    Awesome build brother!! I'm gluing a bass together as we speak. That pickup sounds great with that combination of wood

    Excellent work my guy. I'm currently teaching myself how to build my own bass. I'm on my second project, and if it turns out well enough I'll be using those pickups in my 3rd project.

      Thank you! If you don’t mind me asking, who is gonna be building that bass for you?

      @@BeardlyCustoms I'm not sure yet, I've been sailing the internet to look, good thing I found this channel, I think I'll have a more definite answer once I have gathered it up. I'm keeping my eye on your channel that's for sure!

    Hey Beardley! Im back here looking at this EMGs and I have a probably dumb question- with the scale being 32” and there being 29 frets - does that mean that each fret is essentially smaller and easier to fret?
    This has been something I just assumed and Im not sure If Ive asked you. No one seems to have enough experience with a neck with those dimensions so it’s not like its common knowledge.

    If I ever have a handful of thousands of dollars I will be knockin on yo door for a bass just like this. Beautiful.

    But also Les could make the bass look tiny because he’s 6 foot plus and has big hands. 🤷🏼‍♂️

      Hello! Yeah, each fret is a bit smaller in width that a typical 34” scale. I wouldn’t say it makes it easier, but it does have a slightly different feel to it.
      And yea, Les being as tall as he is makes his basses look tiny.

    That nut looks insanely small, what's the width on that thing? Must hella fun to play on

      It’s 1 1/2”, same as a Jazz Bass. It is a blast to play.

    Does that have a locking bridge so the tremola doesn't take the strings outta tune?

    • @BeardlyCustoms
      @BeardlyCustoms  Před rokem +1

      Actually no, bass tremolos don’t have or need to be locking because the strings hold tune from simple vibrato or even dive bombs.

    It's just a plain old EMG-PA pickup with a paint job. Unfortunate that people are falling for this scam
