before I got these down last year, while I was trying to work on them, I went to do one and gagged and instantly threw up all over my microphone.

It took me 4 months. Scream I you car room every where. Practice makes perfect if your dedicated. This dudes screams are insane for sure. I’m not that good but I have the BASE of it down.

I came over from your Megitsune (Babymetal) cover and even though I am not a fan of this style I still appreciate hearing music done well. This explanation and teaching of the tunnel throat vocals is awesome.
I had my doubts, but that was convincing. If Mitch doesn't make it in the metal industry, he could easily be a voice actor with that technique.

One thing though. In your explanation, when you say you put your tongue against the bottom teeth and make a slope. By slope, you mean point the tip of the tongue upwards while keeping the tongue against the teeth, or put like the middle of your tongue upwards?
This video taught me how to do this kind of vocal years ago and I still use it to this day to do some Mike Patton esque sounds.

So I was playing around and discovered if you do voice with this you get the Didgeridoo sound. Think Tibetan throat singing with guttural resonance techniques.
It's all in the tongue with death vocals in general. Great tutorial man!

Dope video man! Been trying to get this sound with my vocals for a few months now. Everyone else's videos on it really didn't make sense. Nailed it the first time I tried with your method. Now if I can only find a way to properly mix my vocals with my instrumentals, I can get around to recording again lol

Now Ive got to mess around with this technique. I still dont know if Im doing false chords though. Im thinking maybe Im doing a mixture of fry and false chords. idk. All Ive ever known was fry vocals for my whole vocal career which is short, like 3 years
Hey dude, I have a serious question pertaining to this technique... How do you say and pronounce words without it sounding like you have a huge lisp? Because I have the general sound down good but saying things with it is hard aha. Any advice? Or just practice?

Frank Mayhew What i do is curl my toung upwards on the roof of my mouth like a reverse hotdog, it allows me to use correct pronunciation while getting a beasty sound. though it takes a while to actually get, ive been doing it for over 9 - 10 months now and i still have yet to get a correct breathing pattern for it to last long.

I believe i'm a fry vocalist and i've watched a few tutorials on how to do false chord, i'm still unsure if i'm doing it right, and I have no clue how to do Gutturals (which I also want to learn) just seems like no one out there explains it in a way that I can replicate and understand.

Hey Mitch, was wondering how long I should be able to do this before it gets painful, I can get about 10 solid minutes in optimal conditions, seems like maybe I'm screwing up the technique.
Just do it until your voice begins to crack, stop. If it hurts too badly, you may be performing it wrong. It is alot of air, but not a lot of pressure. So don't strain yourself doing it. Just take it easy if it hurts.
