- MalaMala Safari Moments: Episode 34.
...
From MalaMala Game Reserve to wherever you are in the world, we'll bring you moments from our daily safaris in one of Africa's most iconic private game reserves. This is essentially a continuation of our 'Rangers in Isolation' series which was filmed during the national Lockdown.
03:43 the dogs were like, ok, we've had enough of you. Let's get him. That some full on gangsta.
Great clip Rangers...fantastic start to the weekend...those Hyenas are so tough!
Hello, I invite you to see the figurines of wild dog that I do czcams.com/video/bC6GwzbjpVM/video.html
Classic. Dogs were literally "wearing his ass out!"
Gave it a taste of it's on medicine bcuz that's usually how they attack but hyenas have more force behind their bites
@@pipedown1246 hyena was scared to fight back
@@NoOne-vg2qu It was out numbered and that's how they attack and get prey
I love to see wild dogs use the same methods to attack against them
@@pipedown1246 chill guys, the reality is 15 Dogs VS 1 Hyena and they still couldn’t kill the Hyena, calm down 🥴
@@ashdog236 Those dogs could definitely kill the hyena. They simply didn't. I don't know what makes you think hyenas are invincible.
5:26 I think Hyena realized how Lion feels when they gang up on him.
Lions gang up on other animals all the time, stop acting like Hyenas are unique to this behavior.
Go and cry somewhere else. If you can't handle nature, then you shouldn't be watching these videos in the first place.
@@anonymoose9322 In Africa we don't give f to the nature, the wild animals attack our cattle and we kill them on spot
@@BigAssNigga311when did he say they were unique?
Awersome video! It's nice to see how a pack of wild dogs work together-
I think this cost a lot of patience and luck to be at the right place at the right time!
I love how the dog's act as if this is a game, the hyena isn't having to much fun. Very entertaining.
Maybe it is a game, only that it has no rules and referees. If that's not the case, then perhaps the referee was at the fringes of the camera's view, waving them to play on. 😅
They can afford the time, they’re extremely succesful hunters
Incredible sighting and amazing visuals. Whoa!! Thank you MalaMala.
Another amazing sight at Mala Mala
Amazing how they avoid being bit by the bone crushing jaws of a spotted hyena!
Hyenas aren’t an animal that is meant to fight off either larger animals or packs, its bite force was developed over the years to tear flesh away from carcasses to be able to eat and survive, not to be put in an arena to fight to the death. They’re scavengers and opportunists much like the wild dogs, they’re not apex predators by any means
The other Hyenas that arrive were like "Bro why your butt is red"?
have to say that hyena was brave taking on a pack of dogs like that. took a few bites on the bum for his efforts.
Met zn allen tegen één durven ze wel😱
he was finding a way to escape and you thing standing off against them noway
Hyena of the Baskervilles!
Personally, I was rooting for the dog just because they are more attractive ( yeah i know, very vain of me and petty) but either of them I dont feel bad for at all in those situations since they have such cruel means of feeding and always so cruel when killing and eating. But it makes sense since they feed with such large packs so you got to be fast or you lose your meal. Nature is a super big bitch.
@@clutchflutie8750 I was rooting for the dogs, too, because they're my best friends.
I have been living in Spring, Texas for 28 years and absolutely miss the wild animals.
Go to El Paso and check out Texan wilds
Have you been to TGR Exotics in Spring? I live in houston and you can see a hyenas at TGR Exotics. Have you been to africa ? YOu can even go to the Zoo but nothing is as good as seeng them in the wild.
Another great sighting, thank you Mala Mala
Wow, the slow-mo really shows how they work together to seize every opportunity on the attack
Yeah that hyena wasn't able to bite any of those dogs, not even once. That shows how great of teamwork the dogs have.
Wow that gives new meaning to "tore that ass up"!
Hey mala!! Oh ya. Paints vs hyenas. Now that's very interesting indeed. Both are extremely fascinating animals. Tysm ❤
Keep the videos coming. We love them! Fun to see them loving the water
So slick how the dogs kept the hyena at bay until all the choice meat was finished. Left the remnants of bone to them. Gave em a bone literally.
Outstanding action MalaMala!
Superb footage, the lonely Hyena didn't look like it was even trying to bite the Dogs,it had it's mouth open but never chomped down when it could of in my humble opinion, also that second Hyena looked keen as mustard to get stuck into the fight but didn't need to as the wild dogs seemed to know better bless them. 😉
Thanks for sharing as it's very much appreciated with much love and respect from the UK.
There were simply too many dogs for the hyena to engage a single one. As soon as he'd sink his teeth into one, the others would rush his genitals and tear him wide open.
@@afa78djd Exactly
Warthogs and lions do the same thing. The best thing is to keep your butt down and fend them off! The second you engage too much, it's over
Love to hear the joy in yalls voice when watching these beautiful animals.
Sensational💞Hyenas are never knowingly late to a party & feast, they know their nemesis☝ Phenomenal footage & cinematography💓Stunning Wild Dogs gravitating in & around the waterhole/river after all that hype & activity. i love the markings on these wild dogs.
