We were fortunate to stay in Lucca last Sept. Such a beautiful city. Hope you tried the famous Lucca bread called Buccellato. It’s a sweet bread made with raisins . Delicious! . Another great snack is a chickpea flour pie called Cecina. Had it at Pizza Da Felice. Now I feel like I have to return. Thanks for your video

Dix mois après un très bon weekend à Lucca (ville magnifique, bon ambiance...), je recois deux contraventions pour circulation dans une zone restreinte... Aucun panneau particulier expliquant pourquoi, le GPS m'indique un parking ou me garer à proximité du centre ville... J'ai donc 100 euros d'amende pour avoir passer cette zone restreinte et de nouveau 100 euros d'amende pour vouloir sortir de la ville le lendemain (tout en mettant garé dans un parking officiel et en ayant payé...) ...
J'appelle ça un attrape touriste....
Ten months after a great weekend in Lucca (beautiful town, great atmosphere...), I received two tickets for driving in a restricted zone... No particular sign explaining why, the GPS tells me where to park near the town center... So I'm fined 100 euros for passing through this restricted zone, and another 100 euros for wanting to leave the city the next day (while parking in an official parking lot and having paid...) ...
I call it a tourist trap....

You cannot park inside the walls except in the area near the bus station. The entire historical center is a restricted area. No tourist trap. There are indications with ZTL (zona traffico limitato). You should know that in advance. Typical French attitude
