Gray Zone should pen an open thank you letter to the Tarkov developers.
People, or rather companies seriously underestimate the power of spite. I'm more than happy to be a part of this learning experience.
They should make a special mission where you have to save a whale and call it 'Rescue from Tarkov'.
Bohemia Interactive made an extraction shooter in 2019 called Vigor.
I got pretty much what I expected from GZW early access, I think the vision behind this game is great, the studio is trustworthy and I wanted to support Czech developers. Hope they can pull it off.
Tarkov not releasing to Steam in early access was super sus.
hot take: Hunt Showdown is still the only really good extraction shooter game on the market
So thats why the name of the game ringed a bell, it was made from the same creators of shadow gun and dead trigger. When i knew they sold the rights for such games i was astonished, but at least they are doing better now.
This is the perfect opportunity to get some market share. When SimCity floundered hard City Skylines was able to sweep in and become the main player in the city builder genre.
The "At least it doesn't cost 250 dollars" user review has an UNFATHOMABLE amount of awards on it.
Gray Zone almost sounds like Mag from the PS3 days.
Hunt Showdown is a great niche extraction shooter. Cowboy to Bolt Action era guns make for great gameplay, shots actually matter bc full auto isnt really a thing. Great setting, great vibe.
Remind me bob Morton in Robocop 1 " it's how it is in first division, you see an oppportuinity you rush into it "
Am I going crazy, wasn't the Division a triple A extraction shooter?
The core game right now is alot of fun, but because of the immense playercount the servers can barely keep up, EU-WEST in my case is rubberbanding hell, yet im at 20hrs ish and just occasionally playing, hoping the server doesnt catch on fire
Basically the market corrected. Good video
Tarkov has always been a very sketchy product made by very sketchy people so it's good to see someone a bit more above board provide a similar experience
It's early access and it's playable. Growing pains are to be expected while they figure out implementation so it's fine.
Gray zone is awesome. Having a blast with it. I understand and feel the performance issues, I caved and updated my 2070 because it needs the power. It feels next gen, even in this rough EA release. Really stoked to see where it is in a year.
It's very early still, needs a real beefy pc to play, but it has a future if they don't drop the ball
