For missing pieces, you can actually request the missing pieces from Lego themselves when you're missing one. I did it for an advent calendar, since they accidentally gave me two of the same gift, and it arrived a few days after I placed the order. It's completely free to replace a missing part, too.

I did this years ago with a Polly beg GWP from LEGO. It was a very simple set, but made the build a bit more challenging. I still have the built set somewhere still sealed in the bag.

The three in one sets aren't meant to be built all at once. Some pieces overlap between the builds, which is why it seems like pieces are missing. 🙃
