Day of the African 2022

World Vision Zimbabwe in partnership with primary and secondary schools, the government, local communities and like-minded organisations in its various Area Programmes across the nation hostedtheDay of the African Child commemorations. Observed on the 16thof June annually, the Day of the African child allows us to celebrate the African children, raise awareness on children’s rights and implore communities to support the elimination of Harmful practices affecting children. This year’s celebrations were conducted through Radio shows, Road shows, Community Dialogues, Marches and gatherings where children shared their speeches, poems, dramas and dances. Stakeholders also pledged their support to eliminate harmful practices affecting children. We thank our partners and sponsors for making such memories special
