Today I'm giving you an update on my Moxi Lolly Skates along with a little cautionary tale. I'm also going over some additional resources I have found and what I think are must-have accessories for your skates as a first-time owner.

The fact that moxi send you a new toe stop is VERY nice, cause it’s just kind of user error. I actually lost my toe stop too my first time skating 😂

My skates are not from moxi, but when they arrived there was one toe stop missing. Someone in the factory thought 'nope you only get one' 😅😂
What size are those I wear a 9.5 in women so I don’t know I want the moxi panthers ones
Just bought a pair of blue Barbies for my wife, I sure hope that she loves them as much as I love her. Of course I love her way more lol.

She definitely love’s them!! Just got the toe protector’s, some harder wheels for indoor skating and laces. Oh and some new toe stops. Everything is in pink so she can change the look once in a while. Thanks again for sharing!
Coat them jawns with clear nail polish (right when u get um) to save the letters longer. Did that on my elite rollerbones.

I ordered the Moxi Lollys in Clementine in July and the mirror balls from Moonlight Roller in August. Still waiting for both pair but I can’t wait to skate soon hopefully
I have my eye on Moonlight, they have some beautiful boots, I don't think I'm ready to buy another pair yet 😆 Are you a new skater, what made you buy two pairs?

Your toe stops are really high maybe that’s another reason for your scrapes, but everyone’s toe stop level is of preference

btw, on Etsy, there are a lot of designs for skate leashes and toe caps, and some of them are cheaper and cuter than the rollerstuff designs ;)

I sprayed my Moxi Lollies with a waterproof spray before first use. Toe caps too.

Thanks! That was very useful! I just bought Moxi Lollys AND toe caps. (Lol) I just love looking at them! I used to roller skate everywhere when I was growing up so I’m THRILLED to get back into it!! I’m just waiting for my protective gear to arrive. and some laces I ordered. In the meantime I’m watching & learning all kinds of tips and tricks before I go out there and roller skate! Those toe caps are suuuper cute! I've been skating for a month and am already having trouble with one of my Moxi toe stops falling out lol. No idea why, it just started happening recently (maybe it's a thing??). I def recommend Scotchguarding your skates esp since yours are still pretty fresh and have a vibrant color. It'll preserve the pink suede 💖

Great information, still waiting on my skates 🙄.. however i have all my accessoires. I tried rollerstuff but had a poor experience. Went with another vendor for my toe covering.

Very helpful video. I did put moxi toe caps (in 🍉) on my new Lollys (in 🍏) yesterday then thought "is it too much?"
I kinda went obnoxious w/matching 🍉 color laces. But I thought I was being TOO cautious w/adding caps. However, I was working on fast pivot stops, slope stops and spins today and now thankful I put those darn toe caps on. I could have really ruined my skates way worse than yours. Btw, ur skates are really cute!

So 100% user error, but this girl gets a free toe stop AND still complains about it?! I'm gonna make a video of how I forgot my skates at the park and see if Moxi sends me a new pair... -_-

Hahahah thought the same thing.
I lost a toe stop in the rink one night when I fell. Luckily another skater grabbed it and asked me if it was mine.
I think the toe stop thing is kind of a problem with the moxi skates, I tightened mine as much as i possibly could and it still keeps falling out.
It's never happened to my other skates.

I ordered pool blue Lolly’s June 15, was told last week, they (Moxi) have no eta for June orders. I have the same toe covers as you & we’re both just waaaaiting on the skates to arrive. Luckily for me I already had the jungle ivy skate. I purchased the Suregrip boot 73 in early July and have been on those since. Now I’m not even sure I want lolly’s 😩🤦🏽♀️
Omg no ETA is really disappointing. Did you just want to try a different boot? Owning the suede now, I've been thinking about a leather boot but def won't be purchasing another pair anytime soon yet lol
Mo0dymel No ETA yet, they’re still trying to clear May’s backlog. Moxi customer service has been great with replying to my email... it takes about 48-72 hours, that’s completely reasonable to me. Luckily for me, I have skates while waiting and I live in So. Cal, it’s almost always skate weather. I was going to give my Jungle Ivys to my daughter (but she wasn’t feeling the leopard) because the Beach Bunnies she wanted were sold out. I bought another pair just because tbh. I LOOVE the Suregrip 73 boot. Great ankle support like the Ivy, just real leather and all black.
I just hope I like the ankle flexibility in the Lolly. I’ve gotten used to stiff ankle boots.
Oh & a complete side note: my baby girl got her Beach Bunnies last month. Had her first lesson yesterday... and she can skate now. I’m so happy for her.
I'm still waiting on my Honeydew Lollys. I ordered June 16th, was told they'd ship this week, but now they're saying next month. And other people that ordered their Honeydews are getting theirs now :'(
Kalli Solursh if I didn’t get strawberry I would have gotten those! 😍 Ugh that’s what happened when I first ordered... when they reposted people with my same order I reached out to get their order date!
I have been waiting for honeydews since May 20th. And I totally understand. It’s so frustrating seeing people who ordered after you get theirs first. I still haven’t heard a peep about mine. I emailed Moxi in September and they said they would ship, “anytime between today and two weeks into October”. Trying really hard to be patient.😕
@@simonzdiamonds I emailed customer service again the other day and I just got their response. Now they're saying that the May orders are just about done and they'll be sending the June orders after. "I would anticipate your order to ship anywhere from end of this month to early November."
I ordered honeydews on May 18 and I barely got them today, 20 weeks later
@@simonzdiamonds OMG that was about the time I ordered mine.... I know they make the colors in batched but that is way behind schedule. Have you called Riedell??
OOH I might get one of the rollerstuff leashes. They seem longer than the moxi one I have. As for toe caps I use the Sure Grip Toe Jammers on my black lolly's because they form fit better. On my periwinkle bunny's I just have the stock toe caps until I can find some different ones. :)

@@MelodyLove The beginner kind mostly, but I plan to just cruise around town. I don't own a car, nor have I ever learned to drive one, so my hope is to be able to skate everywhere I can currently walk to, Including to and from work. MAYBE park skating sometime in the far future. Who knows? :)

Hmmm I remember girls would lose their toe stops during roller derby matches. Always on the riedells with powerdyne plates. Mine were riedell too but it never happened to me. Still, I saw it happening and I thought it was kind of dangerous. What if other skaters are next to you and they trip over it?
This was like 10 years ago. I don’t understand how they haven’t fixed this yet.

Hi Kim, they do! This video was taken about my second/third day of use
It shouldn’t happen frequently. We are a 3 generation of roller skater and we rarely lose a toe stop. It’s done happen but not frequently:) enjoy you new skates
