I would be way more excited for the collector boxes if the commander cards weren’t included. Takes away a spot that I would rather have more modern cards in.
To be fair, MH2 collector boxes only had 4 rares per pack. The commander rares is a new slot for MH3.

Not exactly sure how I feel about the designated commander slot.. I feel like it should have been a maybe a commander card slot... Feels kinda bad.
It's a commander about 20% of the time and a commander card about 80% of the time.

@@thor82ak Yes, but mh2 only had four rares per pack so this is an upgrade no matter how you look at it
I like how you can see which cards are the "filler" even in these expensive packs...
Commons and uncommons sometimes have value, but we won't know until the set prices settle out.

I'm more or less saddened by what appears to be very obvious "rares that are more common than others" thing again..
@@VultureXV Ah. Sometimes it feels that way, but it's usually a pretty even distribution. The main difference is if a rare has alternate arts or not.
These being US printed is a BIIIG YIKES.

Also personal preference and all but if anyone thinks the US printers do justice on retro foils especially compared to Japan print you're just coping. US printers make retro look like ass.
Some very nice pulls. Somehow not sure on the collector value. Seen cards drop significantly after a few months. Like the Double Masters 22 Liliana Textured Foil from 240 USD to around 35 USD.

Those retro fetches are nice. I love the more vivid retro borders in comparison to the OG border.
I don't know if it's an error or they're supposed to be like that.

the textureds look super shiny compared to previous textured foil cards!
They do look more rainbow-y, I like it!

Why does it look like the cards are curling immediately as the pack is opened?
You should see OG commander legends collector packs. Those had fierce curl straight out of the pack.

When a Mint Card is already damaged out of the pack...
They'll replace the one misprinted/damaged card if the person reaches out to Wizards.
First pack, already have QA issues. Let's hope its not a common thing. Especially for premier sets.

Wow the fetch land pull rate seems really low.
Depends on the box. We had a couple triple fetch packs.
@@RipAndShip Of course. From what I've seen here and in other channels the average seems to be 4-6 fetches per collector box. At the $350-400 price point I think a lot of people were expecting Ravnica Remastered shock rates of about 8 per box.

Easy way to tell for the future is so far has been they have reverse orders to each other, Japan puts rare in front, US rare in back.
