House Velaryon aren't called dragons because that's only Targaryens. Rhaenys being a Targaryen is why their children and grandchildren have dragons, Carly's is not a dragon rider and neither was his brother. They are both Valyrian houses but not both dragon houses.

You incorrect actually; you don’t need Targaryen blood to claim a dragon, you just need to have Valryian blood. The Velaryons are technically Valyrian too but they don’t own dragons of their own. They prefer the sea and ships

In fact, you don't necessarily have to be a targaryen to ride a dragon. nettles did not have valyrian characteristics, but he had valyrian blood and was able to ride sheepstealers. and in valyria there were also many dragon riders who did not have the name targaryen

This shows the hypocrisy of Cole and Allison her pendant. She wears around her neck, stands for dignity, decency and purity, and he puts on his white cloak after they have sex. She was judging rhaenyra so harshly for hooking up for him but now she does this not only on occasion but very often.
Alicent judge rhaenyra for hooking up with someone while the princess the future queen was looking for amarriage propsals, she judge her because she is sleeping around while she is married, and she then judges her for producing obvious bastards that greatly increases a succession crisis.
Alicent is no longer married, she gave the king his heirs, n now she is free to be with who she wants its completely different case then rhaenyra. If it turns out alicent was sleeping around before or during the marriage then its hypocrisy.

For anyone in the future saying stuff like Luke and Jace aren’t velaryon, viserys’ grandmother was Alyssa Valeryon, all Targaryens already have velaryon blood mixed into them. They aren’t Laenors sons but they are still of valeryon blood. Also please don’t look at the Targaryen family tree, it literally gives away the ending of the house of the dragon by showing you who Dany is directly descended from.

Great reaction! House Velaryon (Corlys and Rhaenys house) does still exist in the main era of Game of Thrones. I wanna say that they are BRIEFLY referred to in Season 2??? But I could be wrong. They do still exist though. Alicent has four children by King Viserys. The fourth, Dareon Targaryen, is likely to be featured as a young man next season, if not this season, then next.

Helaena isn't really "calm". The show has kind of showed that she sees the future, and that she's most likely neurodivergent. She's clearly scarred and she did run away with her other child. She just doesn't process things the same way others do

Alicent did have another younger son Daeron I don't know why they decided to not mention him, but there are rumors that they had him sent to their ancestoral home to be a bearer of some sort. Haleana also had 3 kids. 2 boys and a girl. (Jaehaerys, Maelor, Jaehaera)
Also the Blood and Cheese incident played out way worse in the books with them making Haleana choose which son to kill. She haggles with them until they threaten to do unspeakable things to her daughter. so she ended up choosing Maelor(youngest son) because she thought he would be too young to understand what was happening. They ened up offing Jaehaerys anyways and tells Maelor he needs to remember that hims mother wanted him dead. That's when Haleana becomes hysterical.
I also hope they change a little of what happened for the ending also. Maesters have shown time and time again that they would and will change things.
its bad writing that made them not mention Daeron. That's the only option that makes sense at this point

Even so, the casual audience is not thinking "Oh this must mean Alicent has 4 kids instead of 3" Because who in their right mind would leave out an entire child out of a succession story? Viserys did not even remember him during the family dinner. This is undefendable on the writers part. One tiny hint that says there are 4 children does not compare to a million hints that says there a are only 3.
Rhaenyra’s first line was “I want Aemond Targaryen”. If the Queen wants you dead, you’re dead.

Game of Thrones is based on the first 4 books GRRM wrote. Seasons 5-8 was on a whim of D&D and they dropped the ball on seasons 7 and 8.

"You were named before there was a male heir and the report is that it was King Viserys' dying wish to have Aegon be the heir, so my father's oath is null & void. I'm Team Green." OR 3. "You look like you need some help to hold onto your crown there, missy. Team Green promised to have Prince Aemond marry one of my daughters. Make me an offer." There was ABSOLUTELY no need to risk her son AND a dragon, two valuable pieces. She gave the order, it's on her.

He got off lightly. And he stole Vhagar who Laena willed to Rhaena. The night of her funeral at that. He was wrong for that.
Rhaenyra specifically looks at daemon when she asks for aemond and that’s what he asked for.
And then Cheese looked at him and asked what if we can't find him so Daemon looked back and said "a son for a son". We know this by being hit over the head with context clues and writing conventions.

Someone tweeted about if Rhaena stays up late at night thinking about if she claimed Vhagar first, her mothers dragon, Luke would still be alive. I think she still doesnt have a dragon yet. If she claimed Vhagar first, they would’ve never fought and Aemond would’ve never lost an eye. They wouldve had Vhagar on their side and Luke would still be her husband. In a way, the war wouldve been easily won.

The dragons in GOT were not afraid to go beyond the wall like the HOD dragons because they were not born and raised in these lands, so they really didn’t know any better.

Daemon ordered the murder of Aegon’s heir, not Aemond’s. They really ruined Blood&Cheese in the show, the book’s version is so much better, more impactful. Helaena was a good mother and pleaded for the life of all her babies offering her life instead and Alicent was right there gagged not humping Cole.🤦🏻♀️ Well, the show runners always think they can do better than the source material which is never the case. Please read the book’s version, it’s all about the horrible choice a mother is forced to make, insane drama.
As a book reader, I wasn’t trying to relive that in the show version. Especially in the times we’re in. I understand wanting that impact in the show, however, that was something I was just fine without. The sounds were just enough. And Alicent being with Cole makes sense since the show is highlighting her hypocrisy, which she very much is.
@@PINKisME92 Yes, but Alicent is not hypocritical in the book, she’s straight forward 'evil' not sneaking around with Cole. And it’s not like we were asking to witness the beheading of a baby, but the whole incident was so tragic, Helaena pleaded for the life of her babies, she offered hers instead, they threatened to rape her baby girl and kill them all. People were waiting for two years for this gut wrenching moment that would have the audience at the edge of their seats. What we got in the show was rushed and underwhelming, worse from a book without POV characters.
The way the show GOT ended was not based on any books and George RR Martin didnt have any say so. He has way more influence in this production. The book is finished for this, so I hope they stick the landing.
