I've ended up purchasing Paul Huson's book based on your advice, and I agree with you that it is a book full of amazing, well researched information. Thank you for the suggestion.
The one thing I find a bit regrettable is the book missing to integrate the "The Ra Contact" account into the origin of Major Arcana. To me, at least, The Ra Contact shows how the original trumps' meaning was lost, found, and partially re-integrated in today's Tarot. The Ra Contact was channeled in 1980s and older books could not know the information. If you are interested, the Ra Contact is freely available online and makes a compelling case for the Egyptian origin of the Major Arcana. Arthur Rosengarten also proposes a link between Major Arcana and Jung's archetypes in his book "Tarot and Psychology".

Extremely interesting! Ronald Decker in "The Esoteric Tarot" also talks about Eygptian connections - but not in the way that was assumed in the 18th and 19th centuries.

What a treasure trove of books. I was not familiar with the Robinson or the Louis books, so great to have something new to pursue. And so happy you are a champion of Paul Huson. I think I have everything he ever published. All the books and the tarot deck. He is an absolute gem. Looking forward to more of your wonderful videos.

oohh,,,and Etteilla is actually his name backwards..Alliette. He was a hair dresser besides a cartomancer.

ps, I recommend the longer (blue) Paul Huson book, rather than the little green one.

If you like Taschen's "Tarot", you might also like "Tarot & Divination Cards a Visual Archive" by Laetitia Barbier.
Here's a question, why is the word ribbon not coming out of the King's mouth in the Visconti Sforza's Fortune?

Have you read / reviewed Fiebig & Burger "The Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waite Tarot"? I just started it and am not quite sure how I feel about it. Just a few pages in and I don't agree with much yet. I picked it up on a whim.

I haven't read it, no. I'll see if I can find it when I'm next in Watkins Books.

@@teatarot4557 it is beautiful looking, glossy pages with full color images showing symbol meanings, but thus far I don't agree with the first few pages of tarot "theory" and haven't gotten to the symbols yet. I know you are more knowledgeable on symbolism so I wonder if that part of the book is better.

😮 Dame Fortunes is 😮😮😮 ohhh this was an eye-opener. That deck has a little white book with descriptions that match with the Etteilla decks. Thanks so much for guiding me into the right direction. This is priceless!❤
