"I am a fan of good people." - this is 60% percent of the reason why I'm stanning BTS. Watching Run BTS and the other shows they produced over the years opened my eyes (and heart) to how genuine their personalities are. I love them for being ultra-talented but I fell in love with them more because they have good hearts. They care for other people and their love for us is unmatched. In j-Hope's Butter release interview on Weverse magazine, he said that if he were ARMY, he'd never be ashamed to call himself a fan of BTS. He also called ARMY an icon, saying that the fandom is as famous as BTS now. Stan a group that stans you back. 💜 So excited for Black Swan!

Jungkook is the main vocalist, lead dancer, sub rapper, and center of the group. He does most of their background vocals, adlibs, harmonies, and doubling under the other members. He's crazy talented at everything but still so humble with a big heart! Love the way the members treat each other like family with love and respect

Omigosh yes RM is your favorite! You have no idea how great he is! I’m so happy that you can sense that! Please look up his speech to the UN in October 2018. Also Google the word Namjooning & you get to learn more about his love for art & nature. Many of the lyrics in BTS songs were written by Namjoon! ✍️

You will learn some very interesting stories of each members and how they were formed. How massive they actually are worldwide.

@@TournamentPodcast my other suggestion would be when you are reacting to a song of BTS. You can choose to include 1 of 3 things. A live performance, a shooting sketch or a dance practice of the same song to go with it.
You will be extremely impress with their live vocals while doing an extremely difficult choreography.
Or learn that most of their amazing scenes are NOT cgi.
Some videos are 1 take video. The ingenious ways of meshing a video to match the song with story lines and hidden meanings etc.

When you consider that this has been number one on Billboard charts for 11 weeks, and in 3 months has more than half a billion views, it certainly should be ranked high.
If you get time you need to watch RM 2019/2020 UN Speeches. They are as the group BTS ambassadors for the United nations and Unicef, they are very moving, motivational and articulate. They will give you an insight to who he is as a you man (26yrs) 🇬🇧🇬🇧💜💜
Fun to see brotherly talks in between. One suggestion for when you do Korean songs, you may read lyrics prior to the reaction. As Jimin said, you are nice, keep going!

I am one of those 'once you jimIN, you cant jimOUT' people, but every ARMY calls Jungkook a golden Maknae (Maknae means the youngest in Korean) because he is just born with so many talents. He can not only sing and dance well, but also can draw& paint well, shoot & edit a video to a point where he can direct/ shoot their music video (for example 'Life goes on' music video is his work), he is very athletic and good at pretty much every sport he tries. You know one of those kids at school who is just good at pretty much everything he tries, that's Jungkook.
JK also raps. Like you said, he’s good at everything except maybe fishing? 😂😂😂
Great reaction! Honestly, it will be very hard to rate each song as you go down the rabbit hole since BTS and Big Hit always dish out well produced songs. You can match a BTS song for every emotion you have at any given time. And you are correct, the boys just exude good vibes, very humble, and have great personalities!
I'm enjoying your BTS series! BTW BTS has over 350 songs in their entire 8-year discography so ...depending on how many you rate, your scale might have to change LOL. I'm excited to hear your thoughts on one of my all-time fave songs, Black Swan, which is so artistic and the lyrics have special meaning for me as an artist myself, about the relationship to one's art. Also, I'm not sure if other comments have mentioned this, but BTS fandom encompasses all ages! I myself am 50+ and haven't felt this passionate about a musical artist since Sting & Beatles (and MJ in my teens!). Indeed BTS is the only the 3rd artist of whom I own every album!! (along with Beatles and Sting).

Just a little fyi...Jungkook starts out a lot of their videos because he is their main vocalist. He does most of the background singing and a lot of the adlibs. You will find him in the center more often than other members. Jungkook, Jin, Jimin and V make up the vocalist line. Rm (leader of the group and the main rapper), Suga (lead rapper) and J-Hope (dance leader/choreographer) make up the rap line. J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook and V make up the dance line. J-Hope is also a sub-vocalist. And I guess with Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance you can say RM and Suga are sub vocalists as well. Songs you might react/rank are...Dope; Not Today; Run; Make It Right; Idol; Black Swan; Telepathy; Danger; Airplane pt 2; Fire; and J-Hope's mixtape songs which are Hope World; Daydream and Airplane pt 1

