I worked on these glasses while at meta :). The 2nd version of glasses, you can ask your glasses “when was the last time I saw my wallet?” It will go back in its memory and locate the object and let you know

I had the original Ray-Ban stories, and I picked these up when they dropped a few months ago, with the transitions lenses. They are a decent pair of sunglasses with the ability to take some decent pictures and they just added a few AI features. I love them.
The best review iof these so far. It has highlighted many of the issues why I've not bought a pair. I'm severely sight impaired and would find the video and photography helpful in situations where I'm not sure what I'm looking at, I could take a pic and look later at my convenience and not worry about dropping my phone/white stick/dog! Video format and length are deal breakers but audio and phone call capability are really interesting.

Could you please review J f rey sungglasses? On their website they only say they use polarised lenses and I wonder what kind of coatings they use etc.
Honestly, I have had a set since they came out there really good glasses, the AI is actually pretty accurate and detailed it’s like a google assistant but smarter. I use these as my everyday glasses and I have had no issues with them. I’ve been able to record videos at theme parks and the video quality is amazing for a POV on Roller Coasters and Rides. I’ve been able to talk to family members through them that’s amazing when you’re in a place you don’t want earbuds on. The fact that I can get POV footage while talking to my family is amazing too. These are the best glasses I’ve ever owned for the price and what you pay for is really worth it. If you have questions let me know

if they sort out the 60 second recording limit, i could see these becoming a great option for vloggers and streamers on the go.
There’s no time limit when using them to livestream to IG/FB.
And you can go back and save the streamed video to another device after. It’s due to the storage limit on device.

Great review 😁👌 I’m going to be getting an eye test and wanted to get these. I don’t usually wear that kind of glasses for all day use. The ones in my pic are just regular wayfarer sunglasses. What I’m not sure about is what size to get? Should I get the same size as the current sunglasses I have? They don’t have stock in so I can’t try ones on to find out :/
Had my eye test and ordered the transition shiny black frame wayfarers. Will take 1-2 weeks though 😵💫 but worth the wait
So at the time of this recording I’m sure his version had not received the update but now with version 4.1 I believe the meta assistant is a lot smarter and can actually identify things you’re looking at and answer questions like the ones he asked in the video
You mentioned you switched out the lenses since. Is that "easy" for most opticians? I mean, is it the same as to change the lenses on ordinary Ray-Bans? I live in Sweden, hence why I am asking.
At least when they got obsolete you'll still have nice quality frames right? 😅...

Hi Robert,i rarely place a comment,but i wanted to thank you on a video for the rimless Cartier Frame Panthere,since i saw you video im in love with the Cartier brand i got now 3 panthere's and 1 Piccadilly,ofcourse its alot of money,but then again Cartier is something else,the piccadilly is in order at my shop ( netherlands ) my 3th panthere is with prescription glasses in nice light blue-ish colour.....damn what a beauty

You can use voice commands to record and stop rather than pressing the button. That's what I do for a full handsfree experience. I also love using the earphone to listen to audiobooks. My main gripe is the battery life.
If you've got the version 4 update, you can do more with voice commands. I recently got it and started using the "Hey Meta, look and tell me" command. But it's still a hit and miss.
Look clumsy and heavy. I'd think twice before putting them on even if they offered to pay me to do that. I bet Mister Zuck never puts them on when there's nobody around.
Interesting topic, and I also always wondered why this tech has not been developed way further. On the other hand, Meta is probably the last company I want to give all access to my life. And with constant cam/mic access they get really ALL your life data. I stay analog I guess

I had to return mines the fit was horrible they hurted.

You could have chosen the Transitions Signature Gen 8 lenses, they would have been available with these smart glasses.

Hello mate, can you please do some revive on then new RAY BAN model is LARRY, that are hand made in Japan from real acetate, i have to say quality is astonishing.
These will not sell well until Meta lets them talk to native apps i.e messages, notes, open apps read notification or just let them be used as bluetooth glasses with the native assistant.
One day, these headsets/glasses are going to be fantastic though. They look like regular frames which is still an amazing thing when you think about it. I def. think this is the future.

the problem is that these doesnt fit to many people and feels looks cheap
also not really usefull while way too expensive
if its gonna be in an aviator style with more camera function and better AI than maybe going to worth the price
but now . . . its just an expensive toy

So they're mediocre glasses whose only useful feature is the pov camera which, however, will only film for 60 seconds, only in portrait mode because that's the type of content mark zuckerberg wants people to make. This product is a joke.
If you're a professional talking about the packaging is a waste of time
If you want to make a video longer than 60 seconds you can live stream to fb and others for up to 30 mins… your video will be saved to that social media account, very few people seem to have picked up on that detail.
