Thank G-d for the Chabad guys, the only way to get kosher info from Haredim. Great video, makes things more clear.

Thanks for tying technique but where's the cord of blue we are commanded to include?

    Hi,
    how long are the strings?
Is it ok, to cut shorter the knotted strings after the last knot?

@Synergist2 The blue string was tainted with a special ink of a fish, the fish is no longer around so we can't dye the string, so we do it all white now.

In the Torah there is no mention of fish or any other source for the dye, just to use a cord of blue. Seems we should put obedience first instead of making His word of no effect with our traditions. Should we obey man or Elohim?
Also indigo was and still is the most popular natural plant dye that was around that region. And it's clean to : )
