Dr Chung, you helped me with my anal fissure. I could barely stay at work it was so painful. You actually didn't do any physically. No surgery. You referred me to a pelvic floor physical therapist which helped me so much. I feel so much better and they taught me to use my own finger to relax my sphincter. My fissure has not come back. Thank you so much for your help and for giving me my life back.

Thankyou so much for sharing your story, it gave me hope, I am at the point of seeing my doctor, finally , I am struggling with anal spasme and fissure for months now, using laxaday for months, doing all the things to prevent , even went to a therapist just recently and just started exercising, but I feel like it won't go a way , my bottom end tissu are so fragile that each time I go for a number 2 , I go in pain for hours now. Do you think I still have a chance whitout surgery? and can laser surgery can be used for fissures? Thanks again for what you do it's comforting.

@@vincentrivest6235 Yes. I went to other doctors and their standard medical advise did not help me. I take stool softeners and magnesium to keep bowels soft. I don't know where you live but I would recommend that you make an appointment with Dr Cheng in person or online. Also, Physical Therapy will help you tremendously.

This was so good and the way you explained it was entertaining and funny, with your son as well. It’s comforting to know that we’re suffering and having problems the same as others, even yourself. It helps so much that you can be so honest and up front about your own health. We all get it.
Thank you Dr Chung for all your advice, tips and support through all your videos. They really do help if not completely cure.
It’s the worst pain I’ve ever suffered and healing is definitely a marathon not a sprint. It takes months and months to improve. Then mine takes backward steps. I have to really regulate my diet. Any slight over eating and I’m back to square one. It’s grim.
I feel that I’ll have this extremely painful problem for life sadly.
Any treatment I have seems to make it worse and more painful. But thanks anyway.

Thank you for being honest about your own bottom end issues. It means more when we, as patients, are speaking to someone who not only talks the talk, but walks the walk with the same problems. I purchased some Pranicura cream earlier in the year to use for a hemorrhoid problem and it really helped with the pain and symptoms. Months later my wife complains about an issue and I gave her the Pranicura cream to use. She loved it too and I got an @$$ chewing for not having already told her about it.😐

❤honestly, i have almost similar issues with Dr Chung since 2 years ago due to perennial abscess..done 2 surgeries @ 2 different hospitals, but still cannot resolve the issues. after watching his videos i have better understanding of my illness. My first former surgeon was too busy to advise me properly on what to expect post ops which made me switched to another hospital. My 2nd surgeon was super good and was frank with his explanation and what to expect if my 2nd surgery was not successful (which is still not successful but much better than then 1st surgery). I have now come to terms/ acceptance of my fate. Pains, complications still occasionally arise if i am not careful with my food intake or my activities. It’s more on pain management. Thank you, Dr Chung from the bottom of my heart !💚

Man, I never really comment on videos but felt I need too this time. This Dr. is the real deal. I am on my 3rd banding procedure and find my self always coming back for moral support.
I also laughed about the son coming over to ask what’s going on while you pee 😂…. Living my life man! With 4 kids, they also are curious when I am in the restroom.
Dad… why are you standing to pee? Dad, why do you have a beard down there…. Dad? 😂 I feel you Dr. as a father it’s our duty to teach them these things but some times we lack the timing and maybe are not exactly comfortable our selves talking with them on these matters.
These videos have made it a topic we discuss at home. It’s important to me that my kids know that this can become a larger issue and not to take their devices in the restroom when doing their business.
They know of my issues and they are doing there business faster than ever these days 😂.
God Bless you Dr and keep up the great work!

Excellent series of videos that so much match and address the hemorrhoid related issues I've been experiencing for years. I feel like no doctor I've seen fully understands, in a compressed time period, what I'm explaining to them … plus I can't find any in my area (NJ) that offer a range of minimally invasive procedures to treat. Local proctologists seem to jump to full surgery, which seems excessive for my Grade 2 symptoms. Maybe Dr. Chung can do a video where he offer tips on how to find the doctor best suited to understand and treat hemorrhoid problems … not just the type of doctor (proctologist or gastro) but what their credentials and association should be. e.g. - Private practice, group, hospital, med school, etc. Would be great!

All but one which can't be taken away are gone now, but I'm suffering horrendously while recovering and fear for permanent rough scar issues. Perianal issues are a total nightmare and seem to become only worse with age.

