i teared up watching this. whenever i get creative impulses i often end up not following through because i think about the artists that are younger and far more successful than me, and how it’s too late for me to get on their level. but screw that! the absence of fame and recognition doesn’t mean your work is inferior. thank you for inspiring me to not listen to that thing in my head telling me i’m not good enough and to just create more, without judgement. ❤

Hi Jess I’m soon to be 43 and I feel the same way, and I’ve been feeling like this for a while now. Took a few days off for a family vacation to the Smoky Mountains and i loved it, sad that is soon coming to an end, nature is my happy place and I found a new love for hiking 😊 I hope to see more of your content 🙏🏼

I lost creativity and motivation In my job, because I am part time, with 2 kids.
I am stuck with my husband 30% of the year at home due to sicknesses all the time.
Whenever I come back to the office, I need to keep up with what happened. In IT things can change within a week, especially in Agile methodology projects.
I told myself, whenever I feel ready and not exhausted anymore, I will make my comeback as soon as possible. I am stagnating at 33 years, turning 34 this week. It's not the end of the world. My current focus is 75% family, and this will improve as soon as the toddler grows out from permanent request age and bringing infections at home
I constantly feel like I’m not creative anymore and that I wish I made more time to create. Thanks for the inspiration Nugget!!

This just came up on my recommended feed and I have to say that this just re-ignited something within me. I am nineteen years old and for the past two years I have felt so dull when it comes to doing anything creative. When it came to my own creative impulses, I found myself obsessing over perfectionism and would constantly compare myself to those who were either older, younger, or even the same age as me and it would prevent me from continuing on those impulses. Comparison kills creativity and we shouldn't have to strive to be better than others, or strive for the fame and success when it comes to that creativity, just create!

Yes! And, it's just a number. I realized that as the wax melted. You did that. I'm now 57, still trying to perfect my first screenplay after 3 ish years. Not feeling so creative in this caregiving/chronic symptom/unemployed season I'm going through... Thank you, I needed this.

Created His first miracle at a wedding in Cana, where He turned water into wine.
The older I get the more creative, I feel… However, my health conditions won’t let me create at the rate and speed and scale that I now have the ideas for. 😢 That doesn’t stop me though. I just try to trust that I am in His hands. Then I just can’t wait to try everything that is in my head.
