Best Engwe test on YT so far. Thanks!
Looked at a lot of reviews for this bike hoping to find yours. Definitely worth wading through all the rest. I put the most faith in your reviews. Thank you for what you do. Please keep them coming...
Thank you Grandpa Dan! I appreciate you!
If this was a US company that had good support, this would be a serious competitor to the Lectric XP, especially for the price. There’s so many companies now selling the same bike but almost none of them figured out that people actually want support after purchase.
Lectric XP has the best customer support , they have a great bike and saved me a ton of money... the bike is so fun and I still get compliments all the time on how they like my bike.
Lectric ships free , 3 days sometimes
Although I don't live in the US, their poor support and reviews are what drove me away from buying the Engwe; I really wish they weren't so finicky and would actually stand by their product and have a good warranty policy
I'm thinking about buying an e-bike but there's so freaking many it's such a task trying to figure out what to get.
Well I have many different Types of review videos on my channel hopefully it will help you decide.
A big dog in our neighborhood got out of his backyard privacy fence and was about to chase me. Another neighbor saw the dog and drove his car between the dog and me. Needless to say, I was so thankful. When I saw the dog and heard him barking at me, I froze and stepped my feet down off the peddles. I didn’t even think about using the throttle. I just thought about him chasing me if I went faster. Thank goodness my neighbor was there. The dog’s owner came out and got the dog and put it in the house.
Who let the dog out , woof woof
Bro Jeremiah... great video, as usual but I am so glad I watched your vid to the end, when you mentioned that this bigger battery fits my old XP. THANKS!!
Thanks for watching till the end…you never know what you will miss!
Thankyou Jeremiah for this absolutely fantastic review. You are a pro reviewer !
Thank You @ Daived Trombetta. I appreciate that!
Very good review! Thanks for testing the motor up hills.
Absolutely! That’s one of the main things I test in my review videos. Glad you liked it.
I hand built a 3-12v 35aH Lead Acid Battery 36v 1000w brushed motor "bike pusher" setup from 10 years ago and still ride it today...but thanks to your video and code I became modernized! I wonder how the difference will be...To Infinity and Beyond! thx! Now a video on super mods for this bike to crank up the battery/controller/motor would be cool!
I think a lot of these bike companies will tell you they have a 750 W motor but it's really peaking at 750w and it's really a 500 W motor. You really need to do your research as a consumer and look at the specs before you pull the trigger on any Ebike. I think the only company that was actually good about telling the truth was electric XP with a 500 W motor peaking at 800w it's probably one of the best 500 W motors for the money. I can pretty much climb any hill with no problem. A shut out to XP for a great bike.
Just like speakers or amps i noticed
That's exactly why I chose lectric even though it says 500w vs 750w.
Too bad the Lectric XP 2.0 has only a 9.6ah battery. Maybe if the cells inside are confirmed Samsung or equivelent quality that would be good as a 9.6ah with Samsung cells may be comparable to a supposed 12 or 14 ah battery with lesser quality cells inside.
They were Samsung originally but I’ve recently noticed they removed that info from their website and some people were receiving batteries that don’t say Samsung on them anymore so I’m not sure if they changed them?
@@JeremiahMcintosh Good to know. Thanks again.
Great review. It made a lot of sense as to how to operate the LCD display and other stuff. Definitely subscribed
Awesome, thank you William!
Always leave a thumbs up. Your videos are satisfying to watch as my lectric xp charges near by….kind of wish I got this one though not gonna lie
This one still my favorite, nice ride on the one and quick
Cured (hard) spray foam is considered non-hazardous and can be disposed of normally. The foam in the packing has likely not been given a chance to offgas yeat so leave it outside for 24 to 72 hours first. If you have garden planters you can use the foam to fill the bottom as most plants don't need more than 10 inches of soil at most and this will save topsoil from being wasted. It also makes the planters easier to move for winter.
