As a former Police Officer the actions of the ATF are totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL, ILLEGAL, APPALLING, DISGRACEFUL & DISGUSTING. Look at the whole scenario: To start with, it was a search warrant not an arrest warrant, Mr.Malinowski had no criminal record at all, LEGALLY & CONSTITUTIONALLY EVERY homeowner (& citizen for that matter) has the right to self-defense especially in their own home to use whatever force is necessary to stop an intruder if they feel their lives are threatened. Mr Malinowski & his wife are asleep in their beds, the ATF cuts the power to the house (which means there is now very little to no light in the entire house), & I think they also jammed the frequencies to the mobile devices (which means they can't call 911) & the ATF breaks down/smashes down the door & the homeowners are awakened by the noise of the door being smashed down. They like any other normal person with a half a brain would think that they have an intruder in the house, he loads a gun (mine would've been already loaded) & goes to investigate to see if there is an intruder or intruders in the house. Remember the power is cut to the house, it is dark & going to see if there are intruders he sees a subject or subjects in front of him. Feeling that both him & his wife's lives are threatened he does what any normal person with half of brain SHOULD DO, he shoots the gun at the intruder/intruders & the ATF shoot & kill/ murder/ assassinate him. WHAT A PATHETIC DISGRACEFUL JOKE!! Mr. Malinowski was defending both his & his wife's lives & the ATF murders him for CONSTITUTIONALLY & LEGALLY defending their own lives against intruders in their own house whose appearances can't be well recognized BECAUSE THEY/THE ATF CUT THE POWER TO THE HOUSE. THIS WAS A TOTAL HIT JOB/ ASSASSINATION BY THE ATF. EVERY ATF AGENT INVOLVED IN THIS INCLUDING THEIR SUPERIORS & DETTLEBAUCH NEED TO. BE FIRED, CHARGED W/MURDER, PROSECUTED & SENT TO PRISON. THE ATF DID NOT HAVE TO & SHOULD NOT HAVE HANDLED A SEARCH WARRANT IN THIS MANNER

The gall of the atf director to say "I'm not going to discuss our tactics in front of all the criminals..." in a public meeting when asked if they used rf blocking technology shows what he thinks about regular people. Just like gun laws, criminals don't watch congressional hearings. Jordan confused rf with cellular communication, which should have had a warrant also that I don't think they had. I agree, hit job.

Absolutely agree. I was a Police Officer in the 70s and 80s. In my experience, a "no knock" warrant request had to be substantiated in the affidavit where there was a high probability of evidence being destroyed or a history of violence/threats to Law Enforcement. What in this mans history precluded a simple phone call or guarded knock on his door? No body cams. No identification as Law Enforcement. Taped peep hole. No power so he could see inside his home. This was only a search warrant, not an arrest warrant, no crime had been identified. The ending couldn't have been more pre-ordained. Sorry if my comment were already addressed.

In 2021, Arkansas enacted a law which removed the duty to retreat before using deadly force in public. Now, a person in the state can use force without retreating in any place they are lawfully present and are not engaged in certain types of criminal activity. He had no criminal record. The ATF had some concerns. So they just left out the part where they go to his office, ask to speak with him privately and say they have some questions regarding his recent actions? Or better question, did the search warrant include his office? How about the people who he sold the guns to? Did they get searched? Let's revisit the search on the house, wouldn't it be safer for agents to search it when nobody is home? They could have picked him up at his office, and brought him to his home, and technically could have searched it first, since they had a warrant. Yeah, he could have lawyered up, but they still have a warrant.

When the ATF does a search or inspection at a gun shop, they come during normal daylight hours to conduct that they do not show up in body armor. They do not show up with a swat team. They do not do any of those things. A government record and investigation would’ve probably concluded that the guy was not a flight risk and wasn’t violent. This was shock and awe and they wanted a spectacle and they murdered him.

Why would they carry out a no-knock search warrant at 6 a.m. the cover of darkness with that many agents for someone who has not broken any laws? They knew what would happen, when breaking down a homeowner's front door, coming unannounced without warning, who owns a firearm. Anyone would be startled; anyone would believe their life and their family's lives were in danger and would be ready to fire their weapon.

This was not a tragedy. This was murder. Plain and simple. It specifically would not serve the search warrant until the guy was home - which is unnecessary for a SEARCH warrant. So it specifically waited for him to be home knowing that he would in fact defend his home. This is actual pre-meditated murder.

The family could probably sue for defamation. He was never tried and never convicted of breaking the law, so how can Debbie "Eewww" W.S. say he was a dealer? She just decided he was guilty of what they were investigating him for. As for Goldman, all I can say is, "every time."