50 Year old ARMY from Rhode Island! Been a fan of BTS for over 4 years and I have to say the reason I started to get into them was because I felt like this was going to be like the Beatlemania and didn't want to be late to the party. Like you, I then brought my children into it by telling my daughter about the Bangtan Universe which connects their videos together and showing my daughter the games that they play. The fact that these guys talk about positivity and loving yourself which is something music today is missing was icing on the cake. Just wanted to say sometimes BTS's songs take a couple of listens before you connect with them so I understand how Mike said he liked the song better after hearing again. Would love to hear more from Mike, really enjoy watching your reactions!! Looking forward to seeing your mom on one of the reactions.
Hey guys, another entertaining reaction. What I enjoy most is that you are really trying to stick to a format, and your effort is what makes watching you so enjoyable. It is also becoming evident that you are beginning to appreciate the genuine character of BTS and that is the magnet that drew us and holds ARMY to them. I know you are going to react to Black Swan next which is an excellent choice as it is a different genre for you to watch and listen to. I have a song suggestion for you; it is Permission to Dance. It was released on 7/9 as a gift to ARMY on ARMY's birthday. It is their 3rd all-English song and I think you will enjoy it I was also thinking that perhaps when you do the rankings, you could add three more columns, one for each of you, and then you wouldn't have to agree on the number, but you could average out across the row for the final Tournament Podcast Ranking (column 4). If done like this, you wouldn't have to struggle over 8.9 or 9.1 or 9.2 or where each song fits in the only list. Anyhoo, thanks for reading the comments, it means a lot to us.

Yes, Butter is in it's 9th week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. 9.5 for all songs, or even a 10 are how ARMY's feel. Jungkook is the Main Vocalist and he is at the Center of all the formations, so he has a big role in the group. He's also a part of the official Dance Line (Main-J Hope, Jimin, Lead-JK, and V). I included this one because it has a dance break that is a Michael Jackson Tribute. The Jackson family acknowledged the performance. I don't know the details of that. But, also Suga was out recovering from shoulder surgery so it's only six of them. They leave a spot open for him and play his recorded part during the performance.

Butter as of this writing has been no 1 in the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks. Backing down only once when Permission to Dance was released where PTD became no 1 in the Hot 100. Only BTS competes with BTS! They are good people, they would do charity work without publicity, only the media would get wind of it after some time. They are also gentlemen, there short videos showing how respectful they are to children and women. And they are crackheads 😂 its hard to catch up and laugh while reading subtitles but they do really make you laugh in their purest form ☺️ keep on reacting to BTS especially their live performances and MV sketches and dance practices. I love BTS because of that, they really seem to be great guys, I’m 44 years old, Spanish, kids and we all love them. The message of their songs is positive, , uplifting
Butter is not just a light summer song, it was made for keep people's spirits up in a middle of pandemic. And like you three yourself said, it makes people almost automatically smile.. So it is doing it's main job. 💜
It is to me one of those songs that are not my favorites. But darn if it is not catchy, and darn if it does not make me hum and smile with it!

From the trilogy of songs in English, Butter for me is on another level, definitely my favorite, I spent the whole night waiting for this wonder to release at the time and I was stupidly smiling the entire video when I watched it for the first time (and the second, third. .). What makes me sad is that it wasn't written by the members, unlike my other favorite songs (all in Korean and Japanese) which makes you feel closer to their music, at least for me. But it sure was the biggest best song of the year and if it doesn't get a grammy it won't be because it didn't deserve it.

Looking forward to your reaction to Black Swan. Although based on your scoring on the songs so far, you might like more of the olders songs back 2013 to 2015. We are Bulletproof part 2, No, Not Today, Dope, Attack on Bangtan, Boy In Luv and other hits they have during that period. It will make you have a hard time scoring though so sorry in advance.

These are just my personal observation. The number of people who subscribe to this channel have not gone up much since I started to watch more than a week ago. I watched all your reactions for BTS songs so far. I think the reason IS you guys forgot to invite or persuade people to subscribe😀 and LIKE the videos😀😀.
So, for the this video, there are subtitles which is good. One of the reason why I like to watch reaction videos is to listen to native speakers speak English. Even though I can understand without the substitles, as you are not speaking fast, so it is easy to follow. But I still appreciate the effort😀👍.

Just some interesting info for you guys. BTS has broken the Beatles 22 year record for the fastest group with the most #1 albums. If you like "feel good" songs, you guys should react to "Permission to Dance" - their third all-English song just released on July 9th.
The 3 English songs Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance dont have Bts usally deep lyrics, the are just to cheer us up during pandemic and try to make us feel better
Butter is a nice catchy song. I look forward to you reactions to their other songs like Black Swan, Fake Love, Not Today and their b-sides.
BTS has seven very talented, funny and humble members, so there are many so called OT7 (without a favorite) or people who have more than one favorite in the fandom. It is not as clear as it was with Justin Timberlake in Nsync or every other group. BTS has kind of seven Justin Timberlakes in regard to popularity 😅 They all bring their flavor and character to BTS.
Jungkook starts of many songs by BTS but not all. You can also hear him often doing ad-libs and the harmonies even with the rapline and his voice is often used for the layering of the songs. He is credited in almost every BTS song for this and is the main vocalist of BTS. He has more experience with singing in english due to his english covers (he has many great covers!) compared to the other members (except RM who is fluent in english), so maybe that‘s why he has such a huge presence in their english songs especially in dynamite.
I hope you can react to some of the videos by the channel xceleste to learn more about them. BTS has such a huge fandom not just because of their songs, but also because of their personality and underdog story. My only suggestion would be maybe rank the song and music video separately. They can both be appreciated separately if you're into that. Sometimes the video is killer, but the song might not be your favorite, you know?
