Hi from Australia. Runrig is a truly phenomenal band and social phenomenon. Its longevity is both amazing and justified. Donny and Bruce brought beautiful soaring voices to some of the most eloquent songwriting. The songs are just wonderful. I watched a video of them performing in Frankfurt and the Germans knew the words to Loch Lomond !! I would have loved to have seen them live. What a throughly fantastic and memorable band.
Was there with my daughter in Copenhagen for their final concert on the continent. Loved it, but also my daughter did, she was brought up with it! This is the old time favourite of all bands. Shame they stopped, but fully understandable, after 45 years!!!

I think it‘s quite possible that Blair Douglas (who had left the band „ages“ ago, and MP Pete Wishart, either had other obligations, or did not want to appear and keep the event to the band as it stood the last 17 years.
remember playing this in the old FBI pub in Kyle,now a shop😢 waiting for the ferry to come in and take us to Skye before the bridge was built.great times and an outstanding band

They are in Denmark at the moment to a finale Farwell concert. There is an interview with them in Fredericia here on CZcams as I remember from Monday
