    Get the facts right. The aluminium chassis is glued together, The front and rear glasfibre clamps are bolted to the chassis. Why not tell that the car has a supercharger?. And last i think everybody would like to hear that engine on full attack, and not that silly driving at idle speed.

    The one chance to say he swapped a K-series for a K-series... :( Sweet car, fancy the original K series though in the exige trim.

    They say that the first are the best and in this case is still a great track weapon, with that engine and weight clearly remember the same formula as an Ariel Atom. Even the noise it's similar with that typical sound of the supercharger sucking air.

    VVA came 10 years after the elise, which is what this Exige S1 is, fundamentally.

    Nothing worse than journalist posing to be a car guy telling you a bolted on front clam is actually bonded on . Very amusing .

    I nearly bought one when I was 25…. I turned it down for 111R…. In 2011. Whilst I loved my Elise I both made the wrong decision from a drivers perspective and financial (could of got a non air con car for 18k)

    It's a shame that he doesn't know much about this car. Wonder if all his other vids are also full of wrong infos. Interesting is, that this modified car has an actual luggage compartment and the original Exige did not. And waring the harnes the was he ist wearing it is very dangerous.

    If there is a car brand that you need to be sure you are accurate 100% about it’s lotus, the owners and enthusiasts know every detail about the car, that’s the point of having one. Don’t blag it you’ll look a total moron. A fair chunk of claptrap in here.

    1:30 "The bodywork is fibreglass and is bonded to an aluminium chassis using adhesives, instead of the traditional welding..." WTF??? Stop right there & please show me some evidence, any evidence, even a morsel, a scrap, showing fibreglass being welded to aluminium... that I'd LOVE to see....

    • @AndyRRR0791
      @AndyRRR0791 Před 3 lety +3

      Amusingly, it's not even bonded. It's bolted on!

    • @Farlig69
      @Farlig69 Před 3 lety +2

      @@AndyRRR0791 Yep, he cocked up royally on that one - the ally chassis is bonded together instead of being welded so for a car channel that's an unforgivable error...

    • @Dtt4
      @Dtt4 Před 3 lety

      No, only the chassis is bonded together with adhesive. I dont know about the fiber glass clamshells.

      Is English not your first language? It was obviously not meant to imply that there was "traditional welding" between aluminum and GRP! Just that welding anything to the aluminum monocoque would weaken it, so bonding a dissimilar matetial would avoid that. Not defending this video and its factual inaccuracies, your interpretation is just dense.
