In the Torah there is no mention of fish or any other source for the dye, just to use a cord of blue. Seems we should put obedience first instead of making His word of no effect with our traditions. Should we obey man or Elohim? Also indigo was and still is the most popular natural plant dye that was around that region. And it's clean to : )
@Synergist2 The blue string was tainted with a special ink of a fish, the fish is no longer around so we can't dye the string, so we do it all white now.
Hi, how long are the strings? Is it ok, to cut shorter the knotted strings after the last knot?
that string looks like it has some weight to it. what kind of material is it made out of? seems heavier than cotton