Jeremiah ~ I got my Polarna last month. It is a carbon copy of the Engwe Engine Pro 750w. Even though it has a 750 watt motor, it has the same 18 amp controller as the Lectric XP. So, the current going to the motor for both e-bikes is the same. To take advantage of the 750 watt motor, a higher amp controller is needed. As the Polarna is, the performance is similar to the Lectric XP. Actually, using PAS only, the XP will accelerate much faster than the Polarna. You have to use the throttle in conjunction with the PAS to get comparable acceleration with the XP. I have not put the 2 bikes side by side yet to compare performance, but I feel that the Polarna will have a slight edge over the XP using the throttle in conjunction with PAS. Full throttle only (in the highest PAS mode) on the Polarna it will go all the way to 28+ mph. As you found out with the EP-2 Pro in PAS modes only, the acceleration is very slow. I don't like the slow PAS acceleration but you can get around that easily using the throttle in conjunction with PAS. The Polarna may be slightly fasters at top end by 1 or 2 mph. Like you mentioned, that slow acceleration may be desirable for the older set . . . I'm not but 74, so I'm not there yet, lol.
Lol thanks for the info Sonny it’s always nice to hear from you.
I’m pretty sure I’ve tried all combinations of throttle and pas but I’ll have to give it a try again. There is a slow start setting in the controller that is locked on the slowest setting (4) and I’m thinking maybe this is the problem but my Lectric feels stronger for sure.
I was going to choose this or lectric but ended up getting lectric. Happy riding everybody.
Thank you so much for the very informative video. My Brother in-law and I are thinking of buying 4 for ourselves and wives. It would be our first and probably stick with it for a few years or longer. Jeremiah, What ebike would you suggest for 1st timers or better yet which ebike would you start out with for you and your lady please? Love the video. Look forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks
You make very good videos and plus I get the sense that you a Pittsburgh boy or close to it. I've run into several people who have said that their bikes are a certain wattage but it turned out to be their peak. A simple way to check this is put a multimeter in between the battery connection and the bike connection and then twist the throttle to maximum power from a dead stop and it will immediately go to the peak.
After using it for a while now does the bike feel steady enough? Any problems?
+
I have the Engwe Pro 750 watt, metal fenders, no helper ring bar in the middle. You are correct this 750w motor peaks around 800 watts for me and normally runs between 350-500 most of the time. I have gotten it to 27.8 mph but only going downhill and pedaling fast. Most of the time on a flat surface, it is 22-23mph (gps). It is a solid bike, as a great turning radius, most important to me is the rear suspension. Fork is great, but the rear suspension smooths out the bumps in all roads. Rear suspension is only available on the Engwe Pro, not the Engwe 2 (the one you demonstrated). I normally use ECO mode since I have only one small hill on my commute to work. Sport mode is a little quicker start, but I think I am saving a little battery by using Eco. The bike is solid and after a few adjustments I have removed all the normal rattles (battery needed a little cork pad on the bottom to stop the rattle and the rear fender needed to be "tied" to the suspension to keep it from hitting the rear rack when going over curbs or normal street bumps. Overall, a good bike, not as fast and not as much torque (50 NM versus 95 NM in the Tesgo ebike. The Sohoo 500 w will get up to 32 mph, but I don't need to go that fast on my commute to work as I used a bike path most of the trip. I do use the regenerative feature when going down hill and that may be why it is not as fast as other bikes I have owned.
Thank You for commenting your experience with the engine pro.
I reviewed that bike as well, did you see it?
Have u had any charging problems?
Nice bike...maybe just because I've seen so many Lectric XP videos, the Lectric seems a little more refined....
they look so similar though, they might be made at the same place.
The XP is a better looking bike...at least to my eyes. I do really like the brake light. Nice review...is your shadow in school?
(I did miss that the battery works in the XP....)
Its not more refined but after sales service will be better with Lectric
Good Video! I am waiting for a Jetson Bolt Pro from Costco to arrive. UPS originally said today, but now they are showing that it will be delivered tomorrow. So I am watching E Bike videos while I patiently wait for it! LOL. I plan to buy a more expensive E bike after I use the Jetson Bolt Pro for a bit, and use it as my starter E Bike.
Cool. I have many different bikes on my channel so it should give you a good idea of the different options.
