It worked you saved my day, for more info the colour changing time can be adjusted by simply increase the capacitance as per need
Good, thank you for sharing
Well done! You sucked me in with the words Superb effect. I want my 5 minutes back.
@Frank Heuvelman banks don't have minutes.
@@fourbypete yes they have
@@elviejodann6544 Not at any bank I've been to. They take plenty but don't give any.
To indians superb means nothing
@@alecto1550 how and why can you explain?!
Nice idea 💡!
From malaysia...you channel is 👍
Very good idea!! Works perfectly!!
you really are a very useful video great i love you Tech saw
Good job
Well done brother. ....
Very well done! So simple, I will have to make it just to play with :-D
Thanks bro
Hadir bosku 🙏🏻😄🙏🏻
Superb
Good. Thanks
Cool! I'm definitely going to give this a try!
Useful. Thanks !
LOVED the video cind a got it, but way to geeky for me...I need a sleepy now T UP
Me too bro! I just threw the old pig skin around a few times to wake myself up!
Thanks, this was helpful. Using that type of controller for my PC, because standart controller doesn't remember last settings for led strip, because of the molex connector, when PC is off, it shuts down all power.
Nice project 👍
Knowledgeable video
Pas mal !!!
Nice
Very nice
Nice work keep going
Very good
Very successful
Whaat no way :o
incrivel!
Nice teknologi
Top!!!
Muito bom!!!
Very good!!!
Good Work!
Well, intresting. But I would change the title from "superb effect" to "cheap fade effect". Speed in color change depends on value of resistors and capacitors.
Well I don't know that much but i want to slow down the speed you help me?
@@monarch6t9 Bigger value caps.
Neat. But - how many will it drive? You have a count length to consider right? The data line relies on the timing between your pulse signal. Just wondering.

nice idea
Can we use p55
Wow! That's AWESOME!
Best effects - use 3 x sepparate triangle wave oscillators with little different freqencies...
how about posting that circuit?
One of my video is a circuit, I use TL074 op amp...
Those are voltage regulators, you could do one better and add a dial switch to lower the or increase the brightness as well
Awesome
Great wow
I can control my RGB strips using my arduino. I'm trying to make a PIR controlled lighting system that lights up when I go to different parts of my room (ie sit down at desk and light turns on by detecting my presence).
I was just thinking about doing that with my stereo system
Homeassistant would be helpful to do something like that.
How did this not blow up?!
AMIGO MUY BUENO TU VIDEO ME GUSTO MUCHO ESE PROYECTO YO LO PUEDO EMSAMBLAR CON DIODOS LEDS RGB COMUNES 5mm
Did you try it did it work ??
cool
Nice. But color change is too slow. And how many led U can connect.?
Nice job brother
Can we use 3v RGB led instead of 12v RGB strip .
I try it.. its working .. 😃😃😃
👍🏻How to make a alarm for a bicycle 🤔
Hi,
Is it possible add a microphone to add reactive sound? How many leds in the strip could have?
Thanks
No.
The datasheet says do not use the metal tab for conducting..... clearly you have read none of it
it might be an abomination in the eyes of the omnisiah, but it works!
@@Ucceah It will work but if you want to do something properly JUST DO IT THE CORRECT WAY.. not to mock anybody but this in the long run will be damaging for the fet. How do I know? I tested if I can sink current into the tab and how much and how long. If one really wants to use a big fat metal surface why not to just buy a TO3 package? And I hope nobody will ever leave this circuit in the long run.
@@adam207321 NO ONE GIVES A SHIT !
@@davidhaney1394 People should give a shit though.
@@davidhaney1394 I give a shit. Thanks for pointing this out Adam!
Start the video off with the working product and then proceed to build.

Big tip bro, good work! Don't stop what you're doing!
i mean do we need 1 transister per light?
Cool
hi, you can make LED meteor rain light form LEDstrip ?. thx
Ola onde soldo o vermelho e preto
Can we use as strobe led with different color with in gap of 1 seconds
Mantap Bos .
Mampir ke bengkel gw jg yaa
Can i used and IRF 630 Instead?
Hi, What's the name or reference of your soldering station ?
Friend, if I use the IRFZ44 only on a non rgb led of a fixed color it will work like pulse type a beating heart right?
Wow! And it works with no power supply. :) You'd think that after taking all that time to show how all the parts are soldered together he'd actually show it getting attached to a battery.
I think he showed this way of soldering so we don't need a bread board
12v.
Hey man i have opel corsa need speed unit 0-50 green 50-120 red please help me
Thank you, my brother, for your great effort. Is it possible for me to control the color speed in the RGB circuit, and what is the element that replaces it? All thanks and appreciation to you.
I think power circuits should not be driven linear over mosfets. The circuit will blow up the fet's when you use more than 2m led stripes
супер
Hello, which components i have to use for 100 meter RGB LED strip for example?? Thank you for video !
But I can do this and more with the inexpensive controller that came with my RGB LED strip ,,
or you buy a serial idividual addressable rgb strip from alibaba and be done with it !
Esse sistema suportaria quantos metros dessa fita ???
It depends on the led strip
Can I use same circuit with 5v rgb?
Pra que mosfets tao grandes?
Can it control the whole reel of led strips which is 1,2,3,4 or 5 metre long
It depends on MOSFET Drain Current
@@arnislacis9064 Depends on the LEDs. The Z44 is rated at 49 Amps.
Yes.

