- I would just like to quickly mention that my first competition has ended! Great, big thanks to all who entered and hope for more entrants next time (soon). I'll do all the formalities and what not when I can.

Okay, Ambitions! I haven't played it at all yet (I'm working on a Sim at the moment) so I can't comment on the gameplay yet, but, I can comment on the items.
I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of indoor plants but I'm really happy that we've been given a handful of random decor such as the detergents and assortment of tools which I've missed from Sims 2 (I'm certain we'll be getting a ton more from future packs).
Oh yeah, and this was filmed in the new neighbourhood 'Twinbrook''or something. I don't really like it because it's so swampy and dirty looking, so I'm going to stick with Sunset Valley for now.
Items in general are more traditional orientated, which as you may know, I'm not the biggest fan of (Modern all the way!!!). but the lounge set is pretty swish!
Anyway, I plan on doing another series of gameplay videos like I did for World Adventures. I've already decided that my new Sim will be going through the Architectural Decorator career path which should be fun to watch.
I've started on his house already, which I'll be uploading when it's finished.
So, there'll be plenty to watch over the next few days!

Can't believe comments are from 10 years back. This game is still so good. I played sims 1 when it came out then abandoned the game for years when I got bored of it. I'm so glad a bought sims 3 last year and not 4.

The game series is all about Simulation of life, What kind of life do you have if you walk around in the same clothing that doesn't get dirty? With the addition of laundry duties it just expands the experience of the game! I know I for one have always, ever since Sims 1 even, have been annoyed with the aspect of lack of washing machines and dryers. I'm hoping that Sims 4 (hoping for that game too) will include Lawn mowing, regular seasons leaf raking snow shoveling and the like!

I love helped mi like crazy looking for a video showing the sims 3 ambitions and its objects yesterday and today i finally found uhuuuuuuu
yay i am getting the game soon and it look totally fun
They already do, just go to Options in the menu, and there you can find: Mirror reflecting On/Off. If you want to put it on, don't play the game first and then change it, you have to start the game open the menu and so on. Otherwise your game can crash.

you can do that with regular sims 3, in the options menu there is a slider for that.

I totally get the building part of the game, I am notorious for spending hours at a time building and decorating a house playing that family for a few days and then abandoning them for another build lol But yeah having Online play would be awesome. They could do something like Second Life so you could have homes and own companies or shops to work your way up in ranks. You could rent out apts .... Endless possibilities.... I think I'm gonna drop EA and Maxis a email!
@TheMileyRoxs in the sims 2 when u get a new extension pack you dont need the older disks and u can only use the most recent extension. Im guessing thats what its like for sims 3 so you wont need the sims 3 disk if u get an extension

for the laundry thing do you need to buy the detergent and softener to wash and dry your clothes or are those just for decoration?
@HyperGal96 yes... they made some real cute hair for the kids , and adults too. And also some cool aprons and stuff for inventing and etc. theres a outfit i specifically like out of the kids tho, its a jacket and jeans, i always edit the outfit and i t looks SOO Cute :D

how do you get fire trucks because i've seen fire stations and I was wondering if the fire stations were already installed on the game.
I guess that makes sense. I just don't see the point of it. I mostly just play the game because making houses and buildings can be surprisingly very fun, and I love all the things you can do that have to do with how your sim look (especially with all the CC out there).
I also love the adventure aspect, and places you can go in World Adventures. One thing I am hoping for with Sims 4 is online play, which would make it more like an RPG, but it should be optional for those who don't want that.

Yeah, I think they really should try and step out of their comfort zone with Sims 4 and add more features like that.

when i got ambitions on disc i installed it and when i went to play it, it said unable to startup. What should i do?

@STEPHENOHYEA No. You don't. It's optional. So if you buy a washing machine, clothes will pop up here and there (around the house). Again. It's optional so, if you don't want to laundry, don't buy a washing mackine, simple. & honestly you should know that.

i love your comments, and yeah i disabled the sound when i was recording the fly thru and forgot to change it back, hence the no sound
and i was just thinking about an architectural design ep thats really modern, i was going to suggest it to sims 3 but i doubt they will, oh well

I don't understand why people want to do laundry on the sims. Laundry is such a drag! But still, this might be my first sims 3 expansion. Gotta do a bit more research.
