OMG! Matt, this is the BEST tutorial of a long layered haircut with a side part. You continue to be my go-to time and time again. I truly hope you know how talented you are. I appreciate you so much!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You are literally my favorite person to watch- such a great teacher!!
Love the layering tech .. the music brings me back to when we were in your classes every day during the shut down ... thank you Matt !!!
Omg......I now start my hairdressing course , a life long dream I always had, but you know marriage , 2 kids and well life itself got in the way. I have watched between 7 to 8 million of these videos...lol 😂 and I must say , THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE "BEST" I HAVE EVER SEEN......you are a boss , you take your time and explain the video so simple but yet very proffesionally , the different angles he uses for his fans to see properly , JUST PERFECT , I am amaze and totally satisfied . I watch it over and over cause I am obsessed ......GREAT VIDEO SWEETIE , YOU ARE A GIFTED PERSON IN THIS PROFFESSION .....❤👍❤👍❤👍❤.
Congrats, hope u did well
This is SO helpful. Thank you for sharing with us. You're a great teacher.
This guy really knows his stuff. He knows ahead of time how the layers will fall in relation to what's below and above. That is such a remarkable and attractive layered result...never seen as good by other stylists. Bravo man!
I agree... He's know his stuff.
Thank you! You are the best teacher I have seen, I have watched at least 60 videos this month ! Love the way you explain how and why you section ,! Love the way you left length ! You are an awesome teacher , and I can tell you care about how your hair cuts look ! Seen so many other styist just chop up hair showing off! With the result being very thin hair and most length gone ! But you are really smart and know how to reach ,! Hope. You make more video!!!! Thank you for your humble teaching !!!?
Stunning. Matt you are truly talented. Above all you give your knowledge for Free. What could any Hairdresser ask for, or even budding Hairdresser's. I learn something new from you every single time. Thankyou so much. ❤️❤️ You are a true inspiration 👍
Your videos are just amazing. This is so good explained - I always wanted to educate myself in hair cutting and the way you present this is professional in technique as well as in filming. Just great videos. I'm looking forward to see more. Thank you!
I did 2 hair cuts today using your technique and boyyyyyy they came out so nice! Not choppy, not staggered but VERY well blended! I only did a tiny bit of dry snipping to get some off the strong foundation guide but the rest was nearly seamless! I did one with the side part and another with a middle part using this technique and both came out beautifully!
Hello. I didn't fully understand because I don't know the language well. Did someone cut the right side of the hair and the left side? But the result is the same.
Matt if you got tonnes of hits on this haircut today, that was me! I watched till I memorised it and just did this exact haircut on someone this evening. She loves it. Thank you Matt!!!
Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your time to teach everyone.
I combined this haircut with some details from your other video clips and cut my hair all by myself... without any overreaction, this is the second time in my whole life I've been completely satisfied with my haircut! you guys deserve all help you need for your business to grow...... thank you!!
Same!! 😁
Such a good tutorial to understand the sectioning, layering, head shape, volume etc. Thank you!
I agree 100% this guy is the best teacher on you tube , give us more !!!!

Great technique and execution Matt thanks for sharing. Totally dig your explanations/ terms & terminology, really very clear and precise 🙌🏼
The best technique I’ve ever seen before. I’ve learned a lot just watching this video.
Yes ,yes , I agree, are you kidding me? This guy is greeeat.
It’s a great video. Thank you for showing us your a great teacher
I am only as good as my last haircut, but thanks to you and your constant education, I'm as fnnn good as my last haircut. In New Mexico it's long layers all day errrrrr day. Sometimes, you do so many that you almost forget how to do them(if that makes sense).......That being said.......what the ever loving fart nugget is the popping noises every few seconds that sound like bubbles being burst? It's driving me crazy. Love you!
I learned the importance of sectioning from you and I will continue doing so as long as I cut hair.
Thid was such a clear video. Exactly what I needed as a preparation to deliver a flawless haircut to my customer tomorrow.
Although it seemed at times that you did not completely elevated the hair in the back at 90, but slightly below.
Anyway, very good explaining. Thank you for creating this!❤
Beautiful graduation A line tutorial! Easy to follow! Definitely will use this guide❤
This is the best in the industry! The best teacher , nice explanations and visual , easy to follow ! He is better than any school ! I learned a lot watching him , he really deserve the best award in this industry ! Thank you for you dedication! 🙏😘
After 18 years of being a stylist, but on and off, and not currently working,I love learning New techniques and I really appreciate your videos 😊❤ You can never have to much Knowledge when it comes to Being in the hair industry!! Thank you
I’ve been in the hair industry for more than 30 yrs specifically… my specialty is haircuts, this is my go to technical education. I discovered his tutorials couple of months ago. It’s so refreshing to add to what I already know. His easy to follow technical guide,in-depth knowledge of hair anatomy, visual analysis of how to make any haircuts work balance is really superb. He pays attention to intricate details. Makes it methodical … the fun thing about is marrying your own individual touch to the fundamentals …just love it! Makes it still exciting for me ,,, well way after over 30 yrs!!!
Very detailed. Excellent Educator👍 thank you very much!
I wish I could cut my own hair using this way. lol. I naturally have a side part because of a cowlick and want to keep it long but with layers. This is the perfect tutorial :)
uhhk
We are in the same trouble 😔🙌

One of your best yet. Good detailed explanation! Thank you Matt! What size scissors were you using for this one? Also was there ever a winner picked from the Saint Baldricks raffle you had months ago?

Te agradecere Siempre los videos educativos Mil Gracias expectacular 👍✌🏻
Love this! I am however confused about one thing. When working with the back quadrants, why is it that you wouldn’t pull the sections you’re layering straight out from the head instead of pulling it back?
Thanks for the help and very happy
I will be signing up with you for classes soon!
Ooh yeah baby
Your teaching teqnic so clear and I learn so easy
Beautiful done sir
This is a really good tutorial, i'm going to try this on my friend lol
Thank you!💕
Really love this video and seeing what's possible. A bit of a bug bear is the clicking noise throughout the video. It's not sound feedback but almost like a person is making a noise on set. Or is it the modelling head that is making the noise? It was putting me off so I had to put my headphones aside and listen from a distance. My first time watching your videos so I don't know if its been addressed before. Thank you for this very informative video!
OMG I wish I knew a great hairdresser like you, I would have the biggest MAKEOVER 🤗

So one side , the thicker side is layered and the part side is angled? Do they meet if you pull everything straight up or is it disconnected? Thanks.