Sometimes, as you said, the full throttle is needed. I consider it a safety feature. Good vid JM.
This ebike is very similar to the lectric xp 2.0. Does the suspension from Engwea would work on the older lectric bike. Electric said that the new suspension from the lectric 2.0 does not fix the older lectric. Do you know the the measurement on both of the bike for lectric xp using Engwea bike suspension? Or would just a switch over?
Rewatching this, i really like your cam pov! It gives the sense of speed & as if viewer is actually riding. Recommending to friends to watch b4 starting out on EP2 Pro! Thanks Jeremiah!
Awesome! That’s exactly what I try to show I’m my video to help others know what these bikes are capable or not capable of. Thank You
I almost bought the Mars after watching your videos on that bike but saw this one and really liked it and the fact it had a 750w motor. Ordered it Monday with the $200 code for $999 and it's due to arrive Saturday. Slategray like yours. Looks like they've sold out of several of the colors since I ordered. Now a bit worried about the motor power. Do you think it's comparable in power to the Mars or the Lectric?
I would say the motor power is similar or Just slightly less but it’s hard to tell without a side by side comparison which I may do in the future. Let me know what you think when you get it.
What is the size range for riders? How far is the step over. Thank you, like your videos because you come across as an ordinary rider instead of an “expert “ ( this is a good thing)
It's an "LS" option in there that you can set the speed limit higher.. hold the "minus" and "i" button and then it should be the general parameter settings: LD and LS, wheel diameter and speed limit
It’s set to 60 which is the max.
Did the bike feel like it gave you more power when you used throttle and pedaling at the same time, versus one or the other by itself, have you been able to unlock any of the settings to where it feels like it has more power? For the sale price that seems like a pretty good deal, I'm just a little concerned about the power, I used to have an lectric XP , the first generation , from watching your video that makes me think that this bike may not have as much power as the lectric XP, that is my concern,
As of now I have not found a way to unlock any setting to make it more powerful and I do feel like the XP has more power on hills especially off the start. Throttle and pedal assist seemed about the same.
Thanks Jeremiah, I was on the fence and researching between the EP-2, Mars, Friend.... Letric XP and the like, it's the style of bike I wanted with the battery and controller hidden inside the frame, they all seem very samesame. Your vids were part of my research and helped me decided. I just got the EP-2 Pro, it came first week of December. Maybe they have made changes to the code for the controller because the slow start setting was not locked on the slowest of 4, it was already set on the fastest of 1. The throttle also works in conjunction with the PAS, I changed no setting there, its just already set up that way. It also appears to have a larger amp hour 48v battery. The breaks needed minor adjusting but the rear derailleur was already set just right, full range of gears that work smoothly on demand. Changes I did make: I upped the amps from where it was set at 18.5 to 23.5, set max speed at 60kph, wheel size to 23 and altered the PAS levels to be a bit more aggressive. I also put a ZOOM suspension seat post on and dumped the telescope folding handlebar deal for a MTB quill with a BMX stem and freestyle 9 inch rise BMX handle bars. Everything mounted just fine plus it looks better and handles great now. The BMX handle bar gives this rider a lot of control that felt missing with the telescope handle bar. This feels like a solid bike with good components that can easily be upgraded. I rode all over the paths and trails the day it was over 40f here, slush and snow all over, the bike had no problems at all. I went up a steep hill with out any lagging, I went as fast as I wanted to in the snow and the breaks work well. Super aggressive and fun bike! I think the settings make a big difference. I bought it right from the Engwe web site for under $900 with sweet coupon deal and free shipping, and it came in a week! Thanks again for your vids, they are fun and informative.
That’s awesome thank You for sharing your experience and glad you found my videos helpful! Happy Riding!
how do i change mine in the settings?
Thanks for review. What is the weight?
That things a beauty!
great vid!
How long will the 250$ coupon last for? Planing to buy in mid December.
