I think it has more to do with cap rules. Riley talked bout that in his presser about how the current structure of the league makes it difficult to keep guys you develop outside of drafting them.

Caleb is a real glue guy his electric and acrobatic plays on the court. His reliability and incredible back story. A true culture guy. I will miss him, but i get it, and i wish him all the best.

Honestly, I love Caleb and he fully embraces Heat Culture but he is just not the guy we want him to be. In the Boston’s series last season he was incredible, but this season he did NOT show up at all and honestly I’m happy he is gone. He just felt like a chore to pass the ball to maybe see if he can knock down a long 2 😒

I can’t really agree with what you’re saying about Gabe and Max. They would have been better off this year with Gabe and Max, getting off Tyler’s contract instead, and we would have started the year off with a team that had fantastic chemistry, and we wouldn’t have had use Lowry’s expiring to get someone that could actually do what Tyler was too limited to do in terms of dynamic, on ball shot creation.

This is how you know Pat Riley's attitude for this offseason is bullshit! There's A LOT of changes that will happen with the roster before the season starts. Changes like this one. Add them up it is now 2 offseasons of LOSING INTEGRAL role players and not adding much. Better embrace what's happening and act accordingly Pat Riley!
