    Wow I learn so much from you Matt thank you for all of the videos! I feel like Im not that strong in haircuts. I do ok...it's just the angles and finger positioning always gets me confused and feel like I don't know what I'm doing. I gotta get a bunch of mannequin heads and practice and memorize these cuts and steps😔

    They called this cut square layers at my hair school and the 180 degrees cut was shifting the angle to 180 as you are doing in some parts of the vid,it's strange we get taught things a bit diff but I love watching diff hair dressers and learning from each other's techniques.
    Anyways I love your vids and your a great hair dresser 😊 thanks for your videos 👍

    Nice man! I really like the over extended 180 cut to frame the face; it also helps create the wind swept effect from the face as well. Farrah Fawcett/Jill Monroe lives!

    your method makes sense! i was shown to do the face frame first then make the mohawk section at at the same angle yoy had and keep doing that on each side till there no more cutting needed then so what the stylist at work said cusian it method and comv the side over the face and add the back cut till there a point no more cutting needed
    idk he is right
    I got a hair cut today at work so i hope i do well and my friend likes it

    • @Dazoxa
      @Dazoxa Před 5 lety

      I know this question is a year late, but I would leave out an inch or two around the hairline (depending on density) so that you can keep a thick enough perimeter to not have to lose much length. Another option is to elevate until the perimeter falls out. Imagine the perimeter around their hairline as their "extensions" and the layering as their "real hair".