For anyone wondering, this is not the updated version that came out later in 2023. The newer version has a slightly different front and a more powerful motor that behaves like a real 750w motor. It also comes speed locked from the factory and you need to unlock
Great review. Thanks!😎🇺🇸
what's the top speed and how can i get two batteries and can the bike fit on front of the bus ??
How is peddling this bike when not using power? That is one thing I am curious about because some of these 20" bikes I have heard are easy to peddle when you are out of battery and some are not.
guys i still need help choosing between this one and the fiido m1 pro. Was gonna go with the mate x but it's a bit too pricey for me so i'm still not sure between the engwe and fiido, any advice?
I would like to change the saddle and suspension post. Any suggestions?
I wish all fat tire eBikes would go to the MAG wheels. So many maintenance and flat tire issues would go away completely with the elimination of those conventional spokes. Its a sharp bike for sure with a bigger battery than the Lectric. I really like that LCD display too. Its surely an attractive alternative to the Lectric. If this company can ship bikes faster than Lectric, I wouldn't think twice about getting one if I wanted a folding eBike.
MAG wheels are the ones that this one uses correct?
Yes this Engwe EP2 Pro has mag wheels.
While the engwe does have a larger battery, I find that the lectric has the same overall range
I like the power this blke puts out for the money you pay for it keep up all the good
I just got this bike ! It's insane good ! Best looking bike for sure. Lectric is too commercial looking for me. That Engwe display screen is gorgeous ! Good thing I cancelled Lectric. Fuckn bike would have been 7 more weeks they said. Engwe got to me in 7 days ! Amazing ! I'm so happy. Riding all over my town like a fuckn idiot ! Up and down and speeding all over....
Please do not speed all over, we don’t need them imposing new laws!
"Lectric is too commercial looking "
What does this mean?
I like those molded wheels, I'm tired of adjusting spokes.
If you want those wheels on a much better bike, search on Amazon for the Polarna 4 and 6 ebikes. They use the same type of Mag wheels as this bike, but are a lot nicer with better features galore!
@@KOrnhOliO1
The Polarna M4 is AWESOME. Wanted one but couldnt get it in the UK.
Remember though that mag wheels are heavier…
I've been considering buying an ebike for months now. Your channel has fantastic information and real usable details. Thank you for being detailed.
This bike ticks most boxes for me personally, and has a good price point with the coupon.
Only one thing that I am curious about is the range. Any info on that?
Again, thank you for your awesome informative videos. Love them!
Thank you. I haven’t done a range test with it yet but plan on it in the future.
@@JeremiahMcintosh thanks to this video, I finally took the plunge, and ordered myself an ep 2 pro! Your coupon helped me save 250 as advertised. Will let you know when i get it.
Thanks for all you do my man!
@@tm002209 hi, just reading the comments, did you get this bike, if so what's it like please?
@@welshyyyyy i did, and its not bad. I did have to go through a major issue though. The charger it came with died in the first charging. After that I had to go through a not very simple exercise of dealing with clearly non english speaking people about getting a replacement charger. Finally after almost a month of waiting, they did send me a charger, which is working for now.
As for the bike itself, it is bulky, and the fenders, though metal, are still squeaky. The brakes are underwhelming, and I will definitely upgrade to hydraulic ones. Also, the power delivery is a little jerky, I have also experienced the throttle getting locked a little, where the braking seems scary.
Overall. For the pricing, I would say not the best. But not the worst either. I have fun going on rides with the kids
I'm in France, and today I got the bike, not folded, in a huge box, with tons of things to assemble. It was neither easy nor pleasant to assemble it. I wish it had come fully assembled like yours, with only the pedals to screw on.
What length suspension seatpost did you install?
Do a side by side test vs lectric.
Just purchased one of these bikes. I want to get a suspension post but don't know what size. Can you help me on that?,thanks
How does this bike compare to the lectric xp 2.0?
I have one and you need to go in to the settings and set it up then you will see what it can do..lol. thumbs up.
Love this bike!
Hi, do you recommend this bike to work as Deliveroo worker?.
