I’m a 40 year old autistic man... about 15 years ago I was an an abusive marriage. It didn’t start that way though. I cried and cried wondering what was wrong with me.. I have a daughter with her. She used her as a pawn in the divorce.. I cried harder.. At 42 yrs. I thought I'd always be an old maid. Many boyfriends over the years, but it just didn't work out for me. I thought there must be something wrong with me and I'd never be a wife. Left San Diego, CA and moved to Florida. Right before I left I heard God's voice saying "you're going to meet your husband in Florida". It was so clear I actually sat down on my bed stunned!! I thought yeah, right! 10 days after I moved God brought me the man of my dreams. A good Christian man. We married 2 months later. God blessed me, and we've been married 16 years this Sunday. You can never pray too much. And God's timing is always perfect, even though we become weary, thinking He either isn't listening or He's not answering. But He's doing both, just in His time. You say you are not a religious man. I don't believe you need to be a religious fanatic for God to hear you. However, He does long for a personal relationship with us, to take time out of our day to spend with Him and Him only. He wants us to read His word daily. The Bible is known as God's love letters to us. I think that's a beautiful analogy. And, He likes it when we have fellowship with other believers, because its strengthens all of us walking with Him. We learn from one another. And the King James Bible is the very hardest for me to understand. I can only speak from my own experience, but getting a NLT, (New Living Translation) that I was finally able to dig deep into God's Word, and gave me a much better understanding. I began to really thirst to learn more. So maybe, God wants you to develop and deepen a relationship with Him, before He sends the soul mate you're praying for. That will lead you to a good Christian woman, and if you make God the top, front and center of your marriage, its much more likely to work out. God will see to it. But He does desire that relationship with us before anything else. Just some food for thought. May God bless you and answer all your prayers, and one day soon, bring you the love of your life.

Six years I spent single after the end of an abusive relationship with my fiancée. Six years of wondering what I’d done wrong, wondering if I could ever love again, wondering if there was anyone else out there. Six years, some spent in therapy, most spent in a church pew looking at the couples around me getting engaged, married, celebrated as I sat in silence and wondered what was wrong with me. Wondering if I was worth anything, and if anyone would ever notice me missing if I vanished one day. The depression took such a strong hold. But God brought me out of it, and after six long years, I’m happy to say that my prayers have been answered. And it was worth everything. SHE was worth everything. Most think of a spouse when they hear this song. It makes me think of my children. I had a son at 17. I didn't know it then but he saved me, truly. After multiple pregnancy losses I had a daughter (almost died following child birth) with my husband. We had another pregnancy loss and a week later he deployed. I was devastated. We are now in the process of seeing a fertility specialist in hopes of having a successful and healthy pregnancy.
I keep imagining looking down at their little face, who they will be, and the healing my heart will feel.
For this child I have prayed.

I was born in 1992. Wrapped my mind around the idea of praying in 1996. My fiance was born in 2000. I literally prayed for him before he was conceived. Met him in 2021 after a lot of very bad experiences. We're getting married in November 2023 and I want this to be our first dance song. I will pray for him for the rest of our days together. Everything I went through led me to where we are now, but I can't believe I ever settled for anything less. He was a million percent worth the wait.

I had been praying and waiting, but when I wasn't thinking about being in a relationship that was when God brought us together and we've rarely been apart since then. This song applies to me. Several years before I met my wife, I literally prayed for her. I asked GOD for the specific characteristics in her, including her height. The only thing I didn’t specify was her hair color. Who knows…? Maybe if I had asked for anything different than what her hair color is now, maybe she wouldn’t have shown up.
