I really don't understand why people leave vehicles to rot when someone else could enjoy it it's crazy
Because they’re going to put them on the road again “one day” they’re a “project” - To never be worked on and one day becomes tomorrow then just repeat!
A lot of abandoned homes these days too where people have passed away or gone into a home. Older guys perhaps who collect them and they just get left.
@@paul7TMYeah that also, was just speaking from experience of a step dad who has a few classics and they’ll all be “on the road one day” hasn’t touched them in over 10 years other than to move them about when someone comes knocking to buy them 😂

Nice Stu, The 500E is a rare beast 5.0 v8 only available in LHD a development between Mercedes and Porsche if I recall.
For some reason i get the feeling that the Skyline GTT has a sad story behind it 😕
It was SORN in June 2023.
They are getting old and someone has to dig deep to keep them on the road. Most are SORN, but the total remaining is around the same as 16 years ago (1850).
At least it's in a garage 😅

the heart bleeds, a Mercedes 500E has now become very expensive (the new price in the 90s was 180,000 DM!). It has become very difficult to get the special 500E (the headlights, the trim, the fenders). Everything just for the E500. The engine is also not the same as in the SE500 or SL500. A really cool car.
It's very sad to see what great cars rot in English front gardens.

Its unreal how anyone could deprive these cars of their worth & leave them to rot away😢 especially that gtt skyline!! That was so sad seeing it in such a state they’re worth an absolute fortune nowadays, the interior looked like it was in reasonably good condition aswell

My buddy has the same st 220 Mondeo the only difference is his is the tdci st 06 plate immaculate condition
Best car on that was the skyline I can't believe it was just there like that , and altho a bit of rust there can only be a few of these left that have not completely gone
Strangely, the number of skylines remains the same as in 2008.
The only change is that most are SORN now 🤔

Sadly 66% of skylines of that generation are now SORN. They can't be cheap to keep on the road 😅

The green Mercedes with the roof open doors and bonnet open I notice there a Christmas wreath on front door but this is may maybe passed because that Christmas decoration would have been taken down by now and that is very expensive Mercedes to be left laying around

It’s got about 60k on the clock it runs but has been sat for a few years. Has loads of parts for it too

We don't know their circumstances , could be a bereavement case or something similar , possibly no relatives or relatives don't wanna get involved , but it is a massive massive shame seeing classics like these just left to be shat all over and rot away on the middle of nowhere . Very, very sad 😢.