Could you tell a difference in your power once you got in there and turn the PaS levels up to 100% in number 5
Not to much different it was already set to 96 I believe
The ENGWIE is my next brand of E.BIKE to buy
with the 750w motor 👍
Is there an easy way to get the grips off? Did you cut them? Thanks
Use alcohol or compressed air...
How comfortable is this bike on flat surface bicycle path when u are drivin 30 mph?
Will these tires make it hobble like crazy?
Also the official certificate from Engwe states these Bikes are 400 Watt.
So guess a 750 watt peak for a few seconds. other than that 400 W.
Hey, i have the ep2 pro but it only go to 39 kmh i my weight is 66 kg. How can i make it faster?
Do you have a link for the foam grips you like using?
nice video! Any clue what i can do to adjust the chain because its close to the fat wheels if im in gear 1?
Mine was a little close also so I pulled the bottom of the derailer out slightly.
@@JeremiahMcintosh how u can pull this out can u explain it or send me something how it works?
I have that exact same LCD screen you can adjust power setting the percentage of power you want in each pedal-assist from 0% to 100
Yes that is Correct. I’m wondering if you can adjust the ssp (slow start setting)? Mine is locked on 4 the slowest.
I cancelled my Lectric order and ordered this instead. I ordered back on September 18 and it still hasn't shipped. I saw several people online who ordered a week or two after me with their bikes. Not sure why Lectric was jerking me around. But they can keep their bike and all the accessories I ordered.
I would certainly consider purchasing this bike but don’t think I could get past the PAS/ throttle issue, Is that something the company could easily change?
Do you mean not having full throttle in all pas levels. I have not found a way to change it yet so not sure if you can with the current models but absolutely they can easily change it in future models by different programming to the controller.
Just got it and it’s a good looking bike. But It seems that cruise control automatically turns on if I hold throttle for more than 5 seconds. Is there a way to turn off cruise control? Thx
Go into the display settings....
I noticed on the long hill test your were trying to compare motor wattage and power, but the controller is what actually feeds power to the motor so it's what determines the actual wattage output. Motor ratings only tell you what a motor can handle either continuously or for bursts, not what power it's actually receiving. That one of the biggest reasons why some of your 500 watt motor ebikes feel as powerful or more powerful then this 750 watt motor. Motor windings and other features also affect the speed and torque, but in this case the biggest contributing factor is probably the controller wattage\amperage.
100% correct. Its funny how many reviewers don't know and understand the basics of how these e-bikes work. Sometimes I wonder how they get FREE bikes to review. You would thing the e-bike companies would be more careful about who they send FREE bikes too. Some these reviewers even charge the companies for incomplete reviews.
Thanks for the info. As I stated in the video It is an 18amp controller which is the same as my 500w bikes.
Will I get more miles per charge on this battery than on my Lectric 1.0 battery? Is it a better battery than the one on my 1.0?
I wouldn’t say it’s better because it’s not Samsung or lg cells and I haven’t done a range test yet but it should get more miles. I’ll test this in the future.
Does it work in the winter/on snow and ice?
Omg 25 mph! better hold on tight that thing gonna fly!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😉🤣😉🤣😉🤣😅🤣😅

Thanks for an awesome review! Have you come to a conclusion regarding the power settings or is it still "bad" in hills? I've looked at so many reviews about this bike and I'm so damn close getting one for myself, but I'm a bit concerned about the performance up hill😕 The idea was to buy this bike to start riding it to work since the gas prices are nuts..
What do you think about the hill-performance now when youve used the bike for a while?
Kind regards, Joel
Thank You Joel. In my opinion it is still lacking Power on the hills and that’s the only downfall of this bike.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Okey, that's sad. I really like the looks of it, and also the pricepoint ofc. Do you still think its worth it for commuting to work? Or is the lack of hill performance a dealbreaker u think? Cheers!
Do you have many steep hills in your area? If not it would still be a good bike for the price. Please check out some of my other videos you may find A few others you like as well. If you do decide on one please consider using the link in the video description to help support the channel. Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions on any of the bikes.
@@JeremiahMcintosh I have a few, hard to say how steep though. They are pretty tough on a regular bike at least🤣. Will do that! Thanks! One big problem is that some of the good priced bikes only ship inside the US. And since i live in europe i dont have a ton of options im afraid.