Amazed at how tough both of those animals are.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a sight, wow! Thank you!
tbh when a dog is so pretty. What I noticed is my dog always loves it when I do the things I like and relax, like when I game CoD or listen to some of my favourite bands like Delta Parole it feel like my dog is rocking out to the music together with me. Being a dog owner is one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life, if you can give your dog the time he or she needs you will learn something new about your dog every day.
I like the way those wild dogs communicate, sounds like chipadee chipadee chipadee chipadee chipadee.
i just love to see this laughing thieves getting dismantled hahaha!!! wilddogs are awesome
As usual a fantastic video, wow.
The crocs missed out on a buffet here
Reporter: wild dogs what is your favourite dish?
Wild dogs: nothing much, just the ass and all the areas surrounding it.
Loooooooooooooool
Hahhahahha
The dogs seem to appear and disappear at the same time.what a tactic😄
At 4:55 Hyena looks like its saying "come on guys! I give up.. aw come on. I'll just sit here and watch. OUCH you little shit.. whatchu gotta bite for"
I do my love my Dogs especially when they can give the hyena some dominance for once , go puppies

I love how they slo mo this because it’s usually so fast between the dogs and the hyena u can’t get the whole picture but I’m lovin the fact the hyena is gettin the bad end of this fight.
Enjoyed the editing with the dogs attacking the hyena. Wow. Three different predators in the same area is bound to give you some action. Thanks for sharing.
The puppies didn’t know how to get down! ❤️🐾😊 That was a very interesting exchange between the wild dogs and the hyena. I’m glad none of them were mortally wounded in the affray. Thank you for sharing, @MalaMala Game Reserve.
@vaughn - Thanks for setting me straight. 😢
@vaughn - Oopsie! It happens. No worries. 😊
Don't Mess with Hyenas. Hyena Tough is the Word.
Unless the wild dogs pull in like the hood with a revolver
The best hyena wild dogs encounter footage i ever watched
The wild dogs were relentless in nipping at the hyena. Shows when the pack collaborates they are formidable. Well, that is until more hyena show up. Then, it's time to go.
Hello, I invite you to see the figurines of wild dog that I do czcams.com/video/bC6GwzbjpVM/video.html
Yeah that was one RAW ass when they got done with him.
*By the time the rest of the hyenas showed there was only skin and bones left, why fight over scraps?* 🤷🏻♀️
@@mefford67 It's the nature of carnivorous animals? I suppose every scrap counts.
@@sculpterrier7118 Lovely sculptures. You're quite talented.
Great Video, especially the part of slo-mo hyena snarling a defence of his bum. I'm surprised though that the hyena showed up after the dogs' pups tried to feed. The dogs usually will go ballistic on a hyena in the presence of their pups.
Thanx MalaMala 👍🏻👍🏻🙂
Those dogs have the best teamwork ever. They distract the Hyena only for one of their pack to take a bite out of it from the other side avoiding every single bite from the Hyena.
I love these painted dogs! They are highly intelligent animals who care for their own.
Hyenas are even more intelligent and they care for their own too...well, to a certain degree.
@@rebeltvr6046 Hyenas aren't dogs. If you think they care for their own, look at how the males are treated. I'm not an expert, but I saw a doc were they said the dogs cannot best a hyena one on one, but as a pack they defeat hyenas because they work as a team.
@@justiceforall6412 No they're not dogs. They are distantly related to cats.
@@rebeltvr6046
Hyenas are dogs, those who say they are related to cats then they are dumb fools.
@@justiceforall6412 A hyena couldn't best a lion 1v1 too. A pack is also needed.
0:49 what an amazing shot!
Just like humans..We live in packs and protect "one of the same"..can't deny it.
Funny how the 2nd hyena doesn't take a bite at the dogs. Just turns around and says "look at my pretty teeth"
Yes, it was incredible that the hyena was postulating the whole time. Probably realizes that a bite may only create more pain in its butt when the dogs know that the hyena's mouth is occupied. That is where team work comes whereas the hyena has to calculate if a bite is worth the reward. However when a single lion attacks a hyena, it invariably goes for a bite. Amazing creation of nature.
Heard the drums in the beginning and thought Cosby Show was coming on 🤣
They are not kidding wild dogs! She made me sad the Hyena, luckily she managed to save herself ... today, the power was on the side of the Wild Dogs. 🙂
Thank you for the video 👍
I think the wild dogs are the toughest squad in the jungle. they are too many, too energetic, too quick, completely brave and too smart! If one were to be anything out there, maybe he'd want to be one of those.
@@truecanadian8254 they lost? ... U made me rewatch it ... They gave that hyena the ass woopin of his life and bounced after eating most of the kill. not a single one took a single bite from a hyena, and maybe they could have given those hyenas a formidable fight. Probably wasn't even worth it. I think they won. They did what they do - but you do have a point.
@@Knowledge01 .
