Is it me or does it seem like having the new floors has been helping you find your style for your home again? Everything is coming along so beautifully!
Large, arched leaning mirrors on either side of the fireplace would be beautiful if you don’t end up putting tall windows there. I think sofas with taller backs would be nice, too. You could always go darker with the upholstery but also have white cotton slipcovers made for them, too. Then you have options. Your home is beautiful and you’re making it more “you” with each video you share.
White denim is an excellent choice for slipcovers. Just make sure you prewash fabric! 😊 And can I just say, I just loved the blue and white rug you had this winter. You just have the best style and you make it look effortless. ❤

Pull out a color from the rug for your couch color. I did a tweed fabric in browns, creams and tans, it’s beautiful and goes with all the holiday decor. I also had them use “extra firm” foam in the cushions! Plus, the sofa style is a “tight back” so no slumping, back pillows that ALWAYS need fluffing. The only fluffing I do is the accent pillows😘. I Love it!
Why not install some built in bookshelves on each side of the fireplace? With some fancy trim around them!

I found your channel when looking for new (to me) decor channels. I loved your Victorian and your classic, traditional style.
When you moved into this house, though it is a great house, no doubt, it just didn’t feel like you. It seemed like you were not truly in love with it but I can see now you are making it yours. All of the newest things you’re doing look fantastic and you seem happier with it. French country/Provençal is definitely a fantastic way to go to incorporate the things you love.

Lauren, possible you could take wall down between large living room and kitchen, so you could have more room for family. I would push kitchen sink area to your now eating area and then have what is your smaller living area as sorta "keeping room with fireplace with a couple of chairs...just a thought..still love the horses! I think your living room looks pretty, love the greens! If it were me, I’d put my piano in that room and then have one or two cozy conversation areas with a couple of chairs and a small table. I know pianos aren’t for everyone but maybe there is some other thing you could feature in there instead of couches since you have a family room for hanging out?

Looks beautiful! If that front room is unused I would use at dining room and put super large dining table parallel to fireplace. Maybe a small couch under front window and buffet on opposite wall ( back of kitchen).❤

I love your former style that you’re bringing back, and I’m enjoying watching your spring decorating videos. We’re having some nice weather in Ohio tight now, but it’s too early to get true spring yet. I do have spring fever!
I agree with some other comments that Camel color coaches would be so nice with your blue that you have for your french provincial accents.
I love all your decorating. I have lots of the same blue and white jars and similar pillows which look so fresh. If I had your sofas in the living room, I would put light gray washable slipcovers on them. With the children using the room to play it would make more sense so the stains and marks wouldn’t show. It would save you so much money instead of buying new sofas.
So sorry to hear about your mother . My thoughts are with you and all your family . The loss is terrible . We lost our Father at the end of January so I it’s still very raw for us . We lost our mother 26 years ago .

I love that you don’t share your kids on your channel. I don’t like when CZcamsrs do that, especially as they get older. But any age is just not right because they don’t understand the long term consequences. Good for you. You are such a hardworking, loving and wonderful mother and homemaker.

About the formal living room - I’m guessing the wall inbetween is a bearing wall, but maybe it could be torn down and some support pillars put in instead, and then just extend the kitchen a little bit. Your husband might have some good ideas about it :)
I would convert that room to a lovely full dining room. The fireplace would be beautiful as well. I know you would love having a full size dinning room table!

Everything looks so good. When you first moved in and had a more modern style I almost gave up the channel. You’re so motivating I had to keep watching. So glad you went back to your style.
Lauren, I think because it’s so large, perhaps you could have a freestanding fireplace dividing the room
In half instead of on the wall, so it creates a lounge area and an area adjoining your kitchen like a formal dining area or even a small den, like bookshelves, ladder and lovely writing desk. Then add French doors either side of the fireplace now and it will have a double flow, Dickson and accent. The ceilings are tall enough to handle it, and the finishing could be stunningly beautiful with a gorgeous reclaimed timber mantle and support corbels. Very French farmhouse but also grand and inviting.
I just want to say that you're such a wonderful momma! You have so many lovely things yet you embrace your kids playing basketball in the house and I think that is great! You take so much thought into their food and food presentation. I just think you need to write a book someday concerning the art of living. ❤❤❤❤

Your home is beautiful and I'm loving how your decorating it. Its just so cozy and lovely. I think a darker couch other than white is better with the kids. Whatever you choose will be great. It takes time to have things the way you want but your headed in the right direction.
Try West Elm for a sofa. I have a the haven sofa. They have a performance fabric in gray you may like it. I suggest ordering it with a single bench cushion. It’s really nice . Your supper looks delicious. TFS

I really love the style you choose for your home. What about beautiful Grey throws on your white couches. You could change them for any other colour that suits the seasonal decorating that you are doing. It is so lovely to see that your children feel at home in this room and they can shoot a few balls. I love the idea of a bigger verandah like the one you had at the Victorian. It will all work out nicely in the end. Have fun with all of your planning.

Love the dining room table setting, I love the lemons. So beautiful and bright fir spring. I love the chinoiserie vases, I have a lot of them in my home. The fireplace mantle turned out so pretty. My mantal is so narrow I can barely put anything on it. My husband is actually going to make a custom mantle for me. So I will be happy I can finally dress up that area. Where do you typically buy your coffee table books from ?? I love all your floral stems. Your meal looks so yummy. I am definitely going to need to make this. Have you ever thought about coming out with a cookbook ?? I am planning to do an all herb garden bed too. I can't wait to get my garden started. Its been very rainy and cold where I live too. You should try a formal dining table in there and smaller couches on the other half. I think you would find yourself using it a lot since you do like a formal sit down meal!

White couches would have lasted less than 5 minutes in my house when my kids were small. Life happens, and the couches would have told the story. I recently bought a new chair for my living room and was having a hard time deciding on the color. The store had an app where I could superimpose chairs I was considering onto an image of my living room. It was really helpful for helping me make my decision.
How about making that room into a family room and the other room a dining room
