Oh my gosh I can't even believe how intricate and complicated this is. I was in complete awe the entire time I watched. This was one of my dream costume projects, but seeing how difficult this was, I don't think I'll ever have the sewing skills or the patience to make something like it XD. It's so lovely. Absolutely perfect.
You can do it!!! It's possible, one step at a time! 👏
And the pattern is available, right, @Bella?
You can! Sewing seems so hard at first, but you get better each time. I’ve been sewing for a year and my work has done a 180 since my first project. I’m making the little mermaid live action inspired dress and followed her tutorial for the bodice. Idk if mine looks quite as good as hers, but it worked out. Ariel’s dress has the shirred middle part of the bodice like Cinderella’s. I’m obsessed with the shirred bodice I wanna make another just on its own when I’m done with my dress.
I spent more than half of this video with my jaw hanging out in awe of the precision and attention to every little detail!!!! I love it!
Aww! I do love the detail!
If you think this is impressive you need to watch her go through the process of making the ball gown.
@@elizabethrobbins8580 I've seen all of them, and I am even more impressed with the ballgown if that's even possible...😄
Yay!! I’ve been looking forward to this!! I know this was a HUGE labor of love to produce but I’d be so tempted to wear this every single day! Cooking, cleaning, running through open fields…
yes! ❤️ Honestly, I think it this is my favorite costume ever! I believe it will be the one that I will always wear when there's a costume event!
First of all, the dress looks beautiful on you. For a dress that was supposed to be a day/working dress it is very complicated and detailed. Lovely.💙💙💙
I thought the washed out colours, especially in the print, implied that it was something old. I thought the dress had been handed down or had been made new for her but the entire budget for the household's clothing was used up by the jewel tones silks Cate Blanchett wore, so she ended up keeping it for a long time and with a lot of washing it looked worn and faded after washing it so many times.
When smocking or gathering or pleating a lot of fabric we used to hide darts to make the pieces less bulky. It also helps to shape things and still keep the grain horizontal.
Congrats on finishing the dress!
The pleating on the skirt is very impressive. My hands are cramping up and my eyes hurt just from thinking about sewing that many pleats.
Thank you! Hehe, honestly, it wasn't as bad as I was picturing... yes it still took time, but better than I expected which is always a plus! :)
Your passion for Cinderella, your perfectionism and willingness to make a dress again and again until it's perfect, for all her various dresses reminds me of my own obsession with Sailor Moon. I admire you.
It came out so lovely! If you're still looking for fun ideas with the photoshoot, I think it would be fun to do the shoe loss that happens in the 1950 version! It would be a great chance to show off the shoes :)
I watched this with my sister and we were both amazed at the detail. You are the most talented seamstress I've ever seen.
You are totes megotesly right I concur with your statement
I’m so happy CZcams decided to pop this video in my feed..
My English isn’t good enough to express how amazed I am with the work that you did here..
I’m at the very beginning of my sewing learning journey, but watching this.. i mean wow this is where I want to get to…
Thank you so much for sharing this and inspire me so so much!
Im subscribing !!!
Looks absolutely beautiful. It makes your waist look so tiny! What a gorgeous handmade, hand stitched creation.
So many skills involved in the creation of this dress all came together beautifully. I know that this is a day/working garment, but that dress deserves to be seen at a wedding reception or gala. Adding pink heels, hair up, sparkling earrings or hair clip is all that would be needed.
Made in crystal organza with lace and lace and satin shoes with pearls and flowers it would look lovely on a bride butterflies scattered over the dress too 🩷🩷🩷🩷😔😲
You look so good! The dress looks like she just finished making it. A few years of sweeping the cinders will make it more worn in ;)
Haha, yes! Some ash and dirt and it will be perfect! :)
Another triumph! Your joy in creating this and wearing it are just palpable. Thanks for including us.
I caught the "Leap Year" refrence. "Throw it in the wash. It'll be grand." lol
Hehe, yay! I was hoping someone would! :)
The Leap Day reference 🤣🤣🤣 love that movie, it's so underrated. Oh and stunning dress!
I've been so excited for this dress, it looks so pretty on you. You did such an amazing job!
Yay! Sorry it took so long to complete! :) I'm so happy to finally have it finsihed!
@@BellaMaesDesigns it's fine, I sow myself so I completely understand how long it can take mean I work on miniature doll clothes and some outfits take me a couple days to complete so for bigger more complex stuff I understand. Hey it was 100% worth the wait! 💜
Hehe, it's amazing! I can't wait to hear your announcement of getting hired by Disney to make all of the most lovely dresses and gowns. An offer has to be coming soon.