@@Knowledge01 wild dogs 100% won. They took most of the food, no point in fighting
Lol in what universe? The toughest squad in the jungle are Lions and Hyenas, if Dogs were the toughest squad then how come 15 of them can’t kill a lone Hyena? A Lion pride can kill a Hyena. Sorry but that doesn’t make any sense.
After watching thousands of hours of Animals documentaries i concluded, this is the greatest scene to ever be recorded.
🙏🙏🙏🙏 thank you for the kind words!
Fear of crocs 7:42
Excellent footage. From the slo-mo it seems that the hyena could bite a dog but refrains from doing so.
Focusing on a single dog would occupy the hyena's jaws leaving it vulnerable to the rest of the pack. Better to use its teeth to intimidate and force them to back off.
Yeah I spotted that, possibly it instinctively knew that if it grabbed the dog the others would be on it more ferociously in an instant. That's what they themselves do to lions.
It drives me nuts, why Hyena’s are so passive I’ll never know, one day we’ll get a video of a Yeena biting a Dog back and it ain’t gonna be pretty.
Those dogs are relentless.
What a scene to see that evil creature in slow motion.
Great fight!
Looks to me like somebody missed a heck of an opportunity to try out their new AR-15
Brilliant footage! Thank you.
It received quite a greeting, good for a thief 😂
Disclaimer-No hyenas were seriously harmed in the making of the video.
Only a male lion can take a Hyena down. They are as tough as it gets in the animal kingdom. I've seen them walk away from complete maulings from a bunch of lioness's.
Hyenas have the most powerful bite of any animal . and can run al day full speed with out stopping
Wow great VIDEO credits must given Salutes.
Super Top...👊👊👊
Wish I was a wild animal 😂 they only worry about getting food no needs and wants
Wild animals only worry about food and mating 😆
@@rakeshgupta921 nothing else 😅
I love their unity and they don't fight each other for food
Were the hyenas towards the end of the video grabbing whatever they could from the carcass and then rubbing up the little hill and stashing those parts for later?
50 dogs 1hyena and it still walks away with food a bunch of real bad asses
15 dogs. Still badass though. Scavenging hyenas are the only predators that will go to a leopard, take its meal and walk away without initiating combat.
Hyenas remind me of Goblins LOL
lol
Dramatic, incredible footage. Poor hyena!
Feel bad for heyena..
Makes me 😂 too
If the hyena manages to latch onto one of those dogs with those bone-crushing jaws of his, then that dog is finished. Lol.
Those hyena are not ready for those dogs
I wish people who film these amazing scenes would NOT TALK.
Dogs do what's natural for dogs. Hyenas do what's natural for hyenas. People do what's natural for people.
9:00 I thought the two Hyena's were going to rescue the other Hyena. They just went for the food.
I love Africa's Painted Wolves! The strength of the Wolf is the Pack! And strength of Pack is the Wolf!
Are they dangerous to humans?
Could you pet one?
I love wild dogs. Best team work
IMO Wild dogs have the best reflexes of all animals. Not once have a Hyena bit them. The slow-motion clips make you appreciate their reflexes.
Cats have better reflexes than dogs/canines. But wild dogs are extremely quick...they have to be.
@@Ispeakthetruthify I take it you did not watch the video. You are comparing you dumb domestic dog with these dogs? Look again and tell me when you have seen another dog or cat for that matter that is faster in reacting to a threat bigger than it.
I have seen lions get bitten by Hyenas when they go for the attack.
@@sunnyduscle Obviously...you know NOTHING about wild animals. And you obviously have no comprehension skills.
I said that Wild Dogs were "extremely quick", they have to be, in the environment they live in. But just by body design, and physiology...cats are quicker, and have FAR more quick twitch muscles than wild canines. Cats can jump higher, spring from a standing position further, climb trees, twist and contort their bodies in all kinds of ways, etc, etc, etc.... Show me a wild dog species that can do those things. Yeah...you can't. Wild canine species can do none of these things. They're just not designed to.
And of course lions get bitten by hyenas, lions even get killed by hyenas. Just like wild dogs are killed by hyenas, and wild dogs can kill hyenas under the right circumstances. I don't know what your point was by saying that?
@@Ispeakthetruthify wtf are you on about ? Foxes literally do all the things you stated a canid can't 😂😂. I literally see them jump high, climb, twist, maneuver. Foxes can do all of that so your statement is false
@@Ispeakthetruthify but all them skills you stated are overrated because wild dogs are the most successful land predator on earth

dogg to dogs: we smoke dhat biatch!
The hyena went from thinking that he'd steal a meal to thinking that he'd might be a meal....the dogs went from thinking that they were gonna kick his ass to literally eating his ass. LOL
That’s a very dog fanboy interpretation of what happened, I saw 15 weak dogs ganging up on a lone Hyena and the Hyena coming out of it 100% fine and not injured 🤷🏻♂️
Solid footage.
First few seconds of this video sounds like the first few seconds of the Cosby Show theme song from Season 1!