Wow, some seriously AWFUL soldering. :(
When its used in a project the soldering job is gonna be hiden 100% why would u even care about it
@@bassfear_9952 no one will know but you, horrible
This soldering makes me puke
I used 100 k resistors works the same😎
Change the resistor and/or capacitor value to change the speed of the color change
Bat is that you ?
Can i use 1uf capacitor instead of 2.2uf
A circuit diagram and description of the circuit would be nice.
3:53 you will find the diagram
Basically all it does is charge up the capacitor, and the speed of charging is dependant on the size of resistor. Once the capacitor is charged to a certain voltage it switches on the fet which turns on the led and starts charging the next capacitor, which charges and switches on the next fet, lighting the next led and so on
Rick Hunt is going to explain the circuit! (or not)
if ı use
Higher capacity capacitor, is the color transition slower?
Yes, also if you increase the resistors values ;)
@@tristanginod9238 is there a formula? I am guessing you have no idea
@@kennmossman8701 its a RC circuit, the voltage can be calculated by the Formula Ucap(t) = U x (1-exp(-t/RC))
So if you increase R you will slow down the charging time of the capacitor
I'm a french ingeneering student so I know this type of formula which comes from differential equation.
@@tristanginod9238 Actually I do know. I really doubt the author does as he could give a rather half-witted reply. By 'exp' you mean to the power of 'e'. Correct? It is common to express it as e^^k where k a multiple of the time constant It is complicated here by the threshold Gate voltage.which varies by Mosfet and within a Mosfet device family
@@kennmossman8701 in this appliance I think the gate current is too low and capacitor so big (10^-3F order) that this current can be ignore.
Yes I know the exp(x) function is e^x, but it depends of the literature, teacher...
Also I don't know if its the case in others countries, but in France, the RC time contant is annoted with the "tau" greek letter...
Y la fuente de corriente ???? Como la alimentas ??
perfect
hi
@@ranveersingh7744 hi friend
Is there a way to create something like this for an ESC (electronic speed controller) for RC use, so when throttle (voltage) is applied green LEDs light up, and as throttle (voltage) is decreased they turn yellow then red to simulate brake lights?
Take some kind of ATTTINY and program it. PWM width you should know, how it works. Program between 1.75 to 2ms for green, 1.25 and 1.75ms for yellow, and 1 to 1.25ms for red, sensing of PWM take from yellow wire of ESC. :}
@@sebo0855 ATtiny is small and light, I use ATtiny 85 for voltage control of LiPo.
With "PWM" you don´t mean the PWM output of the ATtiny ?
But the output of the RC receiver ( throttle channel ) ?
That is connected to an digital input of the ATtiny and interpreted with "Pulse In" by the Arduino IDE ?
( 1 ms = min, 2 ms= max, or inverted ? )
ATtiny is about 1 € and works fine, Arduino Nano is about 2 € and it´s programming is easier because it´s programmed via USB. But it´s bigger an heavier.
Disadvantage of both: You have to be common with ARDUINO and Arduino IDE.
Advantage: Arduino can be used for a lot of electronic taskes, it´s cheap and simple.
how much volt or ampere does it need to work properly
since the led strip is most likely 12v, id say 12v
I'm using x3 IRLZ34N mosfets , and although the RGB leds light up, they don't fade. I've put this together on a breadboard using your schematic. Do you know what could be wrong. Thanks
I 've put IRFZ44, but capacitor 1mkf. Led strip just fast flashes (looks like white color)
If I conect this circuito to a full strip it can be working as yours?
Can I use 1.5m resistance
Its need cooler ?
can i use irf740
I think this can overheat with longer strips. Where are schematics? And what is MEGAfarad capacitor???
Wow, maybe he invented it 😂😂