Absolutely, will do! Thanks mate🙏

Man, this what I wish Lectric would have done for the 2.0 minus the weaker motor. Might be able to edit the PAS settings for throttle in other levels?
I’ve tried but no luck so far.
I've just purchased the EP Pro 5. I got it to just under 100mph using just the pedal assist.
What kind of grips do you use
My 350-watt Stigo B1 can go 12mph on a 12% gradient for 6 street blocks.
I purchased a Engwe EP-2, it arrived in 2 weeks, I was very disappointed when I found that the Handle bars could not be fitted due to missing parts in the front stem. I emailed the company who agreed to send me a replacement package, I am still waiting, lucky I paid by Paypal on their website.
Nice review. I want more torque.
is this considered a class 2 or 3 bike?
I was going to buy this using your code, but they only have black left. I wanted Grey and Orange.
curve needs setting plus the zero start is deactivated for safety on some bikes
i just bought the g-force t42 now this ahh man these e-bikes coming out often and upgrading fast

@@latanyabrown6789 it is i like it because its Black and the name on it is nice.. However this bike is basically the same with a 750w motor. It comes with a better seat a back rack nicer wheels and even better handle grips. For the price this bike is going for and features it may be better.

The lectric is faster
Hi, Jerry will that battery fit the XP 2.0 or just the original XP. I bought the EP-2 three days ago with 30 miles on it. I love it so far. Gonna change the freewheel. Did the post & brakes already.
My EP2 pro battery will fit the XP 2.0 or the original just not the step through. You do have to watch though because I believe they just recently updated the frame size on some newer Engwe bikes to except bigger batteries and those ones may not work.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Thank You. I have the step over XP 2.0 So when it comes time o replace the XP battery I will get a EP2 12.8 battery for 300.00 instead of paying Lectric 500.00 for a 9.4 battery.
The new one from Lectric is a 14ah and sometimes you can get if for $400 with a code. I would double check that the 12.8 will fit and make sure that’s not the updated bigger one.
@@JeremiahMcintosh I sure will. Both bikes are here in my shop. I can finally have a bike on charge while riding one. I have heard the EP-2 Pro has regenerative braking. That would be neat.
Jeremiah, I have a 300 watt solar generator. Can the bike be charged as I ride it? I can strap the 5lb generator and charger on the back rack. Thanks
I have no idea sorry.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Here is the answer from Zach at Lectric. "This is a tricky one. But yes it is possible. Unfortunately if you ride while charging, it voids the warranty. But please feel free to charge the bike while it is stopped."
I have similar bike also 750W and have to say this bike is much more powerful when you pedaling than use throttle, and i mean if you just turn crank without any effort and keep spinning like that. Using throttle is not good enough for me is like 20 percent less powerful option, specially acceleration is slow , but if you start with soft pedaling bike jumps like crazy. My previous bike , also 20 inch fatbike but with battery under sit was totally different, throttle was faster option to start than pedaling. I guess all about driver settings.
My 250 watt cube with a volspeed tuning chip does 40 mph pedal assisted would fly up those hills
What you say about the power, being more like a 500w ? This guy felt the same with his 750 hub motor, so in this vid he swaps it for another 750 by the same company , it makes a difference BUT he also swapped to a bigger controller which makes a bigger difference. If you look it is BIGGER physically too which is no big deal to him, but on the EP2 bikes would a bigger one fit? Or did they use the same controller that fits from the 500w ? Interesting and thorough videos that guy makes.
I’m not sure what video you are talking about!
@@JeremiahMcintosh the 750 feeling like a 600 watt , when that guy swapped in a 750 without the better controller it was less powerful. A bigger motor isn't much benefit without a controller to match it and when he swapped out the 750 for a direct bought 750 baftang one the difference was visible. They should really be if they are both 750 watt from the same people.
Hello! Engwe C20 pro or EP-2 Pro 750? What is your opinion? Thanks! 🙏
Between those 2 bikes personally I would choose the ep2 pro.

