Polk Sheriff Grady Judd discusses undercover sex crime investigation that led to 160 arrests

- Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd is expected to release details about an undercover investigation focused on sex crimes during a news conference Friday morning, according to a news release.
The agency says the sheriff will discuss the arrests of 160 people, including school teachers, a Disney employee, a state corrections officer and a deputy police chief from Georgia at 10:30 a.m at the Sheriff's Operation Center in Winter Haven.
"The online prostitution industry enables traffickers and allows for the continued victimization of those who are being trafficked," Judd said in a statement.
He continued, "Our goal is to identify victims, offer them help, and arrest those who are fueling the exploitation of human beings (Johns) and those profiting from the exploitation of human beings. Prostitution is not a victimless crime - it results in exploitation, disease, dysfunction, drug and alcohol addiction, violence, and broken families."

I am also a United States Army combat vet that served two deployments in Afghanistan as a 19D assigned to the 101st Airborne Div, 4th BCT, I will relocate today to work for a man that carry’s his balks in a wheel barrel!!!!

Job well done!!! I was a child of this same thing by my own biological father and he died in prison after many years on the run. I’ll be 50 in December and still deal with PTSD from all this and I was 12 when I went into the system. Praise the Lord for all of you. I must say Sheriff Judd and the Pole County investigators, LE, has got to be the most efficient and dedicated enforcement to remove these criminals off the streets and bring our missing home. We here in California give you a big thank you and pray all LE in the US take heed and lets get these guys.

Human trafficking is a big problem but two consenting adults who are privately seeing each other behind closed doors, not acting
under coercion or for purposes felonious crime should be left alone. I have not seen any evidence of coercion or attempts to comit a felonious crime. The Leo’s need to crack down on the true criminals which are the actual traffickers, them pimps have not been charged so far so how does national public humiliation stop trafficking?

If Sheriff Grady Judd reads these comments, I want to say this to you, Sheriff: I love your compassion for the victims of trafficking. I want to point out to you - that the men you arrest and condemn in this video are also mentally ill. Condemnation alone isn't enough. They are also in serious need of mental healthcare (counseling, etc.). Prevention is the best cure. The problems exposed in this video would be massively decreased in 10-20 years if EVERY kid in school, K-12, started every school day with a non-denominational 30-minute mindful meditation led by their teacher - combined with a 10-20-minute (longer for those who need it) counseling session with a mental healthcare professional 4 or 5 times a year (more for those who need it).

How are you helping these people ? You arrest them and put them in jail.
Not only that, he's not honest in his press conferences. They arrested an author who wrote a book about child sexual abuse,and who's a survival as well, they had a dispute about what he was allowed to have for his work, during the press conference, Grady never once mentioned the guy was a writer and told the public he was a child p*rnographer when he isn't. The guy has been fighting this for over 2 years and his first amendment defense was just denied by the judge, because Polk county knows the guy was right during the interrogation,so now they are forcing him into a conviction. Not such a forgiving system as Grady makes it out to be. The guy has no criminal record and not a violent guy at all. His cousin is a good friend of mine.

Prostitutes often come from Godless, broken, homes, abused and neglected and often a parent is involved in crime-then they are thrown into the streets and can't afford to get out, being already vulnerable open to brainwashing of traffickers. If you come from a good home you are blessed and can't imagine the horrors these people live. It would be nice if the community would open up victim centers to take in these women and clean them up on a long term basis rather than taking advantage of them. This man of God has immense compassion and treats these women victims with dignity God bless you, heaven has a seat for you. Everyone can change their lives if given the chance.
