Nicely done. I ran into more of a problem setting up my Canon ScanToFolder capability. Long story short, despite using a Mac (UNIX) to set up my records to initiate PrintToFile, I was getting nowhere. After an overnight marathon and over 19 hours of trying everything i could think if, I can across another CZcams video and the answer was staring right at me...
In UNIX and Linux we use "/" foward slashes as separators between equipment and directory names for a path. I was using Mac UNIX, so I used "/" separators. It made sense to e. Well, using SMB (developed by IBM for use with MS-Dos, their separators are "\" back slash characters. SAs soon as I made that change everything worked. I played a bit with Domain Name, Server Name, and path values, and found 4 patterns that work with Canon equipment. I put together a short file showing and explaining what I was doing,. The PDF file is available for anyone to download from the directory provided below.
Kudos! I am using a Mac (MacOS - UNIX) to set up my Canon Address Book for ScanToFolder capability. I finally got the PrintToEmail to work (Google Gmail has some settings that are a little unusual), but I could not get the ScanToFolder to work except once. But I had to do a factory reset on the machine and lost the PrintToFolder settings that had been working. I spent the entire night, into late morning on it before having to crash. When I got up I tried every variation of Domain Name and Folder Path values I could think of. But, after every test scan & send the printer would fire off one error sheet after the other, telling me I bit the dust yet again and again. But, I KNEW I had it working before, and I had the stored file on my NAS server to prove it.

This was great, thanks! I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a way to get my Canon ImageCLASS to scan to my Synology NAS. I followed your steps and then continued in Canon's web setup tool, and it worked perfectly.

I had been fighting with my printer for at least 2 hours.
Brother's tutorials are not top notch and not functional
Thanks again, this is the first video I've seen on your channel, I'm going to check out the others.
