  • The 39km North Star to NSW/QLD Border section comprises approximately 25km of existing track upgrades and 14km of new track construction.
This fly-through shows both the 30km section of the project in NSW and 9km in Queensland, and provides a bird’s eye view of the project’s reference design, including the proposed rail alignment, proposed Macintyre floodplain crossing solution, public road rail crossings, bridge structures, cuttings and embankments.
Please note, the reference design may change as a result of further investigations, government approvals or during detailed design. Buildings directly impacted by the reference design are not shown in this video.
The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the North Star to NSW/Queensland Border project was released by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) for public exhibition and comment between 26 August and 6 October 2020. The public exhibition period has now closed. As we move to the next stage in the process, DPIE will publish all submissions received on their website and ask us to respond to the issues raised.
