After I got mine done I was blown away. The videos I watched were great. In person though, its unbelievable. Power & mileage both WAY up. The sound is worth the price alone, MY GOD they sound good.
After driving this one I’m considering buying one for the channel and building it to be able to handle 1000hp because this thing is stupid fast.

Yeah my 15 6.7 powerstroke has a a drone at 70mph too but it doesn’t bother me. I love it. Great video. That thing sounds amazing.

Just did my 6.7 Cummins delete a few weeks ago and did over 900 mile trip with the efi live in tune 3 and got 26.3 average mpg couldn’t be happier going with The Diesel Dudes kits and your help with the Install

It's a shame though because since they won't create better quality parts to reduce emissions we have to compromise with exhaust since someone doesn't find it necessary to actually reduce emissions without exploiting someone else to look like the hero i do hope.speed of air actually is doing something with their piston design because if so then take that lefties

Had an 09 dmax efi live. I found it did the best mileage in hot tune. Driving it easy
Just sold it at 377,000km. No issues
Yup hot tunes typically have the best cruising milage, just gotta have enough self discipline to not bag drive it off the light all the time.
Heard mixed things about gdp. Heard recently they got bought out and the tuning is much better than previously. This video shows the truck running really good with their tuning for sure.
GDP is a solid company. They are now known as Dieselr. they recently got a dyno and have been really dialling in their tuning.

Do they offer the trans tune as well or do you have to get that elsewhere? I hear just tuning the trans on a stock truck makes a huge difference. With engine and trans together I hear it’s amazing!!!

I wonder if they will come out with a delete kit for the 3.0 inline 6? My dad just got one and I got over 30 mpg driving around 70-75. The LZ0 should sound good being an inline 6 like a mini Cummins and get better mileage.

These trucks are amazing. I've got roughly 75k miles on my tuned and deleted '19 L5P with zero issues. I've got transmission tuning too which makes a big difference in how it shifts and holds gears but you're absolutely right when it comes to driving the truck "respectfully." I've left my truck in the sport tune the whole time and I think the transmission thanks me for that. No issues towing heavy weight in the mountains either - EGTs are manageable. That being said I have a '24 powerstroke on order and will be looking to modifying that immediately haha.
Won't happen yet Ford yet again switched the computer and word is they added another piece to the emissions system looks like something to go.with the d.o.c. so yeah

I have a 2014 6.7 cummins I bought new and deleted first week. Over 200,000 miles 335,000 km on it now no problems. Does 25-28 mpg US on the highway all the time. Never smokes. When running correctly these modern trucks dont hardly pollute. DEF Jugs would have poluted lots if i ran it.

Trans tuning is a must on the 10l1000 without it all the ecm does is de rate to save the trans. The 10l1000 is bad enough stock as it is I know because I own one

What is the tire set up ?
I noticed on the 19-21 Ram video you did 5 or 6 months ago it seemed liked it smoked a lot. Were you keeping it in the highest tune and babying it? Was wanting to delete but didnt want a tune that smoked a lot
They just smoke when you rev them at an idle I find. While driving they don’t smoke. Also a lot of factors can make a truck smoke like a dirty air filter can cause it to smoke. Regardless, If you order the kit and find your truck is smoking you can always email them and they will send you new tunes to lower fuel dosage.

The exhaust is ok - not too loud or obnoxious. Nothing better than a deleted truck. Maybe dyno the truck and make a video of that. 👍
Oh I will! Everything is getting dynoed once it’s set up. Should be rolling in about a month.
I’ve never seen or heard of an L5P blowing head gaskets. I also see people pushing 1000 horse on the stock head bolts with the L5P no problem I’d be more concerned about melting or cracking a piston before I’d worry about head gaskets.
All I know is I’ve driven a lot of trucks and for a stock deleted truck that one was the fastest by far
I definitely learned my lesson man, i deleted mine at 35k miles ripped it around in tune 5 on my 24s and 33s and beat it, blew my trans at 38k miles and it came straight out of pocket, now i baby it on the 40s lol
Haha I’m getting mixed reviews. Some guys are saying they beat the hell out of their trucks and they are fine, then some guys like you are saying be cautious. I always error on the side of caution personally.
I have a ‘23 L5P and reading that almost made me sick. Can’t imagine that feeling when such an expensive warrantied truck breaks and is NOT covered.
@swaptrex well, when you delete parts and change the tune to make the engine do something, it wasn't designed to do. It's not the manufacturers fault. But, it would suck to spend the money doing this and not know how to drive it.
I wonder the long term relability for this especially with towing - Is there a reputable company/person that can tune both the Engine and Tranmission
The company that tuned this truck and tunes all trucks for the diesel dudes can also do trans tuning

I live in California. They have CHP smog stops everywhere. They have a mobile smog machine on an open ramp trailer that you pull up on and they inspect underneath and plug into your vehicle and inspect under the hood.

