On June 12th, 2023, John Romita Sr. passed away. As one of the most influential creators to ever work on Spider-Man, the Art Director for Marvel for over a decade, and the father to John Romita Jr., John Romita Sr.'s impact on Spider-Man, the medium of comics, and the world is unquantifiable. On today's episode, Mark and Dan reflect on his passing.

I knew it was coming one day, but Romita's passing was still a hard pill to swallow. HIs work in the comic industry is nothing less than iconic and seeing a legend like him now gone is heartbreaking.
I am glad he got to live a full life however and his memory lives on through his son, Romita Jr.

romita made spidey solid, a real person in a spidey suit rather than a cartoon representation. The costume became more defined and consistent. But most importantly his artwork was beautiful. Romita's spidey will always be the definitive spidey. By far the best Spidey ever. Romita made spidey spidey.
