Top man Gab. Can't fault his loyalty to the club. Rare thing these days. Interesting insights to what went on with various managers behind closed doors. Let's hope we stay up, our new owners turn their phones off this summer and we can build a side around Super Jack to rival Martin's O'Neill's of the 2000s. UTV.

Great and Honest Interview, shame really as all that partying and the depression he went through caught up with him, had had the mentality on a Harry Kane/James Milner and looked after himself like he did when he built up physically he could have played for another 3 years at a good level. Cant take it away from him though, Villa's leading premier league scorer and a good local lad.

Good interview, but I would have really liked to have heard more about the relegation season and what happened when Remi Garde was in charge and when Lerner decided to turn his back on us. If you do get Gabby back, I think Villa fans deserve to know what really happened in the background of that season. As fans we went through hell, watching a squad who didn't give a crap about going down and leaving the club to ruin. Cheers for the memories Gabby.

When they get back to training, I reckon Tyrone should walk up to JT and just custard pie him straight in the face! Then, we'll finish the season with another 10 game unbeaten run! 😆

I agree with gabby on the subject of Petrov and giving jobs to ex players. I think ex players should be given a job as a coach or u18s coach or something. They could teach players a thing or two. And I think Villa were a selling club buy I'm hoping the owners back up what they say and keep our key players and build rather than sell

    • @gareth6956

Can understand them not giving out jobs all over the show but surly if he wants to come back that bad they can find something for him to do, even if its only assisting current coaches or something, the mentality and winning attitude from ex players that love the club can't be underestimated, could breed that hunger into the next generation.

    • @martyaudio1089

I dunno if anyone watches HITC, but the Irish guy seems to think Gabby was just plain awful and not deserving of being a Villa legend. His argument being "13 years sponging wages from a single club is not enough to make you a club legend."
My argument: Agreed, but being the clubs all time record premier league goalscorer is the very criteria that does.
Gabby is a true Villa legend. No doubt.

I aint gonna lie, your a talented writer. I could see why you would opt to work with them. Your an absolute credit to their unworthy name. And since I’m being honest I’ll just be straight up with ya as some one that whole heartily supported Villa View it feels like we got shit on by the Birmingham Fail!
As some one that’s not able to get to games, having that outlet was a massive massive thing. I don’t think you can underestimate how important that was to Villa fans, to hear the opinions of those that were there is invaluable!
It feels like our channel got poached from underneath us. For a two bit click bait publication that can’t even be bothered to spell check itself.
I mean this with all sincerity, its a genuinely legitimate question: Is most of what gets published typed up on the writer’s phones? Because that’s honestly how it feels. I expect it of Melbergs Beard, but not of a local publication
BirminghamFail is genuinely bad for peoples mental health. That’s why I don’t read it any more. All I see is knife crime, killings and negativity. It might have stood for something respectful back in the day. But these days it’s a real discredit to the city it really is

Constructively, the website is atrocious in terms of layout, advertising and general content. It's an abomination in my opinion.
That's not in the hands of those who genuinely care about Villa. I would also imagine given the nature of the paper and the sister papers around the country that revenue generation via advertising via clicks is unfortunately a big influencer. Recycling of content to bring in the clicks and spurious headlines to sensationalise information doesn't work for many readers. Half the time it puts me off clicking, most of the rest of the time I regret clicking.
I see Claret and Blue as full of people who love the Villa but who have at least one hand tied behind their back in terms of what they can do. So, be fair to the journalists who work there because I believe they are capable and passionate of giving the fans the content that they deserve.
Villa View was exceptional. In its absence we have more content and some strong player access from Claret and Blue (just needs to be heavily filtered by each user) and deeper great content the rather good 1984, The Athletic. That's pretty good.
