    I just wanna say, you are awesome. One of your older videos I saw recently helped me with my fiber intake, you said in your video if it's coming out hard, and then soft, then you are taking too much fiber. The directions on Benefiber says take 2 teaspoons up to 3 times per day (that's way too much). I was taking 2 teaspoons before dinner, but now I cut that down to 1 teaspoon before dinner, OMG huge / major improvement, very soft now. I used to think the more fiber the better, but nope. Thank you.

    I obviously hope that I never encounter this. For those who do, I wonder if pre-emptive enemas might be a good idea, so that one's bowels are empty whenever one is out and about. Also, apparently there are plugs that can work in lieu of diapers.

      @willbink Před rokem +3

      @TElias5 Hi, I just got the surgery done almost 6 weeks ago. Mine hasn't seemed to help with my leakage issue. but mine was always just a small chance to what is causing my issues. mine were only small Grade II hemmroids. so I always knew there was a good chance they weren't what was causing it. my leakage is probably from weakend pelvic floor muscles. Its all just stepping stones for me towards a path of healing and resolution. I'm just doing what I can to survive, bro. but I'm optimistic. If yours corresponded with hemmroids, then It's probably caused by them. I unfortunately experienced a traumatic event to my bum. so mine is likely caused be weakend/damaged mucles/nerves. I have a follow up on the 10th to see where to go from here. but my hemmroids surgery did help with the pinching pains I was having

    • @willbink
      @willbink Před rokem +1

      @zdheat Yes, I do have a lot of itching and irritation all day every day. that is 100% because of leakage. I tried stuff like pranicura. but for me personally, it's a little impractical for me to be able to apply more when its needed, especially if I'm at work and I have to wipe poo again and its not just my butt being itchey at the time. I'm looking to start physical therapy because my surgeon thinks my sphincter muscles are working just fine. but I'm thinking it might be a little weak from being stabbed there, and thus the leakage.
      because he figured the leakage was because of hemmroids. but after surgery and being done with my "healing time" and following the instructuons to the book. it is clear my procedure did not help my leakage, cause mine was not caused by my hemmroids unfortunately.

      I’m almost 4 months post op and while I haven’t really had incontinence issues (aside from occasional small amounts of gas in the first several weeks, mostly when walking), I’m dealing with a very tight bottom end. It appears to be anal spasms which Dr. Chung has videos on. Not sure if that’s what’s happening to you but my wound hasn’t fully healed yet due to those spasms restricting blood flow to the wound and delaying healing. Although things are better than they were months ago and I still see tiny signs of further improvement to this day. Very much a roller coaster though. Some bowel movement days are better than others. I’ve heard of pelvic floor physical therapy. Seems to have the goal of re-strengthening the muscles down there to their former state. Don’t know much about it but that might be your best bet.

      I’ve healed very well! My bowl movement is consistent now but it took me almost 2 months to be able to stool properly. @@bongadaluxolo494 well that's great
      I had primary piles that is at ( 3,5,7 o'clock) and secondary at 11 o'clock
      I went through laser haemorrhoidoplasty so there were zero cuts it was just the swelling that the laser gave the muscles which is taking time to heal and the source of the pain as well.... I am healing 10 % a day i guess but there is minimal bleeding due to less space available for the stools to pass
      I guess the main challenge now would be to ensure that secondary piles don't reoccur... Coz i really don't wanna go through that pain tbh

    Fecal incontinence after anal surgery is very rare unless and until the surgeon isn't skilled. However temporary incontinence is there after anal surgery since spincters muscles are streched, which goes off gradually as muscles regain their strength. Alternatively one can do kegal excersies to strengthen muscles. I had MIPH( Minimally Invasive Stapled Haemorrhoidpexy) and I faced similar issue. Everything was resolved within 3 months. However I developed dependence on laxative, which took approximately 8 months of conditioning to overcome. Now 3 skin tags are my only issues left. They do get irritated and cause burning sensation and tenesmus but are very bearable. Life is close to normal and I have to poop 3 times in intervals of 1 hour. That's it. I am practicing to reduce it to 2 hours. Reason is my internal spincters ( which is controlled by our mind, closes after some time of pooping because due to immense pain after 3rd day of surgery my brain still feels that the similar pain would occur and hence it shuts tight that spincter). Which is overcomed by me drinking warm water and a tea, it soothes my mind and I am again ready for defecation. Have to do this 3 times per hour and my bowels are empty. I can strain and do everything in 30 minutes, but I don't because it would again cause anal problems in future. Before any surgery patient has to make sure that they are in right hands. The surgeon is experienced and have a good record. Real recovery starts after surgery where one has to take good care of oneself. And also drink lots of water before defecation. It helps a lot in building pressure and smooth defecation. After recovery Keagal excercise helps a lot and is a way to go to strengthen spincter muscles. Also make sure to have weight as per your BMI. Being overweight creates more problems. So its better to have good BMI after surgery. Or to go for surgery after reducing weight nearby BMI.

    One year after hemroidectomy, still my days are ruined. I'm okay everyday until my first poop. Every day I usually poop twice. My rectum bleeds fresh blood and the more I wipe the more it burns. If I don't wipe good then it's incontinence and still burns. it burns for hours. Sometimes it takes taking a stilts bath but then two hours later it happens again. My days are ruined, I can't get away from the house almost everyday. I can't go fishing or go play golf. It can ruin my day almost everyday. A year and a half ago I had hemorrhoids banded. A year ago I had hemroidectomy, for 6 days post opp I had anal sphincter spasms and bled every hour. After 6 days of that I was exhausted, so I called and the on call physician said go to the ER. Spent all day at the ER, then exploratory surgery the next morning. Two months post opp I thought I was better or would get better, but I didn't. Now my condition is just as bad or worse a year and a half later after all the treatments.

      Did you eventually sort it out??? My post op advice from the hospital was pretty rudimentary. Turns out I was only using 1/3 the amount of stool softener that I should have been. Once the opioids wore out of my system and I got onto movicol 3 (then later 2) times a day the constipation eased off.

      @iandudz.88 Let me say, that surgery recovery was rough! I'm almost back to normal now. I've had to totally overhaul my diet although my diet was fine to begin with. I believe I was getting too much fiber. Soaking in the tub multiple times a day helped. I suspect in my case, I've had destruction of nerves which may never resume to normal.

      Yeah. I’m 14 days post op. The worst of it seems to be past, but I’m still not loving life. Hopefully I’ll be able to trust farts again one day🤣
      I reckon I started eating too much fibre a bit too soon as well. I reckon that’s something the medical advice could improve…