California sounds tenable, I live in Alberta, Canada, I've only seen one person pulled over for exhaust and it was because he had a coal role tune, on an L5P Dmax, a 5 inch straight pipe, a stack and he floors it in school zones, that's the only ticket they hand out for tunes and exhaust systems.
Seems like a great reason to not live in california.

L5p does not need head studs lots of people have made 1k on stock head bolts and I’ve towed 30000 lbs on mine in the 100 hp tune and egts stay in check very well

About to start ratcheting on my 19. I'm just doing the exhaust....for now. I don't have the tools or the confidence to tear into the engine atm. If I just unplug the EGR, doesn't that recirculate HOT exhaust into the engine without cooling it first? I'm assuming that would cause even more harm. If that's the case I may not even bother unless I can find a helper to get it all done at once. No since working on it twice.
No, with the ecm tuned to run emissions off the EGR valves should remain closed therefore not letting any exhaust recirculate back into the engine.

My. Buddy been thru 2 transmission on his 2023 dually gmc with like 35 knon it Apprently all the internal parts are Chinese bro they had to sorce them like that when covid happen. Fuckin garbage so now if u do these mods and void warrent like ur forsure gona go thru the tranny

I’m actually not sure what shops charge. I’d say at least 12 hours.
Changing the hot and cold pipes wouldn’t be considered deleting the truck correct? What’s the benefits if one was just to change those pipes first?
No benefit. And the piping has egr components built into it.
Banks hot and cold side intercooler pipes do increase airflow and wcfab or ppe exhaust manifolds and up pipes decrease egts. All of this is emissions compliant.

Thank you. It is 6 tunes though, tune 0 is a 0hp emissions off tune. If it was stock the truck would go into limp mode.

While I absolutely agree that a deleted l5p is the way to go, it’s no longer worth the felony charges if you get caught.
National law now states that it’s a felony to delete a diesel truck regardless of local emissions laws.
Very sad that we no longer have choice with our own property but such is life.

I got the 2024 3500 LT was looking at theee kits too bro. So much work and money just to get the sound like woth the turbo coming thru the exhuast don’t I find like 10 k for these kits ? Does it totally void the hole warrenty on the truck , I almost go the at4 I xheapednoutnlast min they were 120,000 Canadian lol picked mine up for 98 kinda regret not getting the at4 those seats are so nice plus I like how the climate control is angled abit rather than flat aginst the console

Sounds great, got the full 5 inch with muffler, still real loud but it does kill the drone you get straight piped. Also hot the wherli fab y bridge and all their plumbing(another 3700 bucks) .
Sounds great. Lights up the 37's on command. And smokes rams and ford's all day with 0 effort.

Living in PA is terrible. Can't do anything fun to my L5P. I've got the legal delete from evo and that's alright but nothing like this. Also you do not have to worry about head studs with the L5ps bud. Just worry about the tranny. Stock can only hold 700hp if you up the line psi with a fooler plug.

Yeah that’s pretty normal after doing a job like this. I had the coolant drained, so I topped it up just before making this video, but air gets trapped inside. You have to drive the truck and get it hot to get the air out of it. I topped it up when I got back to the shop and it’s been good since.

Why are the diesel dudes advertising on fb with somebody's truck they didn't tune? They literally stole somebody's video ofva badass cummins doing a burnout and put it on the fb ad. Not right man, people are calling them out for it. That's a great way to get a bad reputation really fast. Just saying. Love your channel though.
I don’t know who does their marketing but I can say that their tunes are solid and come from reputable companies (like GDP and Dieselr) and the parts are good too. They also have the best customer support team compared to all the competing “delete” websites out there. The diesel dudes don’t actually tune anything themselves, they are just a dealer for other tuning companies.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. Go price out everything the diesel dudes kit comes with and the price is almost the same. Additionally, the diesel dudes uses GDP tuning which I’d say it much better then elites tuning.
