Homemade compact and very simple 32T Hydraulic Press

- So I built hydraulic press machine with 32 tons hydraulic bottle jack and u profile metal. For plans - width 60cm (23.6in), height 80cm (31.4in), thickness 15cm (6in). Working space about 35cm (14in). In future I will need to upgrade springs, current is too soft.
It's simple but very effective and by capacity is compact size.

It's great how you made your own press and always fun and handy creating your own tools.
What I will say is just because you put a 32 Ton jack in it, does not mean that your design will handle the 32 tons. The U-Beam you put on the top will bend before you even get close.
If you had extra U-Beam material, putting 2 together and upright to create an I-beam would have been much stronger and could take that force.
Alternatively to strengthen your design, even boxing the middle of the top C-beam to help stabilize the beam flanges may help a little.
If you only use it for little things then no need to change anything but assuming you spent extra money on a big jack like that, you needed something with some power.
Very good thoughts 💪 but jack 10 - 30 tons only slight price difference and I use this press mostly for car chassis repairs so its plenty strong and super easy to pump it 😉
@@Work_G only for reference, a regular I-beam (the 100x55 mm version) with a length of 60 cm has a NOMINAL strength of about 24 tons in the middle. The 120x64 mm version can be loaded at about 31 tons. (These are not "official" calculations, only estimations tho.)

First of all too much welding i fabricated two of those and the only section that is welded is tbe cross beams at the top the rest is bolted and for the free movement of the hydraulic jack i use two shafts running through a 1" thick plate at the top and by the way there is nothing that he is going to remove or replace that needs that big jack but to each his own

Ok, that's not a 32 ton press. It's maybe a 4 ton press with a 32 ton bottle jack. No way that frame holds up to that kind of force.
The frame is ok and useful for many things, but you may as well save some money, time and weight, and put a 4 ton jack in it.

Thank you a lot! Yes that was the reason why I decided to build one not just buy, I built size what I wanted, and only thing that can brake is jack, but that is easy to replace :)
Верхушку выгнет сразу и подвижная часть перестанет перемещаться. В таком положении швеллер не держит нагрузку. Надо с двух сторон 2 швеллера боком ставить. Какие тут 32 тонны. 5 тонного домкрата за глаза чтобы развалить сию конструкцию

@@Serggitto У меня просто нет таких пластин, а швеллер есть. Вот и думаю как правильно сделать, на бок два швеллера или коробом сварить? А размеры пресса не подскажите?
32 тонны для 140мм швеллера слишком много. при хорошей нагрузке они дугой прогнуться . нодо было чемто усилить

Пресс не плохой НО верхняя часть слабая, обезательно после 15 тонн порвёт всё нахер. У меня выгибало 2 100 швеллера вдоль на 30 тоннах, пришлось усилять в 100тые швеллеры вставить 8 швеллеры и стал полный порядок. А это один и поперёк, что сказать : СМЕРТНИК.

Springs hold bottle jack and middle moving metal part and returns to top.
so where is your adjustable bottom support / table?
I didn't make that, because of metal amount and I am comfortable with putting pipes and other metal pieces to press out car bushings.

Hi! Thanks. It is mainly for car repairs just like pressing out old bearings and bushings than pressing in new ones. But also you can do whatever you need to - press, compress or crush.
I am a student of mechanical engineering
And I chose this topic as my second year project
All that work to crush a mobile phone, just hit it with a hammer........lol
Конструкция рамы очень слабая для 32т. Основная нагрузка воспринимается верхней перемычкой, а она представляет собой один швеллер, уложенный на бок! Погнет всю раму при полной нагрузке. Вот тут я делал некоторые расчеты рамы: czcams.com/video/g1_StTjo2Xk/video.html

То что вы взяли домкрат на 32 тонны это еще не значит что конструкция выдержит
Да и похуй, переделает конструкцию, предложили по сходной цене тоже на 32, хотел 20, запас мощности не помешает, а если прес не сможет, точно знаю кувалда поможет.
Но запресовывать кувалдой не советую, а просто запрещаю.

Top channel placed horizontally won't take even a ton. Use steel sections properly . Channels do have a spine for a reason. If you want to use it for any other than crashing phones join two channels back to back to create an I-beam.

Телефон можно было и ногой раздавить. Если только для этого, то пойдёт. Можно было и зачистить металл прежде чем варить. Короче культуру производства можно подтянуть. А так, для работы сойдёт.

What is the cost?
You will never be able to reach 32 tons with that frame.. Look at a 30 ton press how much higher the upper and lower beams are. It will bend at half of that if not less... But still nice to have one!
Its no point to use all power for me, I dont have what to press with 32T. If I actually need that much I would builded it twice big and twice strong. But now its just for press out car bushings with no effort.
@@Work_G I agree with Erik. A 32ton press is a 32 ton press or not. In this case, it is just a 4 ton press with a 32 ton jack. Please, don't get me wrong, ok?
