    Chongqing - On January 20, Guofei General Aviation Equipment Manufacturing held a fire drill in Dazu, Chongqing. Combining the characteristics of high-rise firefighting in Chongqing, they used six high-rise fire fighting drones to quickly put out the fire, so that guests at the scene could witness the miracle of a high-rise fire fighting UAV.

    What about drones with built-in compressors to keep high pressure on the hose? Drones could be connected with each other at a certain distance (while keeping the hose out of reach of the drone's prop). That way the pressure could be kept high and drones will be carrying an exact amount of weight without being too heavy. The technology to program the distance from each other is there, but it's note that cheap.

Packing them tightly in a disassembled state how many could you pack into a shipping container. Picture 10 or 20 semi's showing up to a fire, they self assemble and get to work.

Each drone needs 1 person to fly it. That's 15000 people trying to organise an effective water drop. Sorry pal, it aint gonna happen.

    I already see a big problem with it you need a way to direct the water 💧 other then straight. The reason it’s needed big time is if you brake out the window and the fire is not right in front of the window 🪟 say it’s jest right next to the window 🪟↘️ 🔥on the right side you need to be able to make the flow of water go around the corner 🪟 ↪️ 🔥 💦 to put it out or have the ability to adjust the sprayer nozzle to fan out wide. Fix this issue and you will definitely have the best invention for fire fighting. And if you can get more gallons of water it would be even better because by the time it’s empty and refilled the water nearest the fire would have evaporated already causing the fire to expand yet again. The one other improvement that could be helpful would be to get the water to come out like an laminor flow so it doesn’t mist wen it is sprayed with this you can shoot a lot further under hight pressure and use less water to fight the fire let me know what you think about this idea

      What!! Of course they won't!! It may be okay for 3 drones to put out some paper on the outside of a building (that one man can do), but what about inside? Drones will not fly through narrow passages and behead fleeing civilians they also need high pressure hoses not mains pressure.

  • @loply9724
    @loply9724 Před 4 lety +2

    Doesn’t look practical. By the time anything like that would get there and be deployed, the fire would be out of the range those drones are capable of dealing with. Unless it can put out much more water than that, it’s like a normal sprinkler.

    • @brobno9
      @brobno9 Před 4 lety

      Loply97 One suspects when the finished system is tweaked, streamlined, & up & running, there will be a specialised tender, like a turntable ladder tender, in every Town/City, scrambled for high rise fires, with heavy duty drones that can be quickly deployed, & carry larger & longer hoses, for a longer period of time. Give them a chance?!

    • @loply9724
      @loply9724 Před 4 lety

      brobno9 I’ll give you that it’s a cool idea, but I don’t have much faith that that end result is going to be practical enough for most departments to adopt. The hose size required to put out enough water to contain a fire, which would probably have already been burning and gaining momentum by the time the drones are deployed, would be on the larger diameter side of the spectrum. Bigger hose means more water, which is incredibly heavy. I could be wrong and Ill keep looking in on this every now and then, but right now I believe that in order to be effective, these drones would have to be massive.

    • @smokeyveras7235
      @smokeyveras7235 Před 4 lety +3

      Loply97 they’re using a foam agent as it’s less dense therefore not as heavy. As a firefighter, these will be helpful. Anything to stop the spread of a fire will result in lives saved and people still possibly having a home. It’s not also not as easy to get the biggest fire line you have, in a large building. Lots of corners to get around, and leaves a good chance of the line getting kinked. Before any of that, you have to get up to where the water is needed.

    • @Blackenese2plz
      @Blackenese2plz Před 3 lety

      @@smokeyveras7235 Way I see it they would be a good supplement to have dispatched with a ladder truck. Have the ladder delivering the majority of water and drones spraying around the edges. Would be useful to stop fire spreading to adjacent buildings.
