    I honestly see a lot of potentially in clockpunk, but I hope they move away from Steam in fashion and move more into actual Renaissance styles.

    Ive recently learned about the "punk" genres past Steam and Cyber. Heck to be honest I didn't even knew there were more than Cyber and Steam, or that Cyber and Steam were somewhat connected. And honestly ClockPunk seems like my type of thing. I love being able to take old things and being able to modernize it while staying true to its conception, and this and Steam are RIGHT up my alley. Although I still like the more futuristic ones like Cyber and Bio, but I think so far Clock is probably my favorite Punk genre.
    Edit: question, would a combo of Steam and Clock be a good combo, or would that just be one or the other

      Most steampunk or clockpunk has a bit of both in them it’s the focus is it about clock work gods or clock work people it’s clock punk. Is it flying galleons, Victorian values and adventure it’s steampunk. Welcome to the circus I’ve covered a lot of punk genres and working on more soon.

    • @NylasWUP
      @NylasWUP  Před 4 lety +6

      Cyborg Lion you mean my evolution remark? I meant steam ➡️ clock ➡️ cyber in that example steampunk came first as real world concept not tech progression. And was more as point to how I think clock shares more with cyberpunk than Diesel does. Normally yeah it’s clock, steam, diesel, cyberpunk.

      @NylasWUP  Před 4 lety +7

      Cyborg Lion it’s a matter of focus. In my opinion you see more robots and artificial limbs in clockpunk than diesel (both things I hold as hallmarks of cyberpunk) which is focused more on war machines/flying vehicles but that’s just it it’s my opinion .

    Since this is the closest thing to steampunk, I wanted to tell you there is a joke punk called grillpunk inspired by the steamed hams meme. I'm all silly and seriousness there are foodpunks (that aren't NFTs) that exist.
    Baconpunk is a mix of utopia and dystopia surrounding bacon, bacon grease, and the worship of breakfast.
    Cornpunk- 1930s dustbowl "What if we could only produce corn?"
    Burgerpunk- Corporations are absurdly in control. Signs of the next fast-food place is everywhere. It's a not-so subtle critic on American culture. It's a boring dystopia. Nowpunk but with more fast food

    There is a way to separate clockpunk from steampunk, with clockpunk being more Renaissance and classic and steampunk more Victorian and Industrial.
    So the way to separate the two is to make clear the strong aspects of clockpunk, with springs, winding mechanisms, da vincci's inventions, and of course... LOTS OF CLOCKS!!!!

      1490s to 1527 ascetically it can be placed there in or far future or an alternate reality as long as it keep the Renaissance style and clockwork is a big part of people’s lives.
