- Here's part 2 of my remake of the History of Singapore's Transit Buses, this part showing buses introduced during the transitioning era from SBS to SBS Transit and TIBS to SMRT in the 2000s.
I do not own the songs! All copyright goes to Linkin Park and Kevin Rudolf. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I like how this guy puts happy music on the decade where every old buses were being scrapped
going back in 2011 was worth, i was born at 2011. mostly all old bus from 2011 onwards, actually got scrapped a lot
SMB138Y is now rebodied and served as an Airport shuttle in Perth, Western Australia. Still has the SMRT doors closing announcement
I Miss This Volvo
I want go back to 2011 to see the old buses
My generation of buses… it will never be forgotten.
RIP SBS9888Y, SBS7440T and the rest of the buses in the Ang Mo Kio Depot Fire...
i miss man a22 euro 6 sbs livery
?!
I like SBS RANSIT and a draw all of then .My friend love my drawing from you and SMRT and i like the song.
U forgot the t on the ransit
Or you can say SBST
In 2015 I saw one of the last old busses.
2012 - The last Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
was scrapped at 4:07-4:11
This is probably one of the best era for public transportation
totally
Yea but the sad part is that so many older buses were scrapped in the following
Songs in used Numb (intro) let it rock (2010 x outro)
I love the first song!
I feel sad that the volvo b10m mark 4 are gone now... used to ride on them... remember how cushioned the seats were
Anyway remember i still saw volvo b10m mark 4 in like 2016 or later
Really
3:43 i see this bus service everyday, mercades benz citrao and sciana k230 ub also i herd they will have double deckers soon
I like numb, move Mania and let it rock
OMG I like boom boom pow and.................... (to next episode)
1:36 I may or may not remember this bus but I used to take this to my primary school
Nice video
I like the song its cool
the Alexander Dennis Enviro is at 2017
I think I know why some Mk2/3s were scrapped in 2008 and 2012 because the Mk2 is non air con and the Mk3 is aircon
Some mk2s were air-conditioned
@@sutrblx5546 Do you even live in Singapore?
@@abnertheyoutubertime yes
@@sutrblx5546 oh ok
One thing that they never improve upon is the seats. The backrest is too low. My head is always dangling in the air and this makes me dizzy. I need to slouch in order to have support for my head.
Sean even with the busses with higher seats?
What is your intro song name I wanna hear the full
6:21 it should be SMB5888H into SMB5888S
Typo error I guess
Why the lifetime of buses in singapore are so short? In some countries they use the bus for up to 20 plus years! They shd keep some of the old buses and let people ride on it sometimes
True. I actually live in Canada now and I have been on a few buses from the 1970s and 1980s. Also in London I heard that they still use of some old Routemaster double decker buses.
parts from old buses that work fine such as the engine and wheels are caniblised to other perfect conditioned buses
Because bus preservation is not allowed in Singapore which is quite sad.
Sg, all buses will be Eco friendly by 2040, so all diesel buses are being retired SLOWLY
@@josephinthechickensoup123I fear that the A95, A22 and all the new diesel buses will prematurely get retired
2:40 SBST's OC500LE was scrapped last year after the company that bought it originally couldn't sell it onwards.
So sad... 😢
@@TheRealNAuthenticIzaria3436 it's number plate is on a Toyota Coaster currently.
@@Terence_Rajan what?!
why would sbs transit reject the oc500le trail and sell it to private companies
Their apparent love for Scania buses apparently
Merce 0405 on SBS was the bomb.. The sound it made that engine noisem heaven
4:03
*Note*
SMB 138Y was sell to Perth Airport Shuttle
I saw the bus at Perth airport
It's SMB222L
@@smrtc751bsuperguytrainexpi6 No lah SMB222L scrapped
To the old bus: what a wasteful scrapping the bus right that! Bangkok need a Bus from you!!!! They need more Scania and Volvo and less Sunlong and Yutong!
You forgot to put 2016 demonstrator buses are now training bus no longer revenue service. Which is stupid and they did the contract if they didn’t do it that will not happend to demo buses but 5888 388 5999 5001 5002 4006 4005 and ex 4003D now PD169L is still revenue service btw
Some of the bus are not scrapped they just very very rare to find them i know because im a Singaporean
like the hispano habit??
@@roguemr420 yup
Was SBS998Y Scrapped After The Accident Or Was It Repaired?
It was repaired. I found a picture of it back on the road a few months after the accident: www.flickr.com/photos/hilifta/44896024452
Ok
It’s for sale on trade me New Zealand along with SBS999U now
@@carlfoster1000 Well, if I had the money, I most definitely would purchase them for my collection and bring them to a custom shop and repaint them back to their SBS Transit livery.
But I bet nobody bought them so they must be keeping them

So fast Scania more K230UB
I live in Singapore
same
my Volvo B10M are scrapped!!!!! at 6:36-6:46.
If you add SMB 1H and its trial's success, it would be perfect!
You may still see the mercedes 811Ds in malaysia
but this is singapore not malaysia lol
Bertie the Bus I meant you still can SEE this model in Malaysia if you are lucky.
Yes I am aware that in the video are all Singapore buses 😊
At JB..near a petrol station in larkin. It is a school bus in JB. I took a picture of it when I was there.😊
See my profile picture.
Not smb5888s 5888h
You should not put "5888s", you should put "5888h".
o
Eeerrm SMRT citaro was introduced in 2010 and SBST in 2012
SMB136C in 2010, and the others in 2011
David Chen I know
But cant he just put this:
2010: SMB 136C,a mercedes Citaro was introduced
And:
2011: More Citaros are introduced because of SMB136C's trial success
I think it is because sbst citaros don't have demonstrators
David Chen exactly
I like old buses and I hate the new once boo Singapore lousy!
tsk singapore dont keep buses lah
You have to understand that buses in Singapore have 17 years of registration lifespan. After their licenses expire, most of the buses would be towed for scrap.
