Love how laid back and unassuming Chris is. His builds are incredible and that Mustang is unreal…love how he’s prepared to break with tradition and runs the LS-3 because it made sense for his particular application. Great video…👍🏼👍🏼😊😊👏🏼👏🏼🔥🔥❤️
I saw this in person at SEMA a few years ago, it became my favorite car by far.

Best Mustang Build I’ve seen in a decade or more. I like his GT40 build too.
Real nice build, just wish it had a Ford motor in it. Not all restomod/restored old Fords has to have a Coyote, a stroker small block Ford would've been 👌🏻
Right? A modern aluminum 5.8 Windsor can be stroked to 427
Great except for the greatest old school Mustang motors are the 429 side Oiler the 429 Cobra Jet. The 427 thunderjet Cobra Jet. The only old school Mustang built with a small block were made for women and small children

Love the detail and craftsmanship on the Mustang! Incredible garage of vehicles to boot. Would of been really kool to see a stroker small block Ford with EFI in the engine bay though.

I don't know why people seem to think the only engine options are the absolute newest engines. There are engines other than the LS or Coyote that would have produced the same power. The LS really cheapens the build. Not because it's a Chevy in a Ford, but because it's the most basic choice possible. Custom work everywhere, but a Wal-Mart LS crate motor under the hood. Would have been epic to see a Cleveland with a full Weber IR intake.
Also-- claims to hate fake scoops, but runs a hood scoop when the carb feeds from ducts.
Feel free to build your own then if you want to complain about his lol.
@@berube361 I don't have to bake a cake to know if a cake tastes bad. I don't have to write a song to know if a song is out of tune. I don't have to make a movie to talk about bad acting. And I don't have to build a car to point out problems with a build. Besides, I have built cars.
Simply amazing! The level of detail and work involved do not go unnoticed. Definitely a one of a kind car.

Some very nice sleds, the Ruffin 70 Stang is flat out gorgeous! I also like the Mono and 420R 4 bangers, they fly around a road track. Nice vintage Mopars too. Definitely a nice collection of of cool sleds.

I want to believe that the engineers at Ford proposed something close to this in 1969/70 for production , but the " Bean Counters " killed it . 😁
What a great car, love it, a bit disappointed he didn't start it though. This young guy has a nice collection of rides, he does some great work.

I followed that guy for years, so sad some of his cars were effected in that mud slide but I’m glad he was able to make this happen still.

Beautiful car love the trans-am racing inspired styling ,but I would have had to have a 427 FE big block in it, but to each his own.
A lot of hard work gone into that mustang but well worth it. Enjoyed the tour .

I’d have something like that severely wrapped around a tree in no time, but man, the the short time before that event would be exhilarating! Beautiful build.
I drove a 70 Mach 1 fastback, with a 351 Windsor and FMX transmission (I think), and a 9 inch axle. I bought it in 1997-or-1998 for $400! It needed a quarter panel and mild mechanical repairs to get it back on the road! I did, but sold it within an year. I went through a lot of muscle cars during those two years and just before graduating high school! Agh! I regret letting go of some of those cars.

A well done car, I can feel the love, the time, the sweat and the money .. but the LS in it makes my heart hurt, this car could be ordered with big blocks, even 429 boss towers would have given you room, and you can easily do a small block ford into a 427 at the same HP level, even more .. .. love the rest of it, the engine hurts my soul
Yeah agree, but I love that he’s prepared to break with tradition and he’s probably getting the same HP out of the LS for a lot less expense that what he would put of an all alloy SBF Windsor? Aside from the understandable reaction to the motor choice - which there will always be a reaction to 😉 - the build is next level and very, very cool! 😎👍🏼😊
I agree Scott, needs a ford engine, otherwise the car feels different driving, torque, mid range, such a bad ass car though!
When you build one, you can put whatever engine you want in it.

Yup, stopped watching as soon as the LS was known. What a boring engine. Yeah it makes cheap power. But just not very interesting.

Amazing build. The craftsmanship is next level. So much to love. Seems like you really went the extra mile to keep the car legit. So to speak. Got the manual on how turn a mustang into a race car. So much trans am and Nascar influence. Went so far as to make the vents functional. But then put a LS in it. Ok so maybe a coyote wouldn't fit. A 427 cubic inch Windsor motor would have. Then the boss 427 badge wouldn't feel like such a slap in the face to the boss 302, boss 351, or boss 429. But it's your car. Love it anyway.

As soon as he said there's an LS3 in a Mustang, I tuned out. So it's not a BOSS Mustang or a 427. What's wrong with keeping it the way it's supposed to be if you appreciate a Mustang and a BOSS 427. I don't even own a Mustang, but still appreciate the passion that Ford put in building Mustangs. C'mooon man!!
100% disgusting. He had plenty of options but because he's a chevy fanboy all they can think is LS swapping EVERYTHING. I doubt those Mopars even have Mopar engines in them.
I agree, badging it as a BOSS 427 and dropping that LS hurt my soul…I was looking forward to some sweet ass big block and killed the feed as soon as he said LS…
