Cog Hill Farm & Homestead
When I had my daughter, she could not take formula and could not take regular milk or soy milk. we thought she was going to starve until we tried goats milk, she loved it and didn't have the allergic reactions she had with the other milk products. We were so happy when she started gaining weight.
That happened with some friends of ours too
My nephew used goats milk and it smelled soooo bad coming out.
Back in 1968-69 I was milking 3 nannies..My neighbor had a baby that had the same problem. My nannies fed her son. Last year my new puppy got the benefits from goat milk & still gets it a couple times a week.
Goat milk is amazing..
I was allergic to cows milk when i was weaned from breast milk.. My mother milked a goat and made me the milk, butter and icecream out of the milk.
I weighed 4 lbs and was lactose intolerant too. My mom couldn’t nurse & I couldn’t keep anything else down but goats milk. Saved my life, I’m sure back in ‘59.

I felt bad when you fell Jason but I'm sorry, I laughed so hard I almost fell of my couch! That was so funny seeing Capri take off dragging you behind her. 😂🤣🥰

I'm so glad to see how carefully you look after the safety of Arlo and all the other animals.
Capri gave you a run for your money. Looks like Joe was happy. Hope the two hook up and you have new babies and can begin the milking so you can do whatever you want with the milk. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.

Anyone here from the UK that remembers the 80s tv show Benny hill? I don't know but when Capri was running down with Jason holding on all I could think of was the theme tune to Benny hill 😂 fingers crossed Capri you have some babies

Capri was ready to go join Big Joe! 😂😂 She figured out where she was heading and dragged you with her! 😂 Hopefully the honeymoon went well and babies will be on the way!🥰
Mildred was asking Capri if she was ok over there with Mr Stinky Joe. 😂😂 It's funny how all the animals get curious about changes. The audience of onlookers was funny.

Mildred was so funny! It's like she was saying, "Hey, girl! Are you sure you're okay with that yucky boy?" Ah, Mildred. When you grow up you'll be mooing a different tune. LOL Best wishes from northern Illinois USA.
It wouldn't occur to me to question Jason's reasoning. The safety, health and well-being of Brooke, MaryCarl and all the farm babies are always paramount in Jason's heart and mind. Every decision is based on past experiences, research and of course love and dedication. Even if Arlo wasn't so energetic the bell is important. I was a bit concerned about how Jason would survive relocating Capri. A former co-workers' husband sprained a wrist one year, the next year his elbow joint was separated. It was their first time having goats so they were not aware of many things that are second nature to Jason and Brooke. Well done Jason!
My goodness the turkeys and Scott's colors are sure looking beautiful. Hopefully you will have baby goats come May. God's blessings on the Cog Hill 40 from Proctor Minnesota!

Have you thought about putting dog collars on the goats for just this purpose and then put a leash on her? Al Lumnah has leather collars on his goats and were a great help in getting his goats from old property to new property, from crates on the truck to the new pen!

That's the thing people forget about Terriers. They are herding dogs. So its perfectly normal for Arlo to run with the herd of chickens.

I just adore Arlo. He just loves working on the farm and being a big helper. He reminds me of my sweet boy, Levi. I am also dealing with goats in heat/rut and it’s always such an adventure! It’s Definitely interesting to watch, especially if you’ve never seen it before…lol. We just got our milk station built so I am very excited for fresh milk next spring! I hope you guys have a beautiful week with lots of production on the farm and joy in the home!!! God bless you!

Good luck this kidding season! We are expecting our kids starting in February! Our vet has a portable ultrasound machine but the goats should be about 3 months along. So fun😊

Good morning Y'all. Pamela I had a similar incident with my daughter. She's a strawberry/blonde. Really fair skin, but she ended up with colic. We tried everything. Home remedies medication nothing worked. She was 3 months old when we came home for Christmas. When her episode started my MOM went to the Christmas tree and pulled of a candy cane opened up and gave it to my Dad, who was holding her. Well after just a few minutes of the peppermint her body started responding...you know 😂. Then my Mom fixed her a bottle of goats milk. She had goats at the time. My daughter drank it down so well, as she hated bottles. I must say that it did not cure her colic. HOWEVER those hours weren't near as bad . She still has milk sensitivity to this day.
Jason and Brooke your videos are so heart warming. Sometimes I get lost in them and think I'm there with Y'all. I love the interaction and communication you have with your fur and feather kids. Brooke the video you put out the other day with Mary Carl was so good. That is one special little lady you have there. Her new pigeons are stunning. I think the Archangels are beautiful. Her knowledge is amazing. How she tends to their every need. It's her passion.
Jason if I EVER COULD have a garden you'll be the one I'd call for sure!!!! Brooke I must tell you that you share your name with 2 of my family members. My Aunt, and my granddaughter. 💯💕
