You finally got your wish! They may actually go into a season with just a few veteran minimum players and a few UDFA or Late round RBs. Except I believe you always said it in the context of going “all in” 😂 at the other positions. I think the cowboys made the right choice taking a LB and no RB instead of a vice versa situation. It may sound crazy, but I think LB may be more important in stopping the run than a RB is in your own run game…

Cowboys have been a passing team the past 2-3 yrs. So rbs only matter if they can block/catch and take advantage of their opportunity when a run play is called. Unless you want the cowboys to be a running/balanced team again

This team has no depth, without extreme luck with health, this team will be a wreck by the end of the season. You cant avoid free agency, and build a team. Pete is not making the team, he wasnt even a starter at the last 2 colleges he attended. The Cowboys only have 2 offensive play makers CD and Fergusen. Its going to be a long season. They would trade for a RB if they are really competitive mid way through the season, I dont think we have to worry about that this year.

I don’t think a better offense was the goal. I think the goal was “all of you (coaches/dak/Micah, other “star” players) show us what you can do with a worse team.” I think they want to see who can elevate and succeed despite having less talent around, sort of as a litmus test to see who gets to stay.