You are so clever! I love your problem solving skills. Thank you for sharing your talent so generously with us.
Aw, thanks! I'm so glad I can share with you all!
My god, the smocking detail and the tiny sloping cartrige pleats are just so, so gorgeous.
I loved seeing it all come together. Such a wonderful recreation! Also, I caught the Leap Year line-my mom loves that movie and we quote it too haha
Hehe, yay! Glad you caught that; love that movie!
Been along for the whole journey and THRILLED with outcome! It's gorgeous and I learned so much watching along ❤
Thank you for being here the whole time!! 👏
WOW! That dress is so pretty on you. I love your attention to detail. I am that way too. Great Job!!!
Every time I watch your projects, it reminds me how much time/money goes into making clothes. Enjoyed your video.
It’s so pretty. The fabric would make the most beautyful summer dress.
It’s the hand sewing the skirt on by hand for me!!! OMG
Doesn't this seem too gorgeous and delicate for a work dress??? It came out BEAUTIFULLY!
You are so amazingly talented. Not to mention the patience it must take. I think this is my favorite dress you have made to date. Yes, even more than the ball gown. Great job!!
SAME! I love the ballgown with just how large and stunning it is! But this one, just elegant and oh so pretty!
This is incredible!! Thank you for taking us along this process. I've always loved this dress and this behind the scenes knowledge will come in such handy!
Beautiful job Miss Bella!
Okay for real. I. NEED. To make this! it looks so pretty! You’ve done such a very good job! And the hard process really did it’s job! I am definitely going to make this dress and wear it every single day for an eternity!
Yes, you should!! It's honestly my favorite costume to date!
Truly your sewing has been a labor of love. I have loved watching both the Breathtaking Blue gown come to life and the Work dress. Bravo to you, you are a very talented seamstress indeed.
What incredible workmanship. Well done on a beautiful dress
You live a dream life of sewing. You can figure out, construct and Wear these absolutely stunning creations. 😍
oh my goodness... I have been waiting for this for YEARS (since you first posted a breakdown of the dress on your blog years ago!!) and i cant believe we're finally here!! I have enjoyed watching you make these dresses SO much, i almost don't want this series to end! but i also cant believe how happy i am to see how much progress has been made and how talented you are!!
Awww, since the blog post?!?! Wow! Thanks for being here and so happy to have it completed! And don't worry, there's still a few more videos coming!
I find it encouraging to know that a professional can learn from mistakes in time to correct them. It seems obvious that this happens, but it's nice to see that truth not "covered up" for the sake of vanity. It's easier for me to understand now why my great-grandmother included a modesty stitch in her sampler; it kept her personality as beautiful as her work.
Wow! Absolutely stunning! You my dear are so talented! You look beautiful in it!
the amount of SKILL that went into this. Incredible. You are amazing
It looks amazing!!! 🥺💙 Following along with this process has been so rewarding I can’t believe it
Aw yay! Thanks for following along!
I'm so impressed by your work and your patience. The dress turned out so beautiful. Congratulations!
WOW what intricate handiwork with a stunning result!! Thank you for sharing!!
Incredible details! So beautiful. Thank you for taking us along on your sewing adventures.
Well done for completing the dress. What an accomplishment
Absolutely gorgeous…your attention to detail is awesome to watch Bella Mae…I never get tired of seeing you create such awesomeness…🥰🇦🇺
Beautiful! And totally wearable too. I hope you wear it for a posh garden party or something. I'm sure you'll wear it a lot more than the ball gown! You look really happy.
This dress and your expert execution of it is really mind boggling! I absolutely adore those delicate pleats and how it makes the waist so fantastic... I've never seen anything like it... You're a sewing engineer!!!!! I saw the apron video first and noticed those pleats but now that I see it without an apron you can't cover it up!!! I'm in awe of everything you did to make this gorgeous recreation. Soooo talented and you look like Cinderella to boot! Now I know what to do with that pleater I've never used and all thanks to you. I don't mean I'll make that dress .... But I'll figure something out. Thanks for the great inspiration!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I am in utter disbelief and awe at your expertise and dedication… I love watching and listening to all the technical terms and techniques that you use. What a masterpiece! It looks identical to the original! Well done!
So beautiful. Well worth the wait. Amazing job.
It’s so beautiful! All your hard work was worth it. I love that it’s so detailed and screen accurate.
This dress is so beautiful and incredibly flattering on you!!
this is - awesome!!! as a part-time seamstress I would totally lack the patience for all these details - i admire such craftswomenship!!