Had a multiple marisectomy last month with post surgery complications unfortunately due to hard stool. Now I'm having horrendous scar development issues as they are rough and 'scratch' exactly on the inside of the ring, and the entire area itches like crazy, especially in the evening and at night. I'm going nuts and losing sleep over it. Although Diltiazem helped repair the wound tearing caused by severe obstipation that had to eventually pass and messed up my entire post surgery which was going so well, it is nasty stuff that causes itching out of all proportions. I tried so many ointments to deal with the current itching, but only tonight did I discover bactroban definitely helps!! But I absolutely need to order pranicura. I'm always in pain, itching and suffering in that area. I have one skintag left but I never want to have any surgery down there again, a marisectomy hurts like hell!! A trombectomy is a walk in the park compared to that. I just hope the scars itching is only temporary and they'll soften up over time. I don't want to live with this nightmare for the rest of my life. The marisectomy just had to be done because they were huge and I was in permanent pain and couldn't sit at all. Now at least I can sit for a while which was impossible before. I'm really worried about the current follow up of my latest surgery though....

With the movement you were speaking about after you urinate, that cause so much pain. It happens to me as well. I also get the same pain and tip. I noticed that I can control and relax the muscles in that area while urinating sitting down. I can slowly engage the muscle. From all the practice doing it sitting down, I can now sometimes do it standing up. So slowly I'll soon have full control of it.

Thank you for all you do. I am very embarrassed to write this but want to help others. Mine are so bad I even wished I could have an ostomy bag at times or an anal transplant. Because I have kidney disease I am not advised to take NSAIDS. Out of desperation I bought a tiny metal butt plug. It’s an introductory one lol. I’ll never use it for that use, but the pressure really helps beyond words. It’s like putting a finger on a throbbing vein. This has been the best thing I’ve ever found. I’ve tried everything, multiple surgeries and saline injections, etc. Good luck everyone with your situation.

Great channel for sure. Your dealing with the very real issues of our physical condition is right own. Here is a bit of West Texas medicine that by my own anecdotal. If you have that disturbing and very distracting itch in the anterior then a "caliche" rock is the answer. Take it and do what is necessary. Rub and scrap lightly. The rock comes out stained but the rear is relieved. Done many times out here and I can vouch for it. I would guess that the calcium carbonate rocks neutralize the bile acids. No matter. It is long term relief. Many times. Relief is what we want!

Your videos helped me through my hemmy surgeries. I've suffered from internal prolapsed and external hemmies. Pranicura saved my butt and my sanity. Thanks for all your videos ❤ and information you have provided me, I feel like I went into my surgeries with knowledge and enlightenment and was able to have a solid conversation with my Surgeon and I tell ya he's got skill, which I'm positive you do as well. I actually see a Rectal Surgeon 😷❤not a Gastro or General Surgeon. I think that choice made a huge difference in recovery and the surgery itself. Have a Blessed Day ❤️ keep up the sharing of your own symptoms and your knowledge you provide through your videos they are tremendously helpful.❤

I have an appointment in two days. Pain and pinkish blood after almost all BMs. The pain is at the moment of exit, so to speak. Not a new problem but a steadily worsening one over the last 4 or 5 years. Fiber in the diet. I've used the Preparation-H. It may have delayed my doctor's visit but unfortunately, the time has come.

      @mikewalters3048 Před 7 měsíci

@@SlowST I described my symptoms and the doctor immediately said "fissures", which is what I figured. The actual exam was about 2 minutes. I was given a prescription for some kind of cream that does a number of things such as lubricate and relax local muscles. I have a follow-up in January after things have healed. At that time the doctor will go farther up and exam hemorrhoids. Not loads of fun but it could be worse.

Dr. Chung, can you please do a video for people who have Bile Acid Diarrhea post-cholecystectomy? We usually are put on a bile-salt sequesters medication and struggle daily with either constipation or loose stools and the ramifications of those side effects.

Dr you are so amazing and friendly. Reassuring and a voice of reason and comfort. Thanks for being you. I have a quick question for you dr chung. I noticed somethign today tha scared me this morning, there was clear mucus that came out before my stool and its never happend before that i have noticed, it looked like i blew my nose but the stool looked normal, soft but not watery. I have been having unusual gas the past week after eating things i usually dont. Chines vegetables bean burrits and ch3ese. All over the course of a few days but not every day. All gas inducing. To try to help i took some meijer brand gas x with a stool softner. It seems my body did not like it. That was a couple days ago and has happened in the evening about 3 times since then but i also have very normal movements. No mucus or clear liquid. This also did not happen until after I took the gas x which imhave never taken before. Is it possible i had a minor inflammatory reaction that was caused by the medicine?
I hope your see this and can at least eas my mind. Thank you dr.
