- Hi, this video shows you how to cast your Windows 10 PC & Laptop computer to your Mobile Cell Phone. It works with Android and Apple iOS and is ideal if you want to view and use your home computer from other rooms in the house or from anywhere in the world. The app you need is Microsoft Remote Desktop. Windows 10 Pro allows remote access to your computer but Windows 10 Home does not so you have to download RDP Wrapper from GitHub to enable it. if you are interesting in doing this I will do another video with a step by step instructions on how to set it up.

But is there a way to NOT disable the PC display, and just use the phone/tablet to display mirror the PC display to the laptop. Does it work the same way? I want to do this to display a VR reality game, over to the phone to use with a VR Headset. So I want to just use the screencast to display what is on the computer onto my phone, and mount the phone into the goggles or glasses, and play top end games projected to the phone. I guess however this method works, if I were to use an air mouse, or bluetooth mouse with the phone. So basically this is a great solution. To be able to go around your house and run your desktop computer via the phone using low cost goggles and a mouse connected to the phone/tablet.

When your screens are mirrored, can whatever you do on your desktop/laptop also be seen being done on your phone? That's more of what I'm looking for. Hopefully that's not very weird

Because if your pc is casted to phone and you started working/typing on pc it would automatically disconnect your phone

I just bought a otg cable to connect mouse and keyboard, but not sure if i can get myself a wireless Bluetooth gaming controller, or would that effect the remote desktop, not sure if its being done by wifi, or Bluetooth? I believe i can?

@@idka9 you need to go to system information, windows 10 home is standard Windows 10 PRO is what you need, if you have office then you have it as well

I wanna use my BandLab apps on PC and use it for controlling VST in front of my usb midi controller.. kind of irritated I can't control my VST instead of using mouse to ctrl setting such as LFOs, Modulator, portamento and so on.. so they looked like I'm playing analog synthesizer but controlling into my laptop.. lol

@@KyleCalisay You can select the setting as you please (Audio on phone, or on PC) and it works well 👍 ... As you're configuring the IP Address and username 3:42 You'll notice at the bottom "Show Additional Options" this is where it's done

Well, here are the limits, friend:
1: Range, The range of Remote Desktop is how far your Wi-Fi can go. If you want to use your Wii U GamePad (like a Nintendo Switch), punch in your router info (It’s own IP Address, and change a setting on your router.)
2: OS, Android has more games on it’s Play Store, while iOS has Guided Access.
3: Screen Size, You can put a tablet into the GamePad, or a phone. Tablet screens are large, while phone screens are small.

No you don't need to be on the same wifi, in the video you can clearly see him switching to his data plan and it still works, so you could for eg. Travel to America and if you lived in Australia you would still be able to access your PC! This is by far the best program I have found out there that works really well!
So we just have to download is Rdp wrapper, and then enable it and then we should be able to cast our windows 10 home to android phone?