do u think those tires and rims would work on the lectric bike
Not the new 2.0 but possibly the original but not 100% sure.
Thanks got the ep2 pro after watching this
was it worth it??
@@ra1n535 no not at all came with a lot of problems company tired not to send me money back I offered to fix it my self if they send me the parts the bike says 750 watts buts after getting it tested in a bike shop the motor is only 500 watts it doesn’t even peak at 750watts tool 3 months to get my money back and I had to start a claim with my card company to get my money back stay away from this company
you need to set the pas levels to three only, you will then get full power on three from a standing start. ie mine does 14.7 mph pas1 24.00 mph on 2, and 27.4 mph on 3 pas, and faster if you peddle with it, you also need to change crank sprocket to a a smaller one. as the standard gears are useless cant keep up with the motor, done that but gearing still to low. read the engwee videos on you tube for more, i also added more info on other settings. it climbs much better than what you showed, mine is only 500 watt. and climbs a very steep local hill easily with a bit of pedaling.and i do mean steep.
i must make a correction on the size of the chain wheel. i meant larger .ie more teeth, i tried the 11/28 rear sprocket set as recommended midland bullet riders, it helps, but still to low geared, i have just changed my chain rings, to a 53/39. big difference, you can help the motor now, but first ride yesterday , still to low, i was surprised not a big change i was expecting.
on you tube videos about bicycle speed on a 53/to a 11 tooth rear they say should do 35mph at 90revs per min, i could not get near that, 28 to 30 mph was my best, but a lot easier than the standard set up. i think it needs a 56 tooth chain wheel to get the best pedaling and helping the moor ratio, Have a look at the www.ampridesusa.com site. their bike is fitted with a 56 tooth front chain ring,
watched the video demo, and i thought i heard he said 53 tooth, so that is what i bought,, played the video again and just heard he said 56. Dam it, he was right these bike do need a 56 tooth chain wheel, to beat the fast roadies and lycra louts, they hate being beaten by e bikes. still has enough gears, did not have to alter the chain size. seems to change gears much smoother than before, to midland bullet riders, try it you will like it, a 53/39 would probably suit you, but i need a 56 tooth.
It is a decent bike, especially at that price. Any fenders would be floppy mounted like these, and that back fender will still leave a stripe up your back in mud. I do prefer mag wheels as opposed to spokes, so that's a plus in my book. The motor performance is expected for an 18 amp controller. 18 times 48 volts is 864 watts, and when you factor in resistance and efficiency loss, you won't get much more than 750 peak. A controller upgrade will probably fix that, but options are limited by space inside the frame.
I strongly dislike it when the PAS level limits the throttle, and if there's no way to change it, it's a deal breaker. The throttle is my power boost to get out of situations (like a drunk driver cutting though a parking lot at high speed), and has saved my from injury or death at least twice. Is the latching mechanism on the fram more secure than the Lectric? Excellent review, and thanks for the video!
Hoe much is the outdoor price I'm very interested in getting one it's a very nice one.
Como se activa el acelerador
I went into settings and changed my range from 0-5. 0 of course gives me no boost however when set on 0 and hold minus I'm now getting a walk speed of 2.4 mph. Much nicer.
Have u had any charging problems?
@@lakerdan8184 I have had none so far.
My bike was delivered today. Had a nice drive (25km), was impressed by the handling and power of the bike.
Only thing was, the tires have car valves instead of bicycle valves.
Thanks Jeremiah !
Glad you are enjoying it! Happy riding!
Do you know what kind of range you are getting out of that battery
Not yet because I haven’t had a chance to do a range test with it yet.
Hey Jeremiah....have you ever used anything in your tires like Flatout or Slime? What's your opinion?
No I have not so I really don’t have any opinion on it sorry.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Have you had many flats on your ebikes?
No I haven’t
Kann you actually start from stillstand/zero with throttle only, or do you need to peaal at least some ..... ? Thx
Yes You can start with just the throttle.
@@JeremiahMcintosh - Thank you so much for your super fast response. I truly appreciate it.
