    Consumer Math sounds like a wonderful idea.

    I love your approach to math and going slow to make sure your son understands it. You totally sold me on that consumer math book! Adding that to my list

    I have never seen this curriculum before. Love when we find a curriculum that clicks for our kiddos. God bless ❤

    We are going to try Denison pre-algebra, and then move into Algebra 1. My 9th grader had some srious math trauma in elementary private school and just isn't ready for algebra one yet, but she is doing so much better than before. I think Denison is going to be the perfect pace for her. Unfortunately she found Learn Math Fast to be too wordy and it overwhelmed her when we tried it in 7th.

      I completely understand. It isn’t for everyone. I hope she finds success with Denison Algebra.

    We finished all learn math fast, bought Abeka consumer math and wish they’d update it…we’re also doing DR foundations BUT we’re Dave people so the lingo isn’t matching and it’s confusing kiddo sooo we’re on the hunt for a consumer math unit study or notebook

    I've heard of Learn Math Fast, but haven't looked much into it! I think I may need to check it out more! Thanks!

    Love the practical consumer math!

  • @CalmintheChaosHomeschool

    I've always been tempted to try Learn Math Fast.

    I remember watching your video about this curriculum and ever since, I have been so curious about it! I literally have no idea what we will do once we get to pre algebra 😅

    We also used a notebook and was able to resold. Senior year we’re doing consumer and financial math by stock-vaughn

    We’re doing consumer senior year…Abeka has so many pieces…trying to figure out what I need as I picked it up from yard sale. I have the teacher edition spiral bound consumer math, skills and review exercises teacher and student and then a random solution key. What am I missing🤣

    Question
    My son is about to be finishing eighth grade but we haven’t done pre-algebra yet. He’s finishing up the good and the beautiful math 6 .Would you start him in those books where they learns pre-algebra instead of going all the way through? I’m trying to get him caught up to where he needs to be his grade.

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Před rokem +1

      You could start him there. How does he do with percents, decimals, and fractions.?

    • @MichelleL83
      @MichelleL83 Před rokem +1

      Love this question!! @homesweethomeschool could you answer for a child who is decent with percents and fractions and for you ne who is not so great with those points? I have one of each!
      We have been using Shormann pre-algebra, but each lesson takes so long and my perfectionist child is stopping the video lessons to take copious notes and then I try to help her. She's not crying, thankfully, but I am!!

      @@rachaelmilne5574 well the good thing is that there isn’t any area/volume in Pre-Algebra. You could always review those things.

    I have one question if purchased on amazon can u still those worksheets from their website or how can you get the rest of their password for the rest of the worksheets? I appreciate the help

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Před 5 měsíci

      That’s a great question. The password is in the first volume. If you don’t get the first volume, reach out to them through email. I am sure they will verify your purchase and tell you the password.

      Thank you for your response. And I really appreciate your time and help and the review as I also want my kiddos to really understand the concepts. Thank you.
