interesting...seems like a good idea and should save some weight from aluminum. Wish it was cheaper though, seems pricey for just some thin film. What's the lifetime on that material? Warranty and speed rating?

Hello BF1, We brought this new material into our product line as we found our old VARASkin material was made overseas but advertised as USA made. We sell only USA made and assembled products. This new material is extremely strong and USA made. This 73" wide material as designed can pick up 2 pontoon boats in cradle fashion.
Anyhow, this material is quality made and unfortunately not cheap. Installers with applications that require a high speed rating have installed 1 sheet width of aluminum over back 2-3 beams then used this material from bow to those sheets.
We would reasonably warranty anything caused by this material. However, the installation makes all the difference in the world. If you hang this from the bottom of your boat and it waves like a loose sheet in the breeze, it won't last long whether its kevlar or titanium. So proper installation with a tight pleatless, smooth material finish install is key.
When testing we hung 50 lbs of lead from samples of this material screwed to the roof covering 3 strands of it's reinforcement fibers ( Approximately 9 fibers per inch). After 1.5 hrs, there was minimal warping. That is why we are offering for sale. czcams.com/video/mkZzW6KFrD4/video.html
