How was the segment from the beach to the main Waipio Valley road? Is the soil hard packed with water standing on it in the ruts or do the ruts have significant mud or? What rig were you using and did you use 4 lo the whole time and did you ever use your rear locker if equipped. We are going in April 2022 and will have use of a 2021 ford ranger fx4.
Basic rental Jeep. 4 Low the majority of the time. Hard pack with standing water and some rocks. I saw a few contractors driving the road in F150s loaded with lumber and other building supplies. As long as you have 4 low you should be fine.
