It may be that we are seeing the bike in a smaller screen but I think it’s gorgeous. I’ve always loved the Triumph brand. My second was a Cub 250 in 63. Almost a dirt bike but perfect for a 16 year old living in Guam where the limit was 45mph. I’ve always thought of Triumph as a prestige brand

I find it interesting that they only made this as a limited edition, it was easy for them to sell a limited run to existing Triumph owners but I guess they didn’t feel confident that they could take on the smaller engined sports bikes (V2, R6, etc) in the market full time / bigger volumes ? I used to own a street triple and changed as I wanted a faired bike, I wasn’t going to spend £15 k on the Daytona so they lost me as a customer to Ducati

It's a lovely little bike and the cost you are complaining about probably has a lot to do with the carbon that you so like ... (wouldn't want to drop the bike too much).
What I don't get is the point of Triumph indicating the bike's dry weight, I mean who rides around on a dry bike?

Before I watch the vid. It can't beat the 899 as it simply is on par with older 675 as the 765 is simply too strangled.

I'm sure, riders that own these, really love them, but for the money, the choice out there is huge, so you have to be a big daytona fan to justify.

Had a close look at the Triumph and only a very quick spin. To be honest it looks dated, and fit and finish a real let down for a supposedly premium "limited edition" bike. I thought it looked a bit cheap. Loved the ride quality and the engine, but not enough to overlook the completely underwhelming first impressions.

Could not agree more. I love the original Daytona looks. It still looks brilliant and will be a classic. This one despite being covered in carbon looks like nothing special. I think triumph lost their design way except of their heritage range. The new speed rr front is botched as well by the chamfered edges to rather nice from fairing and oddly mounted light. It was so close to be brilliant. Superveloce quality of design it ain’t.

I’d be over the moon just to demo this bike for an hour . . . or two. Not far from where I live (Triumph dealership in Nova Scotia, Canada) has #765 of the 765 Daytona Moto2™ Limited Edition available, for $19 500 + fees. I’m not going to ask for a demo . . .

This or 9K for a five year old standard 899 Panigale? As you said, you pays your money and takes your choice but I'd buy the Ducati any day of the week -- brio wins every time, plus I'm a tight barsteward ;-)

Its nice but £15,765 for a 3/4 litre? That's a lot, I know there's acres of carbon but carbon isn't that special anymore. I have to agree its a bit parts bin jobby. Positives, sound, quality in the right areas. Are triumph attempting to sell a brand much like harley, classic motorcycling. I think so. Maybe they'll sell it as a lifestyle next.

Triumph are having a laugh ,for 15 grand it should be perfect & have a proper substantial seat & rear end & neater cables & such .The more carbon fibre tat I see on a motorcycle the less I want to look at it ,the material must be cheap as chips by now .Also never seen the point of an overpowered race type looking bike for public roads that have max speed limit 70 mph shared also by homicidal cage & wagon drivers . These motorcycles are expensive toys for those bikers who imagine they are some Moto GP ace or enjoy track days ,or Mr Flyer who has a passion for this genre .They are not for me ,I would require oxygen these days to ride at reckless speeds approaching 70 mph that these bikes can doubly exceed .Good honest review 👍