You did an amazing job! The final dress looks perfect! I'm so impressed with you going back and fixing the details that didn't quite work out the first time. It was totally worth it!
Well done Bella Mae lass, it is stunning. You truly are a talented dress maker.
58 years old and this made me tear up. You created a masterpiece. It is truly breathtaking and magical!
I love that you include the "and then I ripped it all out and had to completely re-do that part" moments, they can be so discouraging but they really are a part of most projects and it's really important to share them and that they can be overcome!
Amazing! The time and talent that went into this is truly incredible! It's gorgeous!
It looks fabulous! Great job!
Absolutely magnificent. Well worth any wait.
YAAAAAAY!!!!!!! I'm so happy you were able to finish it!!! It's gorgeous!!!
Oh my word. this is one of my favorite dresses from the movie! Congratulations it turned out beautiful!
Delightful project! Also, loved the Leap Year Reference. It's one of my favorites.
Love the waistline! Beautiful recreation!
this was my absolute favorite dress from the movie for some reason. I'm so happy you made a video on it!!!!
Absolutely stunning!
I love the little grey slip on shoe. So cute!
Aren't they?! And they're so comfortable!
Another absolutely beautiful piece, you do brilliant work!
You are one talented young lady!! This project reminded me of me making my wedding gown. I fell out of love with hand sewing after that! Looking forward to what you do next!
Wow...hats off....such a dedicated work...really happy to see you wear it... nothing much to say it's simply superb ...loved it a lot...I was just waiting....to see the outcome.❤️
Knowing how long it takes to get done (not even with all the crazy little details) makes me feel so much better about having WIP for so long 😅
Oh my goodness! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to see you make this dress ever since I found your blog doing a costume study of Ella’s work dress years ago! You did a marvellous jobs and how proud you must be of this masterpiece! 💙✨🎉👏 Bravo Bella!
Aww, thanks Alicia! ❤️ I didn't realize you saw the blog post so long ago! This has definitely been a dream project; so happy to finally have it completed!
Stunningly beautiful!! As always!! 🥰🥳❤️
wow!!! i absolutely love it! im so impressed its absolutely gorgeous and so well sewn! the colour also looks amazing on you! i love calling it either the kit dress (for when she meets him in the woods) or the dilly dilly dress (speaks for itself but mostly for the end scene where shes singing in it :)). the whole thing was so well done and the part where you took out all the pleats really wowed me at the precision, determination and quality you put into this! bravo!
The dress is so very pretty and you wear it so well.
This is such an incredible project and it's so lovely to see all your hard work pay off! Huge well done and thank you for sharing the journey with us
Honestly my dream dress. I’ve wanted it from the first moment I saw it. You did such a cool job remaking this!!
Such a beautiful dress!
It is so beautiful. I love it!!! It's simple but so complicated at the same time. I love how your screen printing came out. This has been one of my top favorite projects to watch. I would absolutely love to make this sometime way in the future. I might have to settle on a simpler version though. Ahh I just love it. Your attention to detail is amazing. Thank you for sharing. 💕
Unbelievable!!!!! I’ve never seen so much work done in just one dress. I’m shocked! Congratulations! It’s beautiful!
It looks so good!! the shape is so flattering and it spins the exact same way as the movie. Congrats on finishing it, you look so happy
this is one of my favorite movie costumes ever!! it came out soooo darling!
Yes, same!! The ballgown is amazing, but this one if just. so. pretty!
Very nice dress. And it's really fitting that a work dress can be machine washed and tumble dried :)
Yes, exactly! 👏
absolutely gorgeous!
I don’t really sew but I was mesmerized by your video. Too beautiful for a housework dress. I’m going to look at the shoes website now. Thank you so much I enjoyed the time spent watching you work.
Wow it looks so so beautiful, fits like a glove, washes well and you incredible in it. Well done.
I have been dreaming of making this dress for years! So excited to try out your pattern.

You are such a talented dressmaker! So much perfection and detail. Beautiful!!
You are a true artist! Beautiful work. ❤️
Just amazing, absolutely amazing
Oh, es sieht so zauberhaft aus! Wunderschön! 🌸🌸🌸
It is really beautifull, i just have a feeling it was suppose to be a tad bit darker. But it really looks like a dress you could just wear everyday, at any time, for any occasion. Very beautifull done.
what a beautiful dress ... when finished it looks so "simple" but is so complex ... it's such a wearable dress I do hope you use it in an everyday setting
That's what I was thinking! I love how simple and pretty it is...but it's not so simple! :)
Congratulations!
It looks lovely
