Melling is a great cueist, lovely smooth stroke, and Tyler what a fantastic player.
Melling is just a natural sharp shooter, everything looks effortless.
Love watching this level of table control because this is what we local bar players aspire too. That was some great play by both Chris and Tyler, a very enjoyable match to watch and learn from...thanks.
Great play from both. Chris deserved it, brilliant to watch on any table.
Incredible standard from both. It's a real joy to watch pool at this level. Tylers clearance in the 2nd frame was absolute filth!.
The break really crushed Tyler. He’s unbelievable with cue ball position.
Absolutely brilliant Chris. Well played pal. 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
“Mr.TTT” Tyler the technician. Rack two was just a crazy run out by him
Well done Chris. Great final two players 👏👏
Ultimate Pool USA Great comp! Congrats Chris Melling.
Congratulations Chris Melling, great comeback, great guy, well deserved.
This is the comment that will not spoil the Winner for you
Great set!
Great game...well done..a pleasure to watch 😊
Chris is a brilliant player and a complete Gent ..
Gotta admire Mellings versatility. This time last week he was playing English 8 ball and winning against top players.
He was a former professional snooker player as well and has made several maximum breaks
Last week he got to the last 16 in the World 9 Ball championship. Lost 11-9 to Fedor Gorst, who went on to win it.
@@domurtag1978 Yep, a proper all rounder
@@ashleybarker937 Yeah i saw that, talented man with a cue!
Well done chris from the Keighley boys
Tyler touch slow break would make a huge difference. 2 scratches is game over with a caliber of Chris
Melling is having a great year
Great win from the GOAT
Great match. Breaking was the winning factor here!
7:06 Ok rack 2 was a sick out. I would have lost a lot of money on that!
Well done chris .
Hope they both meet up again in the Mosconi in December.
Congratulations to Chris Melling the Great
All about the breaks, Tyler got lucky that Billy started breaking bad to make it to the finals but then the break turned on him in this match. The break is the most important shot.
Lovely pool. How much did Melling get?
go chris
How did I just see this?
Chris competes in high level UK 8 ball which is a much harder game. Smaller balls and tighter pockets. I'm sure this feels like childs play to him.
Champ 🏆
A professional tournament with these size pockets is a joke. You can nearly pocket two balls side by side in the same pocket, for this level of players has made the break and run to easy and made the game more about the break rather than testing the players precision and accuracy with the cue ball.
Spot on said exactly the same, can’t believe only you/me have said anything it’s unbelievable how you can actually miss.I would give these pros a good game with these pockets like buckets.
that's how to cue
A monster magician. His touch stroke is unmatched. An 8 ball clinic
This win for Chris should bring up the snooker players v pool players debate again.
I won't debate it but I will say this, a top 50 snooker player can win a pool world championship but a top 10 pool player cannot possibly ever win the world snooker championship !
@@yoiink At the very least, a decent snooker player can be competitive at pool and Chris is a former snooker professional who during his career in that sphere has a win over future snooker world champion Luca Brecel.
He also has a win over Steve Davis at 9-ball 2001 WPA World Nine-ball Championship but would have been unlikely to beat him at snooker when being able to compare their peak years.
While Chris has been a snooker professional in the past, he originally came from a pool background, he won the English 8 ball world championship twice before he became a snooker professional, and I think he never made the top 75 in the snooker rankings. So its not really true to say he is a snooker player winning pool tournaments - he was always better at pool.
Hasn’t played snooker in how many years?
@@chrislaw4189 while I understand what you're saying, a top snooker player namely Selby has already won a world pool championship !
Is this a 7 or 9 ft table?
When did Tyler go back to Wood shaft? Didn't he always play with predator revo
This is a 7’ foot table?
Now that you've got a foot in, see if you can get us Americans playing English pool. That's the only way I'll ever get to try it out.
Is this 8ft table?
7 foot
What is the penalty for not making a genuine attempt?
loss of frame
@@GGGenom Such a bad rule.
@@davidellis7238 Yeah I've never even heard of that before. In this format, with players at this level, it only gets interesting when someone *doesn't* run the table, and suddenly tactical play is against the rules?
@@GGGenom Agreed. That's when 8 ball becomes warfare. This rule set wasn't created for this type of table.
Too many scratches by Tyler, he would have won if he didn’t scratch so much
Don't care what talent or skills some have. Lost all respect for Meiling after Yapp match. Nicest kid and gentlemen of the game proven after his Shane/shot clock match. There was no need for him to cry after the match or treat Yapp like that. Don't expect everyone to shoot fast or flashy like him. Respect a man for how he is off the table not his talent
Thr right player won.
These pockets are an absolute joke,I’ve never seen pockets as big as these it’s basically impossible to miss🤷🏻♂️They are like buckets and some, unbelievable yet we have to listen to the commentary saying unbelievable this and that.Nonsense pockets make this a joke, melling can’t believe his luck after playing snooker or on English size pockets which are about half this or smaller.
“Mr.TTT” Tyler the technician. Rack two was just a crazy run out by him
